REVIEWS OF J.R.'S Advanced Recyclers IN Minnesota

Nick Watercott

Friendly staff, quick service. A little confusing the first time but I will be back with my cans again!

troy bixby

I'm just here to find a place for my scrap steel, and I have got to say that this is the most blatant example of review trolling I've seen by a company ever. You don't even mask it with differing views. You're either the greatest people on the face of the Earth, or you're garbage. Hilarious, I'll find somewhere else or bury it...

Quinn Anderson

Very friendly staff, all were very helpful 5/5

Bobby Hissam

Always bring my scrap here, quick and easy and fair!

Jerry Keppers

Always had good luck and friendly staff!

J&J sgamsew

Fast freindly service overall they give just about the best prices around brought some wire in an my next visit they told me I was paid the wrong price and ended up. Getting extra cash so very fair honest group thank you Jr's advanced

Christopher Vieths

Great location, easy to get to, no hassles, and paid on the spot. This is the only scrapyard I'll use.

Mr Save A Buck

I called before I came to this place, because I had never been. I asked if they took washer and how much it would be to take batteries. I was told that they would pay me for both my washer and batteries. I got there and was extremely confused, I weighed and was so confused where I was suppose to go from there. I saw a employee and I told him that I had a washer and where was I suppose to go. He directed me around the corner. I watched everyone back up so that's what I thought that I was suppose to do, I was shooed out of the way. So, at this time I saw another employee and asked him, he directed me back where I came from. My washer was taken, I was not paid for it or my batteries ( I was told that they couldn't take my batteries). The same employee that shooed me out of the way was very rude and unprofessional. He asked me if I had been helped and I said yes. He said good because I wasn't about to help, because I do that s*** all day. I must say for a first time customer, this was not by far a great experience. It's very intimidating and confusing if you have never done this before or been here before.

First time going, went to the 8090 Address listed in their site. Then when I arrived they said I was at the wrong place, and showed me a map that was 7.5mi East. So I drive and show up, asked an employee where to drop off. They directed me, they helped pull out 4 55Gal bags of Aluminum Cans, Desktop cases, Power supplys, Motherboards and other things. I was only expecting to get $25 for it all, but I got $150. Very good place to sell! Most of the check was for 9 motherboards which gave me $44. Definitely recommend for your scraps to get money back.

Always receive excellent customer service, from helping with unloading and sorting, to friendly, fair and quick payment. Parking may be a little tight during peak hours but the yard is organized and clean. I never have to worry about running over debris and getting a flat as is the case at many other scrap yards.

Kirk Anderson

Made three trips yesterday and two today. Fast and easy. It's a scrap yard don't expect hot towels or a neck rub but if you want cash for scrap this is the way you do it

Saidchka

$7 for 230lbs (including copper). They told me to check everything with a magnet then unload the car full at 2 different spots at yard. The guy was rude and after all that only gave 7 bucks for the entire load. Save your gas, they wont even pay you that.

Kyle Tokheim

Best scrap yard around

Max Larson

Friendly staff, quick and efficient, good location easy to get to with some of the better prices, haven't gone to anyplace else!

Janel Schwarz

Great place! Wish they had longer hours on Saturday

Michael Lee

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCUMBAGS!! You have been warned. These scrap donkeys will try to screw you when you get there, no matter what they tell you on the phone. They had the worst reviews but paid the highest by a few cents. I thought i would try my luck.. ha! Should have listened to the reviews. Wasted trip as i went somewhere else. Had to give one star... they deserve -5

Reg Pavlak

Treated fairly, gentleman helped me unload and separate my many different kinds of aluminum and wire. Highly recommend J.R.s

Magdalena Hobbs

First time here, the crew was very friendly especially for a scrapyard, they're prices for recycling medals are extremely fair, I will definitely be back. Thanks JRs!

Steven Errante

Excellent experience each time, no matter the amount of scrap material. My first visit there, the owner and staff took their time to explain the entire process. My next several visits were a breeze. Very fair payout ( even gave me money for old chain link fence, other yards would just let you drop it off) and had my check immediately.

Aaron Jongbloedt

I like that they are open Saturdays, they accept a very large variety of stuff including electronics, the guys inside the building are nice and helpful.

Ryan Sunny

Been dropping off car bodies here for many years, have always had a good experience. Their website is great too, Not sure on the other negative reviews, maybe it was a bad day for one or both, but coming from bad experiences at other scrap yards, I'll keep coming back to JRs.

Cire Nivac

Been coming here for years. Always seem to get top price for metals. They also take E-Scrap!! They pay very fair for e-scrap. They will also accept a little less than 500lbs of shred when i bring in some non-ferrous with it, unlike northern. Never a long line, and sometimes they even have donuts and soda on customer appreciation days.. Best place in the metro hands down to take scrap metal.

Derek Werner

Great place to go very friendly people makes things really fast and easy. I have been there multiple times and will keep going back.

Shelly Nelson

Easy in and out, friendly workers, great place!

Justin Wrisky

Best place around if you have something to recycle. Great people and fair prices cannot go wrong.

Annemarie Diaz

Mike with JRs was so helpful and courteous and professional. They dropped off on time, picked up on time, and we even made a little money. I highly recommend them!

josh freiermuth

I've been bringing scrap metal here for several years now and overall have had good relations with the employees. I'll be there again today for 2nd time

jesse wellman

Great guys to work with!!!

Emily Osiecki

Staff at desk was rude. I arrived 10 minutes late because of bad traffic and staff would not explain why they couldn't make an exception to take my vacuum. Will not return and will discourage others from giving this place business.

just leave

friendly staff easy offload clean maintained driveway and dump spot good returns on your salvage a+++

Mc da shiznit

Great staff .great business.

Patrick Marrone

Great friendly staff very competitive prices makes you feel like home they care about the small guy

Kevin Bloomquist

I don't understand the negative reviews of this place, as I couldn't have asked for a better experience here. Having never been here before, the staff was very helpful and accommodating to a clueless newbie. I brought in a trailer full of scrap, and not only did the staff direct me to the proper dropoff location, they immediately unloaded everything (including 2 engine blocks) right on the spot. The payout process was easy-peasy, and I was taken aback by the lack of bulletproof glass (unlike other scrapyards I've been to in the past.) The entire staff was courteous and professional, from the guys unloading my trailer, to the guys in the front office. Overall, it was a great experience. The next time I amass a trailerfull of scrap metal, I will definitely return.

Rick Besk

John Mason

Looked them up, called and had an easy, informing discussion about my scrap. Made arrangements for pick up and done. Nice!

Mike Malachesen

Great people Great prices Better than most

Ronny Ziesmer

I have been bringing cars to scrap yards for years with that being said I tried this place because it was closer. I get there only to be yelled at by a chubby fella about where to park. He then proceeds to get nasty with me about how I didn't pull the gas tank out and that it could blow up. I have never had to remove a gas take before and I have seen my cars get crushed immediately after being picked up off my dolly. I have no problem complying with new rules but don't treat me like a retard for not knowing. Then he acts like I'm stupid for not wanting to back up my car dolly with a car on it. WOW and he thinks I'm stupid. If I was treated with respect I would have went home and removed the tank and brought it back the next day. Because of the way I was treated I will not do business with these people in the future.

BEWARE OF SELLING CAT CONVERTERS I usually go here when I have circuit boards and have had good experiences with them, but whenever I bring a catalytic converter there, they have tried to rip me off. They only offered $2 for an OEM cat off of a newer Buick, claiming it was aftermarket and only $20 for one off of an older Chevy 1 ton. I brought it somewhere else for $50.

elss1984

Guy in the front office was really rude. Won't be going there again.

Josh L

been going here for 7 years. there are 5+ yards closer than them to me but i always go to jrs. if you know how to process scrap they have the broadest range of categories around. sometimes i bring 15 diff types of scrap. know what youre selling and you cant go wrong...

Robert Mapplebeck

Honest, Helpful & Friendly... From making sure I know where what metals I have need to go in the yard, Joe teaching me what different types of circuit boards are and helping me properly sort and classifying the multitude of different types of circuit boards if I sorted them wrong. The Guys in the Office processing everything and walking away with a Check. I've been coming to JR's for about the last 5 years and wouldn't think about going anywhere else. Thanks for making every part of E Scrap recycling a Real Pleasure Guys..

Andrew Matz

Great place to do business. Friendly and helpful employees

MARK FEDDERLY

These guys are friendly and have great service at the yard. The prices are really competitive. Recomend using them for buying all your scrap metal. Love the punch card loyalty program!! Thanks JR's

The Jr staff is always very nice and helpful! A hell of a lot better than the competition that is by the river

Jeff Raykhfeld

Be carful. People there are cheaters. Prices over the phone and in person are different. And they will tell you about it when everything is unloaded.

jim ferraro

in the recycling business its good to work with true professionals

Julie Young-Garayt

Very helpful with my metal odds and ends to scrap even though they are a big operation I was treated nicely by all.

Paradox Cleaning

WORST group of people ive EVER spoken with. True junk yard dog attitudes...their doing YOU a favor type. Tried figuring out why a part i had in my hand didnt match what they said the appliance model called for and they told me if i didnt like it call the manufacturer and they hung up on me....called back and tried speaking with someone who claimed to be the owner and he told me to go buy my parts somewhere else without even hearing what i was looking for and then HE hung up..DONT waste your time here!

Kathleen Brogan

Dropped off ballasts for a relative whose garage we were helping clean out. Joe and his co-worker were quick, efficient and oh so kind. As was the woman who processed my payment in the office. A great experience from start to finish. Another small family business I am delighted to review.
