What a horrible experience! If you can at all help it take anything your gonna recycle ANYWHERE else than here they sent back and forth three separate times over there scales because they all had no idea what the others were doing and seriously they only gave me $19.31 for 265lbs of aluminum sheeting and 200lbs of steel that as you can imagine is not worth your time or gas save yourself the headache because when you leave you wont have the money for gas and Tylenol you can choose one but wont get both... at least there office ppl have a new building with ice cold air so everyone else can make them money.

Pay 1/2 as much is other metal dealers. When Selling copper and brass weight are less than # that scale before bring in.

USA Metal Recycling picked up a vehicle from my property on November 22, 2016. I was informed that they would take the vehicle to their facility, strip it down, weigh it and cut a check for the scrap metal within a few days. As this was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I gave the business the benefit of the doubt and did not expect any business until after the Thanksgiving weekend. I contacted the business two weeks after the vehicle had been removed from my property. I was told that the check had been sent on the preceding Friday, December 2, 2016 and that if I had not received it by the end of the week to contact them. I called again on Monday, December 12. I was told that the checks were being mailed that afternoon. On Wednesday (12/14), I called and spoke with Greg in the dispatch and asked if the checks had been sent, what was the delay and could they have someone from accounting call me. I got no call. On Friday, 12/16 I called again and spoke with the accounting department. I was told that they had a turnover of personnel in the accounting department and that the processing had been slowed. I was assured the checks were being processed that afternoon and that they would be mailed that day. On 12/20 I called accounting again. They told me that they still had not processed the payments because they had changed banks and theyt didn't have checks from their new bank account but expected them that day, but could make no assurances. They said they would call me back to let me know when to expect the checks to be sent. It is now over 5 weeks since the vehicle was picked up. As of today, I have had no contact from this business regarding our transaction. No return phone calls and no indication of when they would pay me the money that the owe to us. As they have made no attempt to let me know what is happening with payment, I feel that customers are surely not high on their priorities. I would not recommend doing business with USA Metal Recycling.

I have tried contacting them three days in a row and have been sent to voicemail every single day. They have been contacted during very reasonable office hours and have never called back. Absolutely ridiculous!

I'll give it a 2 star for being able to get in and out quickly. But am depressed at the payout. Took a smaller load to TRG three weeks ago and was paid $56. This larger load at USA paid $14 and the woman smiled at me. Yikes! Worth the extra miles next time.

This place is a joke gave me 50 bucks for a solid steel tornado shelter!!!! Was 1000lbs! I'll take my business elsewhere!!!!

Great place to get cash for unwanted items Made of metal. Can also Purchase $ metal to build stuff or custom projects for cheap compared buying new materials.

Just be prepared to get screwed. They take your stuff acting like everything is fine and send you to the office to get paid. Once there you are informed there was something "wrong" with whatever you brought, claiming foreign objects or contamination of some form and they are paying you a cheaper price for it. If you tell them no, you're informed it's already been mixed with the other stuff and can't be separated. Thought I had learned my lesson and demanded to stay and watch last time as they unloaded everything. I asked if everything was okay when it was weighed and was told it was fine. I was prepared to load it back up if not and wouldn't let them add it to anyone else's. Got to the office and was informed the 125 lbs of copper wire I brought them was a less "desirable" form of wire and was paid half its value. I got a whopping $12.56 for 125 lbs. If you simply want to get ride of it...fine. If you want a fair price for valuable metal, go somewhere else.

Went there yesterday with 5700 lbs of steel. Only gave us $145. Said it’s the going rate at $50 a ton. Called TRG before leaving there and received a quote of $120 a ton. Needless to say, we took 3 loads to TRG today and will not go back to USA metal.

They'll cheat you faster than you can bat an eye. Got half of what I should have, but once you've unloaded there is no way to prove it. Drive elsewhere.

First time coming here. Was closer than TRG to our job site. They paid us around $25 for what would have been $100 at TRG. Would not recommend at all. We had a lot of weight in good metal including air conditioners. After fuel they nearly get your metal for free. Go out of your way to TRG and at least get paid what it's worth.
