I recently placed a bid on a boat at almost 30% more than their minimum bid (they tack on another 8% to the bid price as well) and patiently waited for weeks until the "auction" ended. A couple days after the auction ended I see the boat re-listed for sale so I called to see what happened. I was told by the lady who answered the phone that they don't have to accept any bids and can re-list the item for any reason. In this particular case, $10,000 more than their minimum bid wasn't enough to actually buy the boat. This isn't a legitimate auction site, proceed with caution.
