I had a pile of construction materials left over from a home restoration project, including an old triple-hung patio door. Junk King charged me $13 less than my local waste management facility would have charged me to pack it myself, transport to the landfill with my own vehicle, and dump it. On top of which, I booked the appointment at 7:00 PM on a Sunday night for Monday morning, and they were there promptly at 8 AM. Fast, courteous, convenient, cheaper (and greener) than the dump: the total package!

Been about a week or so since the job my girlfriend scheduled while I was out of town. Wasn't happy about the price being more than I was originally told but I think they're supervisor Joe took very good care of things, he explained a lot about online quote and how they differ from personal experience. He was very professional, helpful and told me a lot about the company with recycling and repurpose of items through donations. Would've thought the guys made more on the hour but the job market is tough. I admire all the guys for how hard they work concerning being parents and such.

These guys get the job done, and they do it efficiently and politely. They got a very large sectional sofa out of my 3rd floor apartment without the help of an elevator—and they did it without scuffing any walls (which was impressive, not to mention better than I did when I originally moved it in). Payment was a snap via their web app, and the price was substantially less than I would’ve expected. This left me ample room for tipping, which is also easy to add via the app and rewards the crew for their good work directly. And they def. do their best to earn it based on my experience. I should also mention that I scheduled my appointment via their mobile site around noon and the job was done before 3:30—again, impressive. Highly recommended. If you’ve got something to get rid of and you’re not sure how to make it happen, look no further. I will definitely use their service again.

Called to schedule an appointment. Spoke with a woman about the service I needed. She said she would check with the franchise owner in my area to see if they could do the job. Waited a few days never received a call back. Called again spoke to a gentleman in detail about the job I needed done. He said no problem and scheduled it for that Saturday. I was driving from another state to have them do this job for me so I hit the road early to meet them there. I get a call from the franchise owner about a half hour before they are supposed to be there and after I drove 3 hours to get there that they were cancelling and could not do the job. I explained that I had spoken in detail about what I needed done and they said they could. I asked if they could help me find another company since they canceled last minute and I drove 3 hours out of state to meet them. The owner said he would check and get back to me. He never did.

I called and got quote for removing a couch and love seat. They started at $140.00 . I told them it was too much and got them down to $85.00. When they got to my daughters they wanted to negociate price all over again!.. She paid more $99.00 . They seemed like used car salesmen. I already had established a price and they knew it was two pieces on the first floor with no recliners or hide a bed. very disappointed. It isnt so much the $ difference but the scam .

Wow, what a great experience! I recently cleaned up our barn and had a lot of stuff, some of which was very heavy. I knew it was probably a full truck load, if not more. I thought about renting a dumpster and loading it myself, but after reading other Junk King reviews decided to give it a try. The truck arrived early and the 3 guys had it all loaded up in 45 minutes. It would have taken me a week with a dumpster. They were all very courteous and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again!

EDIT: I always find it interesting that these apologies are posted on a public forum rather than contacting me to do so. I suppose they have my money now and have no need to make amends for a service they are clearly overcharging for. I happened upon a competitor that moved nearly twice as much junk for about 2/3rds ($100) of the price. Please check out other junk removal services before going with Junk King. I would post who I went with, but I'm not sure Google would allow it. Pretty expensive for 2 large items (half a pickup truck load according to their website) and some random items. It barely took up 1/8th of their Junk King truck and it was $158 (after $20 off for booking online) I'd suggest checking around before going with them to see what other services can provide for you. Being on a time crunch prevented me from haggling, but I definitely don't think the service was worth $158 ($178 was their original quote). According to their website half a pick up truck was $99 to $148 Employees were friendly. They didn't reply to my email queries, but I suppose it didn't matter in the long run. I wouldn't use them again based on price alone.
