Best place around for parts
Great people
Everyone is very helpful and nice one of the best yards in dsm area
Unreliable and rude service. Called to junk my old car and for a tow. Old man confirmed a mid afternoon pick up the next day. No one came and I never got a call why, which really sucks when you take the afternoon off from work to meet them. When I called them, the old man said they were busy and never apologized for breaking appointment. After a few more attempts to get a tow, I just gave up. I'm sure if I called a few more times, they'd realize that they're a salvage yard and may need to conduct business with people, but I don't have years to wait.
*Phone call Me: Hey, I was wondering if you had any 185/65 r15 wheels. Sales Rep: Yeah we might. You could come out and check. Me: Could you check for me please? Sales Rep: We don't go out and check. You could come out and look.
Largest salvage in the DSM area I think, and probably the oldest. They have it all! They don’t provide much help; barely noticed me walking past them and into the yard. But nice enough I suppose when I left, and very decent prices.
they are sooo disrespectful, they will hang up on you without even looking to see if they have the item, like who run a business like that ? No wonder there so many bad reviews on here
The man I talked to about buying my car for parts was rude and tried to give me lower price than was estimated to a family member the day before. Two days later and they still haven't picked up my car after being told they would come that same day. I found another salvage company that offered me $100 more than Yaws. I would not recommend selling your totaled car to this company.
Told me two different prices over the phone 25 the first time and then 35 the second time because I asked them to take it off for me. When I got there they asked me how much I was told I told them the higher amount of 35 because they were nice enough to take the wheel off for me . However they charged me like $4 more than that... I guess that's why they saying girls are supposed to take guys with them to the junkyard
Great prices. Even negotiations
Alot if good stuff in yard, be prepared to find it yourself.
They got it all
They go out of their way to help their customers
Poor customer service. If you need help to find something do not come here. I have been here a few times and no one has really been helpful at all. One time I needed a vehicle lifted up to take off a part no one really wanted to help me out. The guy sitting in the chair said well are there any others you can get the part off? Finally he got up and walked away with out saying anything. So I just followed him assuming he was going to help me. He did finally help me out. At a more recent visit I was looking for a fan for a radiator I start to walk in and four guys are at the front desk. No one says hello or what do you need help with. So I just keep walking, then about when I reach the door to the yard one guy speaks up and says "hay what are you looking for, you just done walk in" with an attitude like I did something wrong. I tell them what I am looking for and they say they don't have it. I did have a few other thing I was looking to get but decided to leave based on the customer service I received.
Helpful
Went there to look around for exhaust part and asked a few questions about their selection and everyone was very rude and unhelpful. They got pretty hostile and place was littered with beer cans and cigarettes which added to the scenery. Don't waste your time going here. Also i read some people had a racist experience and they weren't wrong. Extremely racist.
Easy to work with, accommodating
They have tons of different cars and trucks. They have always had exactly what I was looking for. Also the nicest people in the world. Prices very fair.
the place is a mess but great selection of car and trucks, owner is always there and if you talk to him, he will give you the best deal for your parts, bring your tools, is always cheaper if you take your own part. it was nice making bussines here...!!!
The owner isn't bad but his crew that sits up at front is rude as hell, if you ask owner for a price when you get to the front to pay they want to tack on 10-15$ to whatever the owner told you. The yard is very disorganized different brands and models scattered everywhere it's hard to even find what you're looking for and some areas appears to be dangerous to the point of avoiding the area all together reguadless of what you need.
Great work and cheap will be back thanks guys
Biggest junkyard I've been to. Nice guys and reasonable prices if you pull your own parts. Definitely wear boots. Don't be afraid to haggle if you know the price is too high. Ignore the people whining about them not going out and walking through thousands upon thousands of cars to find one little piece for you. That is NOT how junkyards work. Common, larger parts such as doors, hoods, batteries, and tailgates are usually kept up front and they can generally tell you if they have it. The reason why junkyards are so cheap for parts and so great is because of the fact that you GO FIND WHAT YOU NEED. Entitled brats that don't want to do any legwork need to go pay the premium for new OEM parts or cheap eBay parts that generally break in 6 months to a year.
I wouldn't go there again, for anything.
Stopped in here looking for a part. They didn't have it but the staff were friendly and showed me where too look. Would highly recommend
good place to find the replacement part you are looking for with a friendly bilingual staff and fair prices thank you yaws for my front end parts for my mustang
Great selection but staff are not to interactive.
If you know what you want, you will find it... Eventually lol
Excellent service, affordable parts
Dont go to this place. The people are rude there and the prices are same as New ones
Contracted Yaw's multiple times to set up a salvage tow away. Yaw's implied strongly that is was my fault that they never made it out. Don't was your time, call Ron's auto salvage instead. Would not recommend these guy's to anyone. Below you will find Yaw's auto making further attempts to excuse their poor business practices. Not a humble group.
They was extremely helpful when i had to get parts for my truck.
They were extremely helpful to me about what I went there for. In fact, they went beyond what I had expected.
Its a great place the people are friendly and you can pull your own parts
Great group of guys that work there
Ok
(Translated by Google) I went twice the first time since I arrived I was approached by an older person asking me with a strong voice that what I wanted was to explain that I was looking for a piece for my car, which I insisted was what I wanted that brand that model very rudely, I understand that they ask you that but not in that way, in the end approached another person who was more friendly and told me where to find the vehicles of the brand that unfortunately looked for that day closed early so I could only get certain pieces, when I returned the second time I could not even enter because I was approached by another person who was very rude by the way (even more so than the previous one) asking what I was looking for and saying that he was just told me he did not have it, I I told him that I had already gone and that he did not manage to take what I needed for the time, but he only told me no and did not want explanations, totally angry better I told my friend that we left, I did not want to be rude with the gentleman that is worth mentioning that he deserved it, another thing that I must say I am Latin and possibly the gentleman only speaks to me so to see me Latin (I only speculate since as I comment again I am Latin and my English is not perfect) (Original) Fui dos veces la primera vez desde que llegué me abordó una persona ya mayor preguntándome con voz fuerte que que era lo que quería yo le trababa de explicar que buscaba una pieza para mi coche a lo cual insistía que que era lo que quería que que marca que que modelo muy groseramente, yo entiendo que te pregunten eso pero no de esa forma, al final se acerco otra persona que fue más amable y me indicó donde encontrar los vehículos de la marca que buscaba desgraciadamente ese dia cerraban temprano por lo que solo pude obtener ciertas piezas, al volver la segunda vez ni siquiera pude entrar ya que me abordó otra persona ya mayor muy grosera por cierto (aún más que la anterior) preguntando que que buscaba y al decirle que era solo me dijo que no lo tenía, yo le comenté que ya había ido y que no alcanze a quitar lo que necesitaba por el tiempo, pero solo me dijo que no y no quiso explicaciones, total enojado mejor le dije a mi amigo que nos fuéramos no quise ser grosero con el señor que cabe mencionar que se lo merecía, otra cosa que debo decir esque soy latino y posiblemente el señor solo me hablo así por verme latino (solo especulo ya que como vuelvo a comentar soy latino y mi Inglés no es perfecto )
My experience surpassed what I thought it would have been!!! Will continue to go there for needed items!!!
It's an extensive salvage lot. Vehicles are mostly arranged by make. They had the wheels I needed and were helpful after I found them. Once I got the lug nuts loose, they came and lifted the vehicle while I took the wheels off. Be prepared to do the looking and the work.
Traveling home to Arkansas, I called ahead from Minnesota to verify if they had the right vehicle. Upon arriving 40 minutes before closing, I was told it was too close to closing to go on the yard. It would have taken just a few minutes to cut a few wires. VERY disappointing experience.
Good service
Place has really went to hell since the last time I was here. Was assured they had specified parts via phone before driving almost an hour to get there, but upon scouring the yard, which is a disaster by the way, discovered they didn't have part I was told they had. Staff had no knowledge of where cars are and yard is super disorganized and a safety hazard in general. Go to Wrench And Go.
(Translated by Google) There is variety in vehicles it is very possible that you find your piece (Original) Hay variedad en vehículos es muy posible que encuentres tu pieza
Google maps off a little, NEVER been there
Best place for car parts
Good people and polite
Friendly
Took forever and don't know what they have
I was able to find some of the stuff I needed for my car
Good selection of cars. But everrone in there is rude. Prices are insane. Tried charging me $25 for a door handle. New online is less than half.
very friendly ppl Tommy will go out of his way to help you
Twice now I've tried to ask price on a part and they have no idea what I'm talking about. If you ask to many questions they just hang up on you.the workers are rude and ignorant they told me if I want a rear axle I'd have to take the drums off if I want it at the price he said.
UAW's is friendly as always & was able to provide me with what I was looking for, for my car.
Very helpful, excellent quality, I would recommend these guys ever wrench n go any. dayof the week
The owner is a complete ass hole
They have a lot to choose from but because their prices are way to expensive. A Wrench and Go motor across the street is 295. Yaws wants 750 still in the truck.
Very friendly good deals
This is real junkyard where you bring your own tools and remove the parts you need. If you don't know what the parts are don't go. Prices are very reasonable.
Very nice to work with
Dont go there
Most rude and racist place I’ve ever been too they’ll just all look at you without even helping you out I’ll take my business else where
Fast and cool ass dudes
So me and a couple of my friends went here looking for some interior and a few exterior parts for a civic and some of those parts could be universal. As we're looking around a worker comes over and asks what we are looking for, we tell him that we're looking for some parts for a civic and he proceeds to tell us that we should stop messing with other cars and go to the area with all civics or he'll kick us out. However, we weren't "messing" with any random cars, we were checking them to see if they had any air intakes/aftermarket items that were compatible with a civic. Besides that, good selection.
People are easy to get along with and the prices are fair
They always have the hard to find items
