Very nice staff! I come here whenever there isn't a huge difference in price per lb on my scrap. I haven't been in awhile bc I usually wait til I have a lot. Even though another scrap yard in town pays a little more most of the time, I would still rather go here. Their friendly staff and how quick and and easy it is makes this the best one in Evansville.

Material Recycling took my #1 clean copper and gave me the price for dirty copper. When I told them and showed them their error they said I was wrong and wouldn't listen to any reasons. I am an electrician, have been for a few years now. They only gave 90 cents a pound for brand new never used #1 copper. I tried this place because I live closer to Evansville but I'll be traveling further just so I don't have to deal with this place. They also don't post their prices so always ask what they are going to classify your wire as. An honest business wouldn't take advantage of someone who doesn't ask beforehand but this place did. Since going there I have been told by a few fellow locals don't go there and I'd like to share this advice to anyone going there. I went to my normal center and got 1.95/LB (approx.) for the exact same material I brought in to material. That just goes to show I should have made the extra drive to somewhere I know.

I've been taking metal over here for spare cash for over a year now, and I will continue to do so. Friendly, helpful people. I do wish they bought steel scrap, but I understand that the price of steel is in the toilet right now so....

Great service form these workers always bring my stuff here when I can! The sweetest lady works the inside counter she is genuine and so authentic! She even gave me a trash bag once when it was raining to cover my hair (:! How sweet! Long story short great staff, prices, and experience!

Rip off don't go here. Thet don't want to pay for anything but copper and aluminum. They said they'd take your steel but give you nothing for it. Had 25 pounds of #1 soild brand new copper wire and got 24 bucks, total rip off I won't be going back.

I always take my mothers aluminium cans in and always get paid good im not going to complain im not about greed i take what i can get because i know that the company don't make to much more then what they pay out and the employees are very respectful and quick to help the customer when needed. Material Recycling Inc. always accommodates our Cans for Cash program in the fall. The staff is very helpful and friendly and it is always a pleasure going in to check on the program. They also set up a nice area for our press conference, all with their own time, money, etc. Great people, great business!

A few friends of mine took some material from a job here months ago. I also found this place to give a lower than average price for material. The attendant who helped me also looked very sloppy and I didn't feel very welcome. I also did not see any prices listed and wasn't told what my material was rated until the transaction was over. I also find it odd someone who works there would review their place own place of business.
