These folks WILL waste your time. They have serious communication issues even among the 3 geniuses at the desk. If I did my job this poorly I would be fired immediately. Don't let them waste your time. Go anywhere other than here and you'll be better off. They suck out loud.

Went here to buy a radiator for my truck. I get home, take the radiator out and it's rusted on the inside extremely bad. I live a good ways from L. A. S. So I waited until I had to go back to Hattiesburg to return it. The man behind the counter asked me if I had used it and I told him no that there was rust in it and I found a new one for a cheaper price online and he said he would still have to charge me 20%. The radiator was $85 after taxes I paid $90 and some odd change. Once I did the refund I only got back $73!!! I don't think that's right. I don't think radiators are good if they're rusted like that. I don't know much about vehicles and I do understand they are used parts but the parts should be of good quality if you are selling them. Another guy had purchased a radiator right before I did my refund and there was no rust inside his like there was in mine. The staff was friendly but I don't agree with the way they did my refund.

twelve minutes of listening to the recording telling me how important my call is, and I gave up. What's really nice is how the hold music stops and the phone starts ringing, giving you that faint glimmer of hope that someone is about to pick up...then after 20 or 30 rings, it's back to the hold music, and a robot lady telling me how important my call is. I've never felt so important!

I bought a gauge cluster in 2014 and asked several questions. Including if it was tested and if I need to return it would there be fees. The lady told me no fees just bring it back in less then 7 days. I had my mechanic install it and he stated it didn't work. Then I had the wife return it. The male employee at the desk didn't want to take it back then stated that we didn't know what we were doing if the part wasn't working and used rude and filthy language. Then said all he could do was take it and charge us a restock fee. We returned it but why would you restock a failed part. So not only did we have to pay to have it installed, then removed, then we had to pay a restock fee. So we will never buy from them again.

I called to see if they had a motor mount for my vehicle. Not only did I have to call twice because I was on hold for so long, but when the guy answered the phone, he answered "Hello" and cut me off half way through my question rudely with "I don't sell motor mounts" and hung up. "Lamar Auto Salvage, this is ______, what can I help you with today?" is appropriate for most businesses, but not this place apparently. You just get a dull, almost annoyed "Hello" and then cut off rudely half way through your question! Well EFF YOU TOO BUDDY! This is not only rude but unacceptable customer service. I will pay full price for a part before I spend one dime at a place that can't get their phone etiquette and customer service down. I also have family members that use this place but I am certain they won't now after hearing how they apparently have issues with answering their phone in a polite and timely manner. Reading elsewhere it seems this has been a common and recurring theme with this place. The bad reviews they have on Facebook are mostly due to this exact same issue. It would seem that if that were a common issue with my business, that I would be on it and fix it immediately. Your phone etiquette and how you handle yourself verbally can tell a customer a lot about your business and what their phone etiquette told me was "Don't waste your time and money on rude, "salesmen" at this place." Horrible. I will never purchase a part from this place again, I don't care if they are practically giving it away for pennies on the dollar.

EXTREMELY RUDE customer service at the desk. I bought the wrong part. Then I called about trying to exchange it. I was put on hold and hung up on. I give up trying to exchange the part. Then I show up and try to get another one, the correct part I need. The fat bald guy at the desk was extremely rude and uncaring that I was even there. Never once initiated any contact, no eye contact. Then I finally made my plea of what I needed and tried to explain to him that different year models would work.. He would have nothing of it. I could see him getting mad. So I just left. This might be because he was still waiting on the large fountain Diet Coke that he called to have someone bring him. I will never step foot at Lamar Auto Salvage ever again and I'll speak of this rude experience until I die and tell everyone I can. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. Any other business in the world, that person would be held accountable for treating customers like that.

They do not ANSWER the phone called 3 times, the machine said next in line 3 mins someone will be with you, phone rang for 20 mins still no one PICKED up the phone - called 3 times I have been on the phone for 1 hour 10 mins. trying to ask about a part that I could NOT find online. Went there on a Monday to get a driver side mirror (a white one) for my truck, paid an outrageous price of $267 up front cause they said they had to pull it and to pick it up the next day. They called the next day and said they went to pull the mirror and it was gone but they could order one and it would be there Thursday, I asked if it was a white one and they said yes. So I waited till Thursday and I drove all the way back up there to pick up a red mirror, so I got a refund and decided to never do business there again. I'll go to Barry's and do it myself from now on. They are also very rude and will act like you're not even standing there waiting.

I was looking for a part and they told me that I would have to come in personally. Then I got hung up on. I drove there personally and they had the part I needed, but they were gonna charge me about the same price as I could get a new one for. Needless to say, I will shop elsewhere.

Bought 3 windows Friday morning for a chevy tahoe and get home to put them in and 2 of the windows wasn't the right size. I will be bringing them back and I want a refund because I found some that's cheaper than Lamar auto. Bad service

I went to Lamar Savage and I am extremely upset. I waited almost for an hour for service and when I tried to return some items, the front desk guy had the nastiest attitude instead of just simply explaining the policy. No one explained the warranty. Please consider all of your options before going. I am not happy.

Headed from VA to my sister's in SD for thanksgiving...broke down in TN...Mercedes Benz in Knoxville refused to work on my mercedes, since MB didn't have all the parts needed & they are 'too good' to install an outside vendor's (guaranteed) parts!...i offered to sign a waiver for the outside parts, but they refused...so had car hauled to an independent shop...got a room & spent thanksgiving, not with family, but in motel room by myself...shop started work on my car 5 days later, monday...on Wednesday they finally called & said i needed a new engine head...i went online & found closest head was just one state away in MS...i was elated...i thought 'in a day or two head will arrive & i can finally get back on the road to my sister's'...i called lamar immediately to verify that web info was correct...was told that, yes, the head was still available...problem is, they said i couldn't pay with my credit card (which is exactly how i buy thousands & thousands of dollars of products online & on the phone all the time)...they said some guy had burned them with a bad credit card...i offered to give them my debit card instead, which would have given them their lousy $400 instantaneously, but they didn't seem to grasp the difference between credit & debit...they required me to fax them a credit card release form, front & back of my driver's license, front & back of my credit card, what size underwear i wear (not quite)...a simple phone call to Chase Bank would have solved the entire credit card issue, but they didn't do that...finally got all the payment details taken care of...asked them to please please get this head pulled (30 to 40 minute job at most) & shipped out before end of day...this was wednesday...didn't have a confirmation email by thursday afternoon, so i called them back...they said "didn't get shipped yesterday (wed) but will ship out tonite"...bummer, as thursday ship means monday arrival, not friday...now i sit in motel another three days, just because they are so slow & give such poor customer service...by friday afternoon still had no order confirmation or tracking number...called lamar yet again..."well, your head might get shipped out tonite"...sure enough, ups records show it never left their junky junk yard till after 6:00 pm friday!!!...not wednesday, not thursday, but friday!!!...now we're looking at tuesday arrival & an additional four days of motel & meal expenses...years ago i was in the surgical instrument business...henry ford hospital in detroit called in an order around noon one day...said they needed certain instruments for 7:00 surgery the next morning...ups said 10:00 was the best they could do...so i personally drove three full hours from grand rapids to detroit & hand delivered their order at 5:00 that same day...spent six hours on the road round trip...furthermore, i did not charge henry ford one penny for this extremely good customer service...it's called 'taking care of the customer'...it's no wonder people in other parts of the country talk about the backwardness of the deep south...unfortunately it is a well deserved reputation...how sad

Piss poor customer service. I called and spoke with someone a day prior to picking up my parts, and he assured me that it was going to be a quick less than 10 minutes pick up. They did NOT have my part ready, it was NOT as depicted, and I sat for an HOUR waiting patiently, only to be shown where the pulled part (a full sized truck door)was, and had to load it myself! I was on a time crunch, and these folks blatantly don't care about the end user, just those dollar bills. I will NEVER AGAIN use L.A.S. for anything, and will definitely share my experience with anyone looking for used auto parts.

I bought a car from them about 16 months ago. First of all, It was my first time shopping for cars so I was unexperienced in what type of things to watch out for. Well not only did they sell me the car at the value of a GOOD car ( because it was salvaged), but they also PROMISED that they had replaced everything with brand new parts. Which I should have known better, THEY LIED! They day after I bought it, I had to replace a part, 16 months later on a 2010 vehicle i'm having to replace parts that no one with a 5 year old car should have to worry about. Now i'm having to put over $1000 in parts to replace my catalytic converter and another O2 sensor. I never write reviews, but this is just to warn people about this place. Don't trust them! & don't let them do your diagnostic test because they lie! ALSO incase you don't know NO ONE should sell you a SALVAGE CAR for the price value of a good car because it is SALVAGE meaning the value of the car drops dramatically, EVEN IF THEY CLAIM TO HAVE NEW PARTS! This is just a warning to those considering this place.

I call this place a day ahead of time to see if they had a particular part in stock and they said yes so the next day before I even had their way which is a hour and a half drive I called again and gave them the stock number and they said yes it is in stock when I make it down there the guy send someone to the back to pull the part but when the guy comes back up to the front desk he informs me that the part been sold months ago ..... a waste of time
