Never take anything here or buy anything from this place. When it was Crazy Rays it was so much better. Was told 150 over the phone when I got there I was told 100. I ended up getting 80 bucks on a car that I drove there and runs fine.. NEVER AGAIN.. go somewhere else people.

Prices are very high compared to 10 years ago before LKQ bought them. Otherwise, the yard is well organized. The staff is nice and helpful if you treat them with respect and don't act like an @$$hole. Watch walking between cars and along the walls at the edge of the yard as people like to take craps in the yard. Make sure you lock your doors in the parking lot and be careful leaving the lot, i've seen accidents and hit & runs because you can't see past the food truck while pulling out on to erdman ave. If you see something interesting in the online inventory, go check it out ASAP, inventory is very fast moving and this joint gets a ton of traffic.

Bought a used battery, no charge to enter the yard, the batteries are near the check out window. They test the battery before you leave with it. Total was $36.00 and they knock off $10 if you bring your defective battery.

Lol $85 for a car that functions and works no wonder why this place is going out of business you people are a joke lmfao sad smfh

Simon Ortiz

It was a bad experience I didn't know at first they work with the prices but I ended up paying almost $300 dollars just for bended hood an old trunk lid and old head lights... those people honestly don't know how to keep coming customers.. because I never in my life gonna go back there... I just find out that 8 could get those parts cheaper and brand new... LKQ... personal or owner are just taking advantage...

Chris Kraft

They don't keep an inventory of the lot. I couldn't even finish my sentence asking the question before they jumped in with the response. Their only suggestion was I would have to come in. As with other reviewers, not knowing the make/model of the cars on the lot could mean you get lucky or waste a significant amount of time.

I was on hold for 7 minutes and when the girl finally answered, she said "we don't inventory parts here". Then asked for my zip, put me back on hold and hung up on me. Horrible customer service!!! This place will not be open long. Need to go back to being Crazy Ray's!

Davonte Waltonaldo

Since LKQ starting running the show, this place has gone down hill considerably. Lousy customer service and don't believe their own website! They will nickel and dime you (isn't low prices the point of a junkyard?) and they do not open at 8 like it says. You get here and they don't open the doors until 9! 9 o'clock on a saturday! Get it together!

Scheduled For My Car To Be Picked Up Today. And The Driver Would Not Take My Car Because I Made A Mistake And Told Him I Had A 2006 Nissan. And I Have A 2005 Nissan What Is The Difference. He Has To Do The Same Exact Job Which Is Take The Car. So I Was Told I Have To Reschedule. After I Drove 30mins To The Destination Because I No Longer Live At That Residence. Time And Gas Wasted For Nothing.

Tama Anderson

I wish I read the reviews before I wasted a whole day waiting for someone to come & pick up my old car. I called 5 times and were told someone would be here today by 5pm. I called at 5:00p and was told they are still coming. Its currently 6:25P and no one is here! I am disgusted with the level of customer service and truly disappointed that my whole day was wasted!

You need to know what your looking for and if skill is in your favor then your ahead of the game .There is help if your willing to pay the people who pull parts.

Heather Winesmith

Overheard a couple of the Caucasian staff members making racist comments while standing outside smoking cigarettes back to back. I went inside the junkyard to get my tire and when I came back out they were still smoking instead of assisting customers. Although there have been some improvements made within the junkyard itself, the overall quality of those staff members that I encountered outside was a little off putting and made me quite uncomfortable especially because I am the foster parent of an African American child and my son has to grow up in a world with people who are as ignorant as they are. They say that you shouldn’t judge people by their profession but those junk people with those junk minds belong in that junkyard.

Where do I begin...ok...Crazy Rays use to give 350-400$ for a complete vehicle, didn't even have to run. Anyways today I call them, and find out its LKQ now, I have a 2005 Buick LeSabre, that actually still runs and is In decent shape still, I just need to get rid of it...so I call to see what they're offering for cars...the lady told me...145$!?!?!?!? Ahaha...this place is a FN ripoff...do not sell them ANYTHING. I asked her, "is that a joke??, it must be a joke, 145????"

M W

They do not answer their phone. I have been trying to call for two weeks and they do not answer.

Nana Ossei-boateng

Rodney Jackson

Need a hood, rim or door? They’ve got it all and much much more. Need a part you can’t find, you’ll seize it here and don’t get behind!.

Jack Wadd

It's a JUNKYARD, people! Are you expecting tennis courts and a concierge?!? For a junkyard, they do a fine job. They do their best to prop up the cars for easy access. Cars are arranged by manufacturer, and they are constantly pulling out "old" stock and bringing in "new" stuff. They have wheelbarrows to borrow as you wander around. Yes, the staff is as ghetto as you can get, because they just can't keep doctors and lawyers on staff AT THE JUNKYARD. Pay yer dollar and quit-yer bitchin !

David Rutkowski

Agree with everyone else on here! Crazy Ray's has succeeded in amassing the biggest collection of the nastiest, rudest, unprofessional people in the world to work for them! If you want to go someplace and spend some money to interact with people with the personality of trash can this is the place for you! You could not possibly think of a better reason in the world to donate your old car to charity, then after a visit to crazy rays!

New management is terrible.Entire staff not rude just the new people that new management hired. New management is rude do not know the first thing about the business. Always accusing the staff of stealing but he is the one that is stealing and the ones he is close to. One of the former employees had pictures and dates of the vehicles that he stole he gets a slap on the wrist and he set an employee up no proof of her stealing but corporate fire her. The towing what ever her title is Amy so call supervisor sit in Jason face all day they literally get paid for nothing till this day he is still stealing .$1500 dollars was missing Amy was the one responsible for money another slap on the wrist. Corporate has been contacted on things he does they do not care about the employees and definitely the customers

When the company was sold everything went downhill , new management has jacked up all the prices and gives you basically nothing for cars. Scrap yards pay more for cars than they do by A LOT. Customer service is bad. Don't go here many other solid places in the city to go than this s hole.

Had my car and parts, beautiful day, what more coul a do-it-yourselfer want?? Someone to do the actual labor free of course but, that won't happen in this lifetime but, we could suggest they employ fulltime mechanicsand charge a little more at the door and half price labor for ANYTHING. Get it, half of the commercial labor cost for any and all work perfomed on our vehicles using LKQ pulled parts. If we ALL suggest it, they will make it happen!!! $ERIOU$LY!!!

Bruce Johnson

Sold a salvage car to Crazy Ray's last week and had a great experience. They paid a fair price, and were pleasant and friendly. Not sure about the negative reviews; it was a Saturday, they were super busy, but everyone treated me great. I was in and out in about 20 minutes.

Byron Nasir

The guy at the cashier station was knowledgeable and assisted me well above what i expected from a "junkyard" Similar with the other staff working the yard. I will definitely return and recommend this place.

George Wills Jr

The are ridiclously low in their prices since Crazy Ray's sold out.

Harvey Wiley

Bad service. Lots of parts. Its a junk yard what do you expect 4 star service !? read the signs get your stuff. GO Home. Fix your car and move on.

Rusty Brown

Nice place but ther websites are not up to date,, when it shows the car your looking for but you get there and its not there and the staff is Clueless

Ashley Lauren

This place is an absolute joke. Arranged for a vehicle to be picked up and gave me an 8-12 window, called them around 11 and they said that they'll be there. At 12:30 I called back and they said they need to reschedule due to 3 drivers calling out and when I asked why didn't they just tell me that when I called they just basically said not our problem sorry and they assured me that when I rescheduled it would definitely be picked up. So, today was the reschedule date and they once again did not show, I called 5 times, 2 of the times they said they were on their way, so I had to rush over to the house where the car is bc I don't reside there and never showed and when I called and asked what was going on the woman said that they actually were never on their way over. Just called and spoke to a manager who basically said tough luck and tried to get me to reschedule for another week from today. I told her that we need to get this vehicle out of here to avoid a fine from the county and still nothing. She didn't care at all. All employees were very rude and unwilling to assist me in anyway.

My favorite junkyard had a 40% off sale, so I went there with my shopping list and save a bunch of coins...... Big time too

Bruce Heddinger

Well below par. Was told that the 14 inch steel rim I needed would be sitting in a selection according to size/yr/make and model and already removed from the vehicle. Totally incorrect. Not reliable business at all. Would advise others not to do business with a below average, poorly run company.

They have reorganized the yard to make finding the car you need much easier. They also raised the prices. This is an issue for electrical components. You don't know if they are good until you install them. If they don't you are out of luck. Be careful !!

Bret Holland

Do not take your business to lkq pick your parts! !! Awful business! !!! I talked to like 10 people every time they told me to hold. So I took my business else where! !!! Screw you LKQ!

Samuel Mason

Friendly staff. The lot is well organized.

one of the worst places to go to i went Friday when they had 40% off and stilled payed regular price and when i asked about return policy no return policy no exchange no refund nt the lady at the check out desk was so rude to me and not even grateful she has a job i will never go here poorboys is more but there customer service is 100 times better

Herman Martin

Cars are not organized. You have to walk through all the aisle to see if they have your make and model. Would be nice if they put domestics made in one area and foreign made in another. Like how they separate trucks from the cars.

Patrick Betz

Great yard, well organized. Find a nice van to sit in and then you could just sit back and people watch all day, there are plenty of characters around!

William Cross

Good place find auto parts for a good price

Michael Kerins

They had just what I needed the price was right I was in an out quick thank you crazy rays.

Brian Pool

I'm looking for a part that is very hard to find. I hear through the grapevine that they have the car I am looking for. I call up there and explain that I would be coming a long ways to get this part and ask if they even have the car in stock. Lousy, lazy excuse for an employee cuts me off and tells me I'm going to have to come in and look for myself and nobody will tell me if they even have that car. I won't suggest them to anyone.

Michael Goldberg

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Crazy Ray's on Erdman Ave in Baltimore was supposed to pick up my vehicle between 8 and 5 today. I was told I would be called when they are 1/2 hour out. I called them at a little before 5 when I had not heard from anyone, and got no answer. Called the 800 number for LKQ and was told the truck had been dispatched and was on the way. Still nothing at a little before 6, so I called the 800 number again. This time I was told that the truck had broken down and would not be able to get my car today. They said that they could not even make me the first pickup in the morning, but rather that I would have to wait until Friday. It is unbelievable that I was never called at any point in this process AND that they won't make me the 1st pickup tomorrow. This is TERRIBLE customer service.

Diwani James

Harry Polehlitz

This is a junkyard. They don't keep an inventory which is good for people who are willing to put the extra elbow grease in and look for the part themselves. For everyone else who is too prissy to do the work yourself, the dealership counter will readily take your money.

Crazy Ray's is a hit or miss "old school" junk yard like the ones I grew up with in Jersey City. If you want to take a shot at finding what you need, Carzy Ray's is a viable choice. You can show up with your own tools, and if lucky, and I mean VERY lucky, find the car you're looking for and start pulling parts. BRING cash for the entry fee and they don't make change! Prices for the pulled parts are a roll of the dice. And expect a "pat down" when leaving their premises. The junk yard is HUGE so plan on spending a lot of time searching for the car you are looking for. Wear sturdy, comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't care about getting dirty. Some sort of travel cart is advised for schlepping your tools around and for whatever parts you make be lucky enough to find. Don't call to inquire about the availability of a part or certain car. It's chaos! You'll see when you get there. Or even better, Google Crazy Ray's and select the satellite feature and you'll see what I mean. Be advised that it's NOT the safest place to walk around either. I had to keep an eye on the Massive car-carrying fork lifts that are always on the move. I also had to squeeze between and around cars because the "isles" are not isles. Also make sure that it has not rained in a while before you visit; envision the La Brea Tar Pits. And bring water if it's going to be hot. However, if you're looking for a place that has a pleasant, helpful and courteous human-like staff. Then Crazy Ray's ain't the place for you. The "people" at the front desk with whom I've dealt with are worse than the stereotypical sadistic movie prison guard who's having a perpetually bad day with no one else but you to take every possible opportunity to abuse, ignore and ridicule like the "fresh meat" inmate's first day in prison. Don't expect to exchange civilized greetings. You're ALREADY supposed to know the contradictory and convoluted information posted on the intentionally inconspicuous "signs", that are gestured to in lieu of a response, but your are guaranteed to receive a beratement if you do have a question about the disinformation in the sign. In short, animals in a zoo are more civilized. With all the complaints, one would think that the management would make changes. But clearly the management does not care about what their patrons think. Like someone else posted, Crazy Ray's is a pull and pay junk yard. There's plenty of "junk" one can get from dealing with Crazy Ray's even if you don't find the parts you were looking for. Cheers!

Once upon a time, I got $400 for my 97 Saturn that was in great bodily shape inside and out. I blew a head gasket, but I still drove it to them. Now that the new owners took over, I had a 96 Escort LX that was in great shape inside and out, but another blown head gasket. This time they said $75 and I could still drive it. The city ended up taking it as I was trying to sell it and I have no regrets knowing LKQ could've made at lease $1500 just off the parts and body. As a regular customer over the last 30 years, I've found their price and parts great lifesavers. Never bought a bad part yet. But I would give my car to scrap dealers before I let them take me for a ride over my cars now.

Tyrone Brown.

They need to have a price list posted so that they don't have to make prices up as they b doing they know that's not the way to do business........... Those new owners b trying to get over..............

LJ's Unboxing

The part I needed was fairly easy to find and remove. And the people there are very friendly and helpful. It cost $2 to get in instead of $1 due to the rise in costs and the rim was $16.89 instead of the $15 I paid last time, but at least now I'll have a full size spare tire. No more donut for me.

A few times a year I would take a weekend day and travel over 2 hours to visit all the crazy rays yards. What drew me to Crazy Rays was the price list they all go by... good prices that I would know up front. However, the past two times I've taken my trip I've been charged far different prices for the exact same item at separate yards. The folks at the checkout counter will add bogus charges to get as much money out of you as possible. I buy a bumper at Jessup and its $43, the exact same bumper at Erdman is $65. Erdman charged me for bumper brackets that didn't exist. The woman would give no explanation, just saying thats the price she has to charge. Chrome steel wheels at Mount Airy were $14, at Edgewood the same wheels cost $22 because they charged me for hubcaps. Right on the receipt they listed hubcaps. I said I'd like to return the hubcaps then (it's a solid steel wheel) and the woman told me they have to charge that price because the steel is shiny and has holes in it. I'm not an idiot. I know automotive parts very well. I can clearly see when I'm being taken advantage of. If I don't know what I'm going to be charged when I get to the checkout counter then there's no point in me traveling to Crazy Rays. I'll be sticking to the junkyards closer to home from now on.
