First time at this yard and other than the initial confusion of not knowing exactly where to go to unload, which is to be expected, everything went exactly like it should have. Quick and easy... No issues with rude employees or feeling ripped off. Everyone was helpful and polite. I will use this place again. Maybe putting some additional signs up to direct newbies and posting the prices that are being paid would be my only suggestions. Thanks.

Our business hauls scrap to them at least once a month and they are quick, friendly and helpful. And their scrap price is very competitive.

Used to be good..last few months has gone downhill...long wait times...employees that are left have bad attitudes....pays well if you can deal with the above...

Arrived 1615 no wait directed where to go. Scaled unloaded exited yard parked went inside office. $0.06 cents per poun for scrap steeld. Got cash chatted a bit with dude there and as I turned to walk out a very good looking large mammory gland lady walked out of back office. A very awesome no hassle experience. Will be back tomorrow to sell aluminum stash.

Honestly one of the best experiences I've had at a scrap yard usually they'll knock off wait and under give you what you got but at this one was 100% honest and cool guy and front desk gives you top price for your materials I highly suggest going to Tucson iron and Metal This is what I put six months ago when there was a different guy everything was wait at my house before he took it in they got me for about $60 worth two different times I highly suggest not going mind somebody who’s honest

I'm not a professional but yesterday I had a couple of hundred pounds of scrap aluminum from an old travel trailer that I dismantled and several bags of soda cans that I had been accumulating. I also needed to buy some angle iron for a project that i'm working on. I went there expecting a typical salvage yard complete with noise, chaos, personal hazards and sloppy rude employees who would mumble vague instructions to you as they pushed you out of the way and spit tobacco on your shoe. The noise was there and the apparent chaos but as I looked around I saw that the operation was very well organized and efficient. I came in contact with a total of eight employees and every last one was neat, clean and extremely courteous. They patiently repeated their instructions to me as many times as it took to make the whole experience as easy on me as possible. I really can't think of enough good things to say about the whole experience. (I don't know where Dave Weather Lake came from. That's not my name.:) )

I am not one to leave reviews however, after reading the first review I was flabbergasted at what was written! I have had the opposite experience withTucson Iron! They have been extremely helpful in teaching me how to properly sort my materials! Any time I have ever had a question about pricing they addressed my question on the spot. They go above and beyond in every aspect of business! They are extremely polite, helpful and fair! I visit almost once a week for over two years now and will never go anywhere else! Outstanding company to conduct business with! (Especially as a woman) Many Thank You's to Tucson Iron! A loyal customer forever. Barbara Silva

the place was big and had a lot of workers, but unfortunately for a first time going there i had no idea what to do! there are no signs anywhere, i got pointed in the wrong area at first, then i was told to go to the back, and then i was told i was in the wrong area again and to go to the very back where nobody was at. i ended up leaving my scrap metal in the back somewhere and left annoyed because nobody helped me. i will never go there again

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! I waited in line for 20 minutes. When I backed up to the small scale to get my stuff weighed some guy decided to walk up and put his stuff on the scale before me. VERY VERY POOR COSTUMER SERVICE!!!! I'd give them less than 1 star if I could.

I recently took quite a bit of scrap in. The owner/manager stated, very clearly, that since I had a lot of cast aluminum/steel mix, to put it together and they'd pay transmission price, which was 20 cents/lb. I specifically asked him if it wouldn't be better for him to have me separate it, since it wasn't any more work at the separation process. When they got 2 rollbacks of this material, they paid out steel price, which is considerably less. When I confronted him at his front desk, his exact words were F%#$ You. Extremely shady practices and not a business I'd consider selling to again.

During the remodel of our residential property this was the best place to take our scrap to. They paid the best and everyone was quite helpful and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Their scale needs to be calibrated. I brought in 25 pounds of clean brass on the 30 and I know it weighed 25 pounds because I weighed it on a beam scale when I left that morning. Must have sweated out 14 pounds by the time I got there cause they said it was only 11pounds. If I had not been walking id have said something. I can see a pound or two, maybe 4 ,but not no 14. I guess they aren't making enough and gotta rip a guy off. 1st time I've done business there and it'll be the last.

I have sold huge amounts of aluminum cans, copper, brass, stainless steel and other aluminum scrap to Tucson Iron and Metal in the past several years and they treated me exceptionally well. An experience that I had a week or two ago was a big disappointment to me. I arrived there with around 30 pounds of aluminum cans and some steel. In the warehouse where the cans were weighed, the attendant told me that the price per pound was 65 cents. When I went to the office to get paid, they only gave me 60 cents a pound. I live on the east side of Tucson so I decided that on my way back home, check the aluminum can price at an establishment on 22nd street near Craycroft. I found out that they were paying 70 cents a pound. Tucson Iron and Metal, you can do better than that!!

I went to Tucson Iron & Metal scrap yard yesterday. I needed to buy some materials to build a Welding Table. Everyone there was incredibly friendly and helpful. The guys in the yard cut everything I needed to length. And I even got some advice on the thickness of metal I needed. Great experience! Reasonable pricing. I'll definitely be back. Thanks everyone for your help.
