Super low prices on aluminum. Not worth the drive for $0.08 per pound. Two cents per pound on steel. They take advantage of people's good deeds by giving nothing out. I should have gotten at least $10-15 and I got 1.42 for recycling a bicycle. Better is to dump it and let them sort it out at the waste handling plants like they already do.

I've used Express about a half dozen times so far. I was impressed. They are helpful and friendly unlike the old style places. Always quick and fair. They've even separated stuff that I had mixed together to give me a better price.

Check weight at home and then used the east inside scale at express it is off shows 2lb lighter - not good if your bring in precious metals. other then that it a great place for scrap/tin.

I brought a 50 gallon gas water heater to Express Metals; there website says they pay $8.00 for an average water heater. I was paid $7.00; if the price changed they should update their website. When I asked about what I was being paid he was rude and said that's all it's worth. I said I was just going by your website and what you’re advertising.

Worked great for me. I just wanted to get rid of the old grill. They took, weighed it and gave me 4$ bucks for their trouble. A lot easier than Hennepin county (who in all fairness have a really hard job of managing what people try to throw away and bring into Hazardous Waste.)

These guys are crooks. I brought some sinks in there and they gave me steel prices because there was a little piece of steel on it. They never told me about it and were rude when I asked about it. Don’t get ripped off by these guys, go somewhere else.

They screwed me over big time I had 10 pounds of #1 copper, 6 pounds of stainless, 5 pound of brass and 40 pounds of cast aluminum. They gave me my receipt and every item on it was 2 pounds or less i'm glad I didn't bring my trailer with a bigger load. I should have realized that the guy weighing my stuff asked me to stand away from eye shot of the screen so I couldn't see the weight totals.

Staff looks pretty friendly and professional but the scale is HIGLY inaccurate, I brought in 35+ pounds of steel (the tow hitch alone was 11KG, that's 24 pounds!) and only got paid for 9 pounds, very disappointed for wasting my time and gas driving there.

Liers we brought in 700pounds of steel they lied about the weight and only gave me 17.00 I should have thrown it away a waste of time. Go to any other metal plant if u want fair prices

Been to a lot of scrap yards. Have not been to another one since I started coming here. Everybody is willing to help and they treat you fairly. I am a pipefitter so needless to say I get a lot of good stuff, I always make sure to kick a little back to the employees that help me out. I can't imagine this is an easy job for these guys, Scrappers can be rather unfriendly in my experience. Thanks guys for all you do and always making it easy to make a little extra money. It's also nice to know I can leave my heat in the truck when I go to the scrap yard as opposed to some other ones if you catch my drift.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, and every trip I make is a good experience. They can and do offer a lot of assistance to customers whether you are there weekly or a first time visitor. There are flat carts for loading when you pull in to park, and it's easy to find or wave to an employee if you need a bin. Sort your metals as much as you can/know how to get the best payout, price sheets and magnets are available inside to help you in sorting. I am skeptical of negative reviews saying they were ripped off; the scales here are not like your bathroom scale, and a return customer is more valuable than one pound of copper! To summarize, it's a fun and positive experience, and I refer folks here because I am confident they will have the same to say.

i brought in stainless medical table, they test with grinding wheel if it sparks its payed at penny pound iron rate, it was not magnetic. any other scrap yard would pay for the nickel in it. hundreds of dollars lost. i had to sell cause difficult to load into vehicle, and was running late to another appointment. Other concern i sold aluminum boat, stripped down to tiny bit of foam. they would only give me breakage pennys on dollar since it wasn't clean perfectly(this is after i spent 3 days with whole family gutting boat out). i got $40 when it should have been few hundred$. again running late.his response was to have fire in boat first before bringing in. i still do business, just not as much. been screwed with too many times. i think high dollar metals better to go downtown.i still will patron the place, with occasional piles just cause they are close by .. one block around corner.
