My Volvo S60 engine was diagnosed with a rod knock. Volvo said it would cost 13k-15k to replace. So I started calling around. 2nd call I made was here. I spoke with Jim and sent him pictures and a few hours later he told me how much he could give. Next day I had a check for $800 more than I asked for. I was really surprised. They picked up the car at no additional charge. Very easy smooth process. Helped me out a lot. Thanks!

I buy my used tires here all the time (too often). The only negative thing I can say is that it's a little awkward waiting for one the guys to ask you what you need. But once you talk to one of them they are all super nice and helpful.

READ THIS FOR A TRUE EXPERIENCE WITH CITY AURO WRECKERS! They will give you a quote and then try and talk you down in person for “after market installations” “messed up battery” ect. Don’t fall for this scam of a business, their service is slow and they will try and take advantage of you if you don’t know much about cars!! They gave me a $200 quote for a junk car and then tried to drop the price by $90!! All over a supposed after market muffler that “isn’t worth as much” when doing further research though, that muffler is just as much as an original/ has the same scrap value for it. At best they value would be reduced by $10 or so. These guys saw I wasn’t budgeing for a $90 drop so they tried to make it a $50 drop. Still outrageous and all clearly part of a scam. Save your time and go somewhere, anywhere else where they actually respect their customers and keep up with their word

I sat on the phone for 1 hour and 45 minutes to talk with a representative and at 1pm the time they close the call was answered and I was hung up on. I was beyond FRUSTRATED! I would give them 0 stars but Google doesn't allow it. Why would you support a company like that. Your choice but I'd look elsewhere.

this place is a f*cken joke! if i could leave 0 stars then i would. I have a mechanic friend who recommended this place to have my vehicle junked When i called to explane my situation one person told me i could fax over some paper work, then the next day i was told i could not do that, then the same day they had scheduled to pick up the vehicle with out me making an appointment to do so. The guy was very rude to me over the phone then when i asked for the managers name he gave it to me i asked for his and would not give it to me and just transferred me to the voice mail of the so called manager. I will be looking else ware to take my services.

Called, got a price on two wheels, showed up to pay so the would pull the part, price doubled and they dont have it they have to have it brought in when i was told 2-3 hoursto pull them, this place is terrible avoid at all costs there a scam. Staff was nice enough. I paid for a wheel with a tpms and a tire change from the wheel I had. The wheel I got had my original tire and tpms put on but broke the one I paid for and kept my wheel. Now I'm out the price of a tpms and what I could have gotten to scrap the wheel.

i had to get rid of a totaled car which was at a tow yard, Jim was fantastic in that he called the yard and arranged for the tow yard to pay me for the car and he would pay the tow yard when he picked up the car the next day. I did not have to take an other day off work, pay another day for storage, was paid on the spot and left with the matter taken care of. Thanks Jim.

they keep wrekords :3 of all nearby scrapyards and only use reliable sources if a scrapyard lies about having a part they drop them. Too these guys you come first they need details on your part like for mirrors i needed to know motorized heated or non car make model and year. some of the older guys can be crusty but they take their job seriously i luckily got a new guy who was pretty nice and made things simple. also if they don't have the part they or any other scrapyard they have on record will actually tell you instead of saying ya we got it and making you waste your time like some other scrapyards will. only problem is they are known for being good so wait times can be enormous on weekends for phone calls. also if they dont have it but a scrapyard they know has it they will tell you which one does and ask if you want to order it it costs extra but they wont lie and if their wrong call them by phone and tell them this scrapyard didn't have it once again their reputation is good for a reason.

I had a very poor first experience with this company. When I could not find the part I was looking for on their website on December 20, 2017, I called them and was connected to a saleswoman. She explained that for parts that they do not have listed online, they open the yard on Saturdays for customers to search for the part on junk vehicles. She told me I could come on on Saturday (DEC 23rd) between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM to look for the part I needed. I thanked her and said I would be in. On Saturday the 23rd, I prepared the tools I would need, dressed in layers and work clothes for the cold weather, and drove 20 min. to their location. I found an empty parking lot and an 8.5 x 11 paper posted on the door saying they were closed for the holidays. All they had to do to avoid this was let me know they would be closed, or to update their website and Google Map listing so that when I searched to find directions, I would have been notified they were closed. Instead they needlessly wasted 1.5 hours of my time, and created an experience that detracts from their brand and reputation. In this digital 21st century, I don't see how businesses can survive by treating customers and prospects this way. All I know if that if I treated my customers this way, I would not stay in business very long.

What do you do when your husband is deployed, your stepson has borrowed your van for a year, promptly wrecks it and you live 2 days drive away in another state? Call Jim at City Auto Wreckers. He was very helpful and walked me through everything I needed to do, and within 48 hours my mangled van was picked up from my stepson’s grandmother’s driveway - much to the relief of her HOA. Considering the state of my poor Caravan, (it now resembling a pug dog after colliding head on with a guard rail) I was quite happy to receive a payment for the van as well. It was more than enough compensation for a vehicle with very few usable front end parts. In all seriousness I had called two other places before trying City Auto Wreckers and they were not interested in helping my strange situation. By the time I spoke to Jim I was getting worried I was going to have to fly up and take care of this in person. I was so relieved to have found Jim and very thankful to him for his help.

Called and asked for an item in a specific color, and was told that that particular part was available. Asked again to confirm the color, and was told the item was the color I was looking for, which was black. Than I asked if I would be able to return the item if for whatever reason the color did not match, and was told that I would be able to do so. So I placed the order, and in a few days drove 4 hours to pick up the item. When I got there, the item that I received was grey and not black, like I was told it would be. So that I told them that I wanted a refund. In response to that, I was told that I could either get store credit or get part of the money back. Basically I was lied to twice, and had my time wasted. Would not recommend to anyone. Poor customer service and just overall handle to deal with, when there other places that won't BS you at every turn.
