Bought used transmission. They pulled the wrong one. Finally got the right one from them, and it doesn't shift into reverse. Now their phone line is busy for over an hour. Giving up on these people.

Great people, service, and availability of parts. They pull the parts and bring them to you, as opposed to their chief competitor, who grunts and points to a vehicle in their snake-infested yard and sends you to get your own parts.

After I drove 2 hours to get to this place to pick up a rim to replace one that flew off my car, I was told they closed 20 minutes early. When we told them as they were still working that we had just driven 2 hours to get this 1 rim, we were told oh well to bad it is hot and the owner wanted to go home. He said to come back tomorrow. So he wants me to burn more gas to drive 2 more hours there and 2 more hours home. And not even offer a discount. All because he was working and so was about 5 others and they were all to lazy to get 1 rim for me after driving that distance for it and they closed early. The owner is so rude and clearly not a good business man or he would not have been that rude to paying customers. My husband has bought 3 motors from them in the past. All break in no time. The only reason I was going here was for a rim that can't be that messed up. It's a shame to treat people that way. I say spend your money elsewhere where your business is appreciated.

complete lack of knowledge of the automobile trade. i went threw and was gonna do a engine swap and every time i pointed to a motor and asked about it, it had '' less then 100k on it''. common sense tell me not every single motor is just getting broke in. and when i go to inspect it,( i'm a ase certified master technician) i can tell not a one of them had less then about 175k on it. you can tell where the oil had oxidized and slugged up against all the gears and timing chain and just so many other signs. a blatant lack of respect for the customer that you would lie just to make 2 extra bucks. when you could of told the truth and people might understand that its not a perfect engine. but when you say that its a perfect engine and its a hunk of junk. then you tend to get a bad rep. so i hope they lose all their business and someone else that's half way honest buys them out.

To make a long long long story short...they picked my car up Feb. 21 2014...installed transmission. .I went to Leesville to pick it up 2 weeks later...on my ride home to Shreveport the new transmission was not shifting right and then my engine started to knock...I gave them a call I was only about 12 miles away. .I had them put an engine in and check the tranny...late March I drove down to pick up my car..it was filthy. .oily and muddy inside and out... On my ride home my the tranny was still slipping. .I called and was told to bring it back tomorrow. .like I live 5 mins.away...finally I took it to Eds transmission shop and was told that it had slack in the drum...called Scooters then they sent a truck to pick my car up again...now they changed the motor and tranny and I might get it back tomorrow May 11th 2014...Ill definitely be seeking compensation for rental cars I have been renting since Feb. 21. I DEFINITELY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THEIR WORK!!! ONLY USE IT AS A SCRAP YARD. . .In the beginning I was also told 3 different prices by the different people I ended up spending about 3500.00 on the car alone....Dissatisfied 1 time customer. . Dont do it

They guy is stingy if you want to sell a car for scrap they definitely don't need it over there and will only give you 300 less the what it's worth. Also I've never seen such an over priced salvage yard...there making a killing over there. And everyone that was in there today was there for returns. Drive an hour to the next yard, it's worth it...

I called to see if they had body parts for my truck. The lady wrote down what I needed and asked if she could call me back a little later. About two hours later she called me back to let me know what she had. The only trouble I had was going by on a Saturday as they've recently started closing on Saturdays. Despite this, I had a wonderful experience as the prices were fair and they can pull the parts with advanced notice before you come by. Try finding that level of service at another salvage yard!

I wish I could give 0 stars as this is the worst junk yard I've ever had to deal with in my life! "Scooter" is the most unprofessional person I've ever seen. He told my brother $200 on a Sporttrack door, then when he went to pick it up, the price changed to $750. Several months later, my brother is in a bind for a transmission for his wife's rig and uses the truck for bartering. "Scooter" knows he's in a bind so tells him he'll do an even swap for the Sportrack. Trade value of tranny was $650 and had to deliver the truck, as well. When confronted about it, he threatens me, telling me he's going to punch me and throwing his finger in my face. REALLY??? Although I was not intimidated in the least (4 tours in Iraq makes me not scared of many things anymore), it was extremely unprofessional. Drive farther and go somewhere else!

Straight crappy place. Front desk doesn't know what's going on half the time.They do bad business, an service sucks. Motors aren't fully checked. Just stuck in a vehicle an given to the customer who in return will have to come back several times. If you don't care about being deceitful to a disabled person who is my father, then you are lower then low. When running a business Be HONEST, HAVE INTEGRITY!!!! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone not even for a light bulb. Your customers are supposed to be #1.

Do not I repeat do not let them work on you auto. Took my husband truck in for a transmission took 5 weeks to get it back. Then had to take it back due to a transmission leak took another 5 weeks. On way home transmission messed up would not pull almost had wreck took it back. They had it 3 weeks then did not call and tell it was ready. Now it is sitting in yard leaking again and they want us to bring it back to them so they can keep it another 5 plus weeks. The truck has been at scooters for transmission work almost as long as we have had it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR AUTO TO THEM FOR REPAIRS!

Went to get a couple parts for my truck. Went to pull the parts myself after walking around this junk yard is out right not safe and when i went to the front desk they did not have a price list. Had to wait for the owner. The owner wanted to charge full retail price for the parts liked they pulled them. This place doesnt care about the customers. They will try anything to rip you off. This is not a place to go. The other junk yards have way better customer service.

I went and bought a transmission and payéd another good mechanic to put it in. Well it was a bad transmission. When I called to tell them it was bad , they said someone would call me back. They did call me, only to insinuate it was not done properly. I had a transmission specialist look at it. He plugged it up to computer to check for problem with electronic parts. That was not the problem. 2nd gear is completely out. After contacting Scooters again, I was told someone would be contacting me again. Never happened. I am prepared to bring my truck to them and pay to have them exchange the transmission. $705 is a lot to pay for a used transmission in an older vehicle. You would think they would be better customer service. I am already out $470 for labor. I am still waiting for them to call. Hope I don't have to get a lawyer. DO THE RIGHT THING AND HONOR YOUR WARRANTY. IT WAS NOT MY FAULT YOU SOLD ME A BAD TRANSMISSION.
