We always brought our metal here today and we just watched two cars almost run into each other on the scale. One employee told us to move forward while the rudest woman was yelling at us over the speaker. This is disorganized mess at the new location dont waste your time or gas.

Woke up, figured it would be a good morning to spend a couple hours loading metal into my truck and drive across town to get rid of it. Website said they were open, Google said they were open, even the sign in front of the gate said they were open. Were they open at 11:00 on a Saturday? Nope, gates were locked. We have tried calling for over an hour. They do not answer at the Colorado Springs location and you cannot leave a message. This is very unprofessional for a business for 1 to not answer the phone during business hours or 2 not have the option for leaving a message. We understand you get busy but then you could reply back and address customers questions or concerns. The Facebook page connects customers to the Pueblo location so you cannot contact the Colorado Springs location via that option either.

I used to go here over 10 years ago and the staff was always great. Now everytime ive gone the guys in back and the ladies inside are rude as can be. I wont be going back and anyone that would like to avoid being treated badly shouldnt go either. There is one rule in life that everyone should follow and it should be to treat others the way you want to be treated! This company has failed at the basic rule of life. Nothing but pure disrespect and rudeness not to mention they give false information on the phone just to draw you in and after you unload you find out true pricing and it makes you want to go load your stuff back up and leave.

Nice to work with. Did their best to keep up with our needs. Used them for a large project about 20 metal dumpsters. Quick to send payment out and were overall nice people. They need to fix their trucks though as there was a problem about 30% of the time in regards to the delivery or getting their dumpsters moved. Again pleasure to work with though/

Will never set foot in this place again. Trust the reviews below that they treat their customers like garbage because it’s true. I bring a large load of scrap every month or 2. The last time I was there they yelled at me not to dump in the normal spot and had me back into a large pool of water. I could not park next to it, I had to park ‘in’ it. We got mud all over ourselves and the truck. Was not happy about that and the employees thought it was funny. This time I went in and to the normal spot and an employee starts yelling at me to move to the next spot over. I do that and then he yells at me again to go across the yard to a different spot. Once I get there another person starts screaming at me not to unload there either. The person was rude and scolding me like I was his child. I just left. There is no reason to treat your fellow man like that and I was the ONLY person there at the time! Western is right next door and I’ll give them my business from now on. This place has no business dealing with the public. I noticed their work load is going way down which appears to be a direct reaction to their horrid customer service.

I hope the owners read the reviews occasionally. I have done business with Western Scrap at the Colorado Springs location for years, and I was always extremely happy with them. Since American Iron took over and made Cory the manager it has gone downhill fast. Unless some major changes take place Including some more pleasant people in the office, they will never have my business again.

Went with grandson to sell copper and aluminium.They low on prices on cans and copper wire but the worst was the 25 Cents a pound on the extruded aluminium.They had us drive on to the scales for 180 pounds. All of it was clean.The woman that worked the counter was slow and rude and slow. Will never go there again @!!!!!

We had a great experience at American Iron and Metals. Courteous, helpful staff helped us recycle our clothes dryer. We'd have paid $40 to leave it at our trash service company up in Woodland Park, but American Iron gave us 5 bucks for our trouble! We'll be repeat customers for sure.

I used to come here all the time at their old location and it was the best! If they were still there I would give 5 stars! One of the ladies is really nice and always treats me nice the staff is also really nice and help you backup where they want you to dump. There place was one of the cleanest in town. I will miss their old place.

I've brought them 3 junk cars and I can't complain. The price is the besst around and the service is 15-20 minutes or less. That's if i dont keep the cars rims and tires.

Thank goodness for the lady in the office who kindly showed my around and verbally walk me through the steps, I did not know what to expect when i got there but thanks to her it was a lot easier then i was expecting great customer service
