Okay to get rid of stuff but they will stiff you on prices. Place was convenient when cleaning out my garage of a few items but I noticed they were charging me for lesser metals when I was bringing them different higher grade metals. It wasn't the first time this happened either. I think they deliberately charge people for lesser metal prices to stiff you on paying you what you should get. Junkyard isn't a way to make cash and I'm not expecting there to leave with money falling out my pockets but if I bring 15 dollars worth of high quality steel based on their own rates and then the stiff you at the counter and give you 2.50cents because they're paying you for some cheap low grade metal when you've brought in high grade metal then we have a problem. I just used them to get rid of stuff too heavy for the garbage man too take that's about all they're good for.

Not sure about prices, so if you're in it for the money I'd do research. I just needed to get rid of some things easily. Though there are few (no) directional signs that direct what to do, where to go, wait get a number, go around. For a newcomer it was painful. Inside folks tried to act nice. In the end. Will probably go again if I am unfortunate to have something break.

One of the best places to go when you have some scrap mental, the people are very friendly and very helpful, as I have been going to Dover Scrap for over three years now I can say I have not seen a better equipped yard as Dover Scrap has, Sonny is always on keeping everything cleaned on front the the scale shed, and with his son Steven is right along side him with that, And the service from the lady's in the office well there is not much to say except very plight to everyone that comes through the doors, I do have someone that I have known since three years ago she is one of the best when it comes to keeping everyone moving and if there is a problem go to Mrs Melissa she handles her job very well, so to say she dont miss a beat lol Now miss Adreana is following in Melissa's foot steps and is doing great

I went to junk yard today and this was a tall older white male who was running a machine who actually took the time to get off the machine to help me unload my load. Not one other person tried to help me unload but he took the ignititive. I'm not sure of his name. But I've notice multiple times he's works at any station necessary and is such a hard worker.

I went here to scrap some copper wire. I took in inside the building. And the two men inside told me the difference between the two wires. And help me get the best price for my wire ! Very great full for them two help! Great business #doverscrap

Took in a load of aluminum cans (about 30 to 40 pounds) and came out with $5.00. When I called a few days ago I was told they were paying 40 cents a pound; 45 cents for 100 pounds or more. I figure I should have come away with something between $12 & $16.

Clean and very professional scrap yard. Sonny is very knowledgeable about scrap and keeps the yard clean and flowing. Everyone is very nice there and hard workers. 5 18 19 edit add on. Listen I was there about a month ago. Our vehicle broke down inside scrap yard. The staff went above and beyond to help us. Like wow. Even the office staff was very helpful. GM was excellent on advising us what to do. I am grateful. And plus we manage to get our scrap weighed out. Like I said before pricing is great on scrap and yard is big enough to maneuver around.

Called with titled van, they told me it was $5.50 a hundred. Van was loaded with parts from van, small motors,etc. Weighed just over 3000 pounds. They unloaded it , went to window got $3.30 a hundred. ($101.00) . They said cause it was stripped of engine and trans. They need more clarity...would have brought it to md salvage yard, paying 450 a hundred. ANYWAY THEY CAN SCREW YOU THEY WILL. WILL NEVER BRING A FRIGGIN HUBCAP TO THESE CHEATING PEOPLE!!
