I weighed my items and they were 200 pounds before I went to the scale.... I was told I had 160 lbs. I had eight exact pieces. Twenty five pounds each. His helper took one inside to weigh and it weighed twenty five pounds. I WAS paid for the difference. FRIENDLY STAFF but be careful

I brought my first load of scrap here about 4 years ago. Back then I thought that this place was amazing! It was clean, organized, staffed. I go there maybe 2-3 times a year, from my first visit to my last visit (today) continental has been on a steady slide downhill, today, this place was a wreck! Metal all over the roads, dirty, unkept, I saw 3 humans during my visit I had to wait to scale out. I know what to expect when making a scrap run, I do not expect the Taj Mahal, but today this place was scary! What the hell happened? Horribly managed. I won't be back till you guys get it together again, there are scary places closer to home, I have no need to drive past other scary places to get to this scary place!

I've been to a lot of scrap yards and this was hands down the best experience I've had. Professional and polite. Organized and quick turnover. I will only come here from now on

Worst scrap place I've been in a while. While the facility is very nice, it is massively understaffed. I brought two factory BMW catalytic converters in for scrap (amongst some other aluminum scrap), 35 or so pounds between the pair. I took my slip and cashed out, not realizing until after I got home and looked at the slip and cash, that they paid me $9 per cat. They also rang up as 9lbs for both cats, when they were well over 30. These exact cats brought in $60 for the pair at G&S scrap last year. Bunch of crooks. I would never venture back to this place. G&S is miles better in every way. I hope someone exposes these crooks.

Awesome place. Very organized and neat considering the amount of metal they receive on a daily basis. Easy in and out. Friendly helpful staff.

I've been going to Continental for years. They used to pay the highest prices, they used to be fairly well maintained. It has been on a steady decline for the last 2 - 3 years. On my second to last visit the entire facility was littered with dropped scrap pieces and a pallet of scrap fell over right in front of my truck. Glad it didn't fall on me, but it blocked the path to the scale and I had to wait for it to be moved. Place is becoming a death trap. Final straw was the drop in prices. Even Albert Bros pays better for most scrap now. I'm sad to have to abandon them after years of business but it's becoming obvious they don't care about their customers like they used to.

Don't come here!! Scrap metal place, potential for damages. All kinds of metals all over the yard.

John Bellemare

Class act. They come right over every time to help empty the truck. Offer tips on how to maximize the pay out.

This place has a very dishonest way of weighing in their loads, I decide to recycle my damaged 30' coachman camper trailer and I made the mistake of going to this place. When I was on the scale I wasn't even able to see the weight in or the weight out. I know for a fact I had at least 500 lbs of clean aluminum that I spent days cleaning and making sure that it was free of any steel other debri or material. According to their slip that I received on my way out, They only paid me for 320lbs total .I know the weight of my vehicle and my utility trailer, and I know for a fact my load was just as heavy as my kids two honda 250 atvs on my trailer. They have a guy inside the warehouse playing with the numbers and the reason why I found out is because I also had aluminum wheels that had to be weighed inside the warehouse and the guy is sitting there behind a glass window. If I would have known this was going to happen, I would have gone to a public certified scale prior to going to this place and getting ripped off. Never Again!

Too small. Uncomfortable parking

Rob...you should have gotten at minimum and I can't stress MINIMUM $45.00 A PIECE For those converters. Yes the inside is full of platinum...palladium and even rhodium , which are all precious metals. If they were off foreign cars they are even worth more...if they were ford...GM then most likely 45 - 65 a piece depending on size. But you got taken for a ride. Not only did they make money on the 2 converters they paid you for...but they made bank on the 6 they basically just took from you. They sound like criminals.
