DON'T GO HERE! Complete ripoff, and they're slow. They also make you wait a long time to get your cash, and then ask you all kinds of info ...just for some aluminum cans. I could understand performing a nearly full background check for copper, but aluminum cans?? Their forklift drivers are also very unsafe, and will nearly hit your car every time they pass. Be careful if you dare to go here.

Best recycling place in the Austin area. People complain about slow service, which is totally untrue. It's 110° outside...let me reiterate...ITS 110° OUTSIDE. These guys are working in the heat, moving heavy items, all day long, wearing hot, protective clothing. Give them a break, people...be patient! I've never had an issue with getting my money in a timely manner, either. The employees are all very friendly and polite when I deal with them. They answer any questions I may have, and don't talk down to me because I'm a woman, which I appreciate very much. Thanks, guys!

First time recycling and glad it was with them. This place and the people are very prompt, friendly and organized. Took a bunch of scrap metal from cleaning out land and got $115 for it. The price all depends on the type of metal of course but im very pleased with what I got. I will be returning here for all other metal and can recycling needs.

Place sucks.. they can't even buy catalytic converters don't even know how to price them out.. waiting for a 1 hour so they could find out but still weren't able too figure price not coming back that's for true. If I could press one quarter of star would still be too much on service

All American Recycling is a grate place with grate people! They have good metal prices! I have been a loyal customer for 3 years and not one dissatisfaction with earnings for metal's sold. Grate customer service and help with what is needed.

First time recycling. The platform scale people were nice and patient with sorting my items before weighing on the scale, they know their (non-ferrous) metals and circuit boards. The office people were quick and professional too. As an electrical engineer, big plus is they pay for various grades of circuit boards and insulated wire, unlike some other yards in Austin that are bare-metals-only.

Unorganized and slow customer service. And dont reccomend working here they will cut your check short with out asking for hard hat then ask for it after its ALREADY been taken out of your check. Spent a hour here trying to buy one peice or scrap.

Horrible customer service. Will close before scheduled times posted, and give you attitude when asking them why, don’t go there unless you like metal in your tires, place is kept filthy and they take no type of ownership for anything that happens. Worst scrap yard ever!!!!

Pretty nice place. Way less screws and nails on the ground than the other local place I've been to - they keep the weight area pretty clean. The covered scale area where you can unload is very nice. The guys helped unload and classify my items, though some aluminum around up with ferrous material. The office guy was all but impossible to hear through the glass unless it was dead silent. Payout was A-OK for prices these days - you can call ahead for rates but it would be cool if they posted them online somewhere. Itemized receipt was nice. Overall good experience.

First time ever to recycle anything and it was a great experience! The guys were friendly, helped us unload, and showed us the different ways to separate metals (copper, brass etc...) My nephew has recycled in South Florida and said what a difference here! Prices were better, employees were nice and it was easy to figure out where to go in the yard! We will be going here again and again! Great operation and great employees!

Horrible customer service, According to Senate bill 694 Regarding Air conditioning systems, I attempted to recycle a condenser unit - I DO HAVE RECIEPTS - I am owner/operator of My Truck Your Trash, Junk Removal service. I have been offered more money elsewhere, But I liked the people at All American, Been doing business there since 2008 and thought I would forever. The guy at the gate said he couldn't take it, I went back to my office, looked up THE LAW regarding the stricter regulations, and called back to speak with one of the 3 owners, was told nobody was available, got transferred and the woman on the phone basically told me she didn't need my business. I will not be returning to All american, for any reason whatsoever, as There are several other recycling companies on the way to all american. SB 694 states that I either need an HVAC licence, A reciept for purchase of a new AC unit, or Bill of sale, reciept, etc. showing how I came into possession of the metal. I was prepared to offer my reciept (to my customer from me for the service of hauling away the junk materials) The customer's contact information, and address, along with any other supporting evidence I may need. The woman on the phone was very rude and unprofessional and basically told me that even though I have been a loyal customer to All american for years, none of that matters and I should take my business elsewhere.... Duly noted. There are more scrap yards in Austin, and I do not need to do business with people who care nothing about the reason they have a job.

Crew is friendly. What a bunch of characters! Do the math, though: 1lb of stainless steel fetches 4 CENTS. The yard is super dusty so bring a sturdy car and heavy shoes.

Typical recycler. Quote you one price over the phone and then lower their price once you're unloaded. I unloaded 3500 lbs that they quoted at $.18 per pund and once it was all unloaded they lowered it to $.11 per pound. Huge difference! Yard crew were sympathetic but the owner blamed it on his father-in-law and wouldn't honor the price or even meet me half way. I got $.12 when I could have gone a mile down the road and been paid $.15. I would have loaded it all back up but I had to be at work by 9:00a and they opened their gate late at 8:15 and took forever to get me off the scale. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN.
