I have always had a good experience at NRI. I would suggest a digital pricing sign that could be updated easily daily in plain view for customers. Also if closed on a holiday weekend say so on website. It said open on 5/27/17. I got there and found out they were closed. It was kind of a bummer and messed up my plans for the day.

Murky price info...should have a better way of capturing weight, etc. Things seem arbitrarily derived. Rushed. Where else can you go? Would like to see more proof they are turning down obviously stolen items like Cat converters and brand new copper... Their paying for these things just encourages more theft.

This place is a joke. You show up at 11 am on saturday and they say they are closed. Last i read it says closes at noon. Thanks for the waste of time now let alone having 2000 plus pounds of scrap sitting on my trailer

Service was quick. I was in, unloaded, and paid within 15 minutes. But it seemed my load got smaller between the car and the scale and then again between the scale and the cashier. I wish I had "audited" what was written down on that little slip of paper!

I called ahead to confirm scrap pricing. When an employee went to drop material off less than 1/2 hour later, the price was much lower. There was no reason given, nor was there any getting it back to what the quote was. Since we had already driven that far, I couldn't leave without it costing much more in wages to send the employee to another recycling center. I think they know this and deliberately mis-lead (or lie, if you prefer), and I doubt I will ever go back. My life is too short to be lied to like that, and it is no use getting worked up. Simply moving my business elsewhere and letting others know about this issue is sufficient.

been here a few times its just like any scrap yard sort your stuff and make sure its not contaminated (ie remove steel screws from aluminum or you wont get much for it at all but its like that everywhere prices are fair on cats and most metals never sold gold or silver to them and if i were gonna I would call multiple places first to make sure i get the best price! once you pull in flag someone down I usually don't even have to get out of the car just holler and throw my hand in the air they tell you where to pull up and unload and give you a slip you bring it to the little building and get cut a check easy as it gets

I can only speak for myself. First time there. Couldn't have gone any smoother. Called ahead. The lady quoted me a fair price on the phone. I showed up a few hours later. Price was what she had quoted me earlier. The two guys that helped me were friendly and efficient. When I went to the office to get paid, it was quick and the lady was knowledgeable, sweet and professional. Ill continue to go back there. I see lots of reviews with lots of complaints. Ask questions people. Also, mistakes happen. To call mistakes "tricks" is slanderous. Anyway, if you've never been here and aren't sure if the place is decent or not, id say take your business there. GREAT service!

I stepped out of my vehicle and stated it was my first time so not sure what to do. Guy told me to back up to a blue bin to unload and he would come help me, which he did. Had over 200 lbs of metal and walked away with $10.54. found out afterwards that if not separated you'll get paid less....$.03 a pound is what I got plus some aluminum at $.08 a pound. separate BEFORE you get there. Advice I wish they shared with me before cashing me out. And their rules for separating are a bit detailed. They have a cheat sheet...which I got while getting cashed out not before. People were nice there but I wish they were more upfront with the prices.

Did some questionable driving in risky conditions. Showed up 10 min before 5pm (Their "closing time") and they were already getting in their cars going home. If the business hours say open till ~ it should be open. Just Lost a customer.

You must PAY ATTENTION if you sell your scrap here. Make sure your metals are properly sorted before you arrive. Also, make sure that what they write down on the yellow slip matches with what you get on the check they write you. In my last trip, the worker recorded that I had 20 lbs of Number 1 Copper, but the cashier wrote Number 2 Copper, which is worth less per pound. When I called this to their attention, the cashier fixed the error, but only gave me $3.10 per pound, even though they had quoted $3.20 over the phone earlier that day. The cashier also got my address wrong. Watch out for tricks disguised as mistakes!

Had a great experience there. I was wondering where to go when i got there. A nice guy came right up to me to ask if i needed help when he was cleary busy with something else. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Took some extra time since this was the first time i went. The gal that checked me out was so friendly and very nice.

Born and raised in town made a trip this Saturday morning to sell scrap copper wire and never have I felt more cheated and basically stolen from by a local company!!! I've been a self employed low voltage electrician for 10+ years now and can certainly tell you there's a huge Recovery rate difference between cat5e/cat6 communication cable which is what they paid me for then 18-6 gage with 6 conductor's and 16/2 fire rated solid core which was what he attempted to say MIXed in Spanish. Anyone who knows their business and doesn't cheat their customers can understand that one single 40 gallon garbage can cannot hold 165 pounds of comm.cable that would easily fill a 2yard box!!! When current prices are not disclosed for obvious reasons I now know why maybe your employees can take one minute to discuss what's being sold rather than racing off to the bins and dumping in none of the comm.bins They have lost my business until I hear they change their procedures I'll drive out of my way down to k and k in mpls just for principal!!! The place says they close at 5, but we arrived at 4:50 and they were already closing up. They wouldn't help us and the other 3 people that showed up. This place should say they close 10 minutes early if that's when they are going to be leaving.
