I have had my fiancee call an was offered 400$ for a vehicle, even though I had called and have the same day with the same information yet was offered 130$. They have done the same thing to me, my mother and my sister in law. I will not go to lkq, their employees are sexist and rude. Also their automated system says they buy cars 7 days a week, yet we wasted our time only for them to tell us they do not purchase vehicle on sunday. I'm tired of being taken advantage of, I'll take my business elsewhere

If you need a car part, do not waste your time here. The people here are extremely unhelpful and honestly seem to not care whether you get your part or not. They wouldn't even tell me if my vehicle was in there a lot. They told me that's not their responsibility. I ended up paying to go out into the yard to find only the one type of car like mine, which wasn't the problem but the car had already been picked over so bad (like all the other cars there) that there was nothing left. I then came in to ask about wheels for my car. It took three people to give me a price for the wheels that did not match the website. They wanted $100 more than the website said for basic stock wheels. When I asked him why he just told me well that's the price. Obviously I won't go there again.

Why is the age minimum so high???? No where on your website did it mention a 16 yr old minimum.... i just drove for an hour to take my 10yr son out to have some quality time and educate him on how things work.... but instead he is very disappointed, and i cant get the parts i needed.... so much for a family oriented company....

Sat on hold for 25 mins (not exaggerating) after the rep transferred me to the "correct" yard in Wayland, but finally when someone picked up they were in Holland. She couldn't help me and was extremely rude. She said she could give me their number, but I told her I wouldn't do business with their company. Terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

LKQ is a nation wide salvage yard, with all cars posted on the website. If you've ever been to other scrap yards you will find that LKQ is: Better organized, more professional than most, has up front pricing, and prices are not negotiable. The people leaving bad reviews don't understand how salvage yards work, and if they did they would be thankful for a place as well run as the GR LKQ. Think about it, you don't become a national chain without doing something right.

Went their for first time in a while what a unfriendly dirty environment. The office when u walk in has stuff all over very dim lighting and really unprofessional guys at counter. Then went out back and wow looks like a bomb went off stuff everywhere could not hardly walk down isle to look for what I wanted. For a big corporate place like Lkq what a trash whole will not go back unless it’s cleaned up wanna talk about huge safety concerns go walk out back once. Have to give it to weller pick a part they r top notch compared to this place.

They have no idea what parts they have. There is no inventory of parts left. They will happily charge you to go look though. They barely can tell you what vehicles they have. If you ask them if you might find something like you're looking for, they respond with a smirk and an "I don't care, I just work here". To avoid such a waste of time, I just bought cheap new parts somewhere else from any other company that has an inventory.

Ok. Let me clear the air with all the conflicting reviews and try to respond to some of the dumb comments from the people giving this place 1 star. As far as prices go. Everything is flat rate cost. That means that every mirror in the yard is the same price regardless of whether it was removed from a cavalier or a corvette. There may be small price differences say if it is a manual mirror vs. a power mirror but all their prices are available online so you can know before you go. Don't get upset if you could have bought your mirror new online for cheaper. I doubt it would have been an OEM quality part and even if it was you still have to wait for it to get here (could be a long wait if it's coming from China). This yard is great when you need a hard to get part in a pinch. They have come through for me countless times. For everyone complaining about having to go out there to find out if they even have your car, that was only a problem years ago. Have you visited their website lately? They have pictures of every car in the yard and will tell you which row they are each set in. If you make an account you can even see 3 pictures of each car (front, back, and engine) to get an idea of any damage it may have had. The pictures don't guarantee that the parts will still be there when you get there as it is first come first serve but they do have a nice feature (again if you sign up for a free account) where you can tell them what kind of car you have and they will send you an email or text when one goes in the yard. Now that is awesome! If you are worried that your part won't be there when you go out and scour through their huge selection, well..... tough. I guess don't go. The $3 admission fee is negligible and if you want to gripe about it then you've got more time than the rest of us. If you need a part for a newer model vehicle (more specifically body parts) they can usually order them aftermarket for you and you get a pretty good deal on them. To the person who complained that they won't buy cars on Sunday that is only because it is a township ordinance that doesn't allow them to purchase vehicles on Sunday so your problem is really with the township not LKQ. The customer service may leave a little to be desired but it's not like their doing your taxes and you have to sit with them for hours. They are very happy to give me an interchange (tells you what vehicles and years will have the part you are looking for) and since I never have to complain about prices (having already looked them up (see above)), we seem to get along just fine. Now after having spent a long day hard at work I'm going to go crack a beer and toast the people who are go-getters enough to take advantage of a place like LKQ. Now put on your big boy pants, pull on some boots, grab your tools, pull your part, and fix your car. Sheesh.

I don't know what's up with this place. I called on 7/8 and they said they would come pick up my vehicle on 7/9 from 9am-5pm. I made sure I was home all day waiting. They never showed up. They never called. I called them on Friday and rescheduled for Monday. I made sure to call early on Monday to explain my situation that I need that truck gone because I'm roofing my house, and I need to get a dumpster in the drive way so I need the truck towed out because it will not start. They assured me I was on the list to have my truck taken between 9-5. Once again, no call/no show. Thanks for wasting my time/money for my TWO ENTIRE DAYS I took off work, LKQ!

Staff all seem to be hoodrats and parts aren't ever as cheap as you would expect them to be. That being said, they do have a huge selection and you can get a good deal but just keep an eye out for yourself.

My very first encounter was over the phone. I had to slow the conversation down with the person taking my call. It was a young lady who tried to rush me off the phone, and seemed almost frustrated that i was asking questions; even after i told her it was my first time engaging LKQ. When I got off the phone, i was more confused than when i started. My son and i drove 20 minutes to check the place out. When i walked in, there were two guys at the front desk area. I had to engage them for help. We were not even acknowledged when we walked in. One of the guys didn't even look up. He was staring at his screen. The guy who did talk to us never smiled and seemed like it was a task to answer some basic questions. We were charged an admission fee with the blind hope of finding the parts we were looking for. When i entered the yard, the vehicles are all in a row (nice), but trashed. The worst part was the customer service. As i reentered the front office from the yard, the guys just looked at me as i walked out the front door; almost as if i was trespassing... after i paid. They said nothing...not "have a good day," or bye...nothing! What a bad and terrible experience.

Website says they close at 6pm, we rushed to get there made it with 45min to spare only to be told with an attitude we where closed and to come back at 9am. The commercials say yard entrance is $2, but this location charges $3 and if you say anything regardless of what it is it is always met with an attitude. Better off going to weller...

People complaining about the Service Have you went to some of the Other U Pick it lots? These guys are friendly and Busy so no they wont sit around and talk unless they have time.I have been there several times and have been treated fairly .I bought a Part and it did not work right so they allowed me to re enter the Lot to look to exchange the part free.Had the same Issue at Wellers and they Charged me to go back on the lot to look for a replacement part.

The worst salvage yard I've ever been to. I went there to get a driver side mirror for my 97 Chevy blazer and after 20 mins of looking finally found one. I tore the door apart got the mirror and went to check out and they said $25.00 for it. I told the guy or whatever it was acting like it worked there, I can buy a brand new one online for $18.95. It said go do it then, I said I'd rather buy a new one if I have to pay full price for a part that is 19 years old. He got a attitude with me and my wife like I didn't know what I was talking about. So for one mirror it would cost $3.00 each person and you have to find the part, eventually when you do you have to tear it apart and then pay another $25.00 for it. So they wanted $31.00 for it when it's only $18.95 brand new. Never go there again waste of time!

Found what I needed at a good price, but it's messy - tons of parts scattered in between the rows of cars. Not LKQ' s fault that the customers do it, but having someone pick up the junk laying around would go a long way. Finding the exact location of the specific car you're after on the app is a great feature.

I have no complaints. $3 entry fee is reasonable, prices are reasonable, lot is large with a variety of vehicles. The guys are laid back. Just wear boots when you go if it has rained recently. Don't walk in with the expectation of them having what you're looking for or you may walk out disappointed. Nearly every time I'm there I find something I forgot I needed - even if I walk out without what I was there for in the first place.

My go to spot for finding parts for my car. Good variety of vehicles. The cross reference feature that has been recently added has helped. Only reason the score isn't higher is because I have an impossibly high standard of customer service. Having one cashier on the weeks busiest day is unacceptable. As well if you don't have an automotive service background as I do if your in need of good advice behind the desk depending on who's working may have a BIG influence on your experience. Overall good but a ways to go in order to be consistently great.

LKQ sold me $1800 engine for my Ranger and it arrived with bright orange spray paint all over the valve covers and everything supposed to have 57000 miles on it and they won't give me my money back and it was one week late for delivery engine that are supposed to have a 1 year or 12000 mile warranty and they won't give me my money back and they keep hanging up the phones the worst customer service I have ever seen and the manager Chris keeps saying he's put my money back into my account and I have not seen it it's been a couple of weeks now

I pay to get in to find nothing after being told it was in stock and walkinc out empty handed and wanting to check my tool bag.....charge repeat customers to accuse them of some petty thievery. And afyer driving in from Greenville loyally everytime a part was needed. No longer though that was the last time i set foot in there. Not the lkq of old that is for sure. The customer service used to be 2nd to none.
