no bomb shelter anymore got renovated- I just graduated

Even with over a decade of US history for the whole academic life and the like, it's still the same post graduation in college. However, still pay attention nonetheless. Civics can't be beaten. It will determine student aptitudes for learning the ever-changing world of law and ethics in the US. Make sure to enjoy the times in class because it's not everyday that Mr. Rakita will play music. For English, beware of Mr. Otis and for science beware of Mr. Smits. The force is ever strong with them. If Jedi powers have not yet matured, minds will be lost forever. Obiwan was honored to have dueled with Mr. Otis and Mr. Smits when they were mere Padawans before apprenticeship. The duo, however, are barely a match for Mr. Wanamaker. Watch out for this former Jedi. He has killed a squirrel with nothing more than his Jedi powers...and a yogurt cup. The battle still rages after a decade, with the sequel finally released in theaters this year. ***SPOILER ALERT*** Remember your favorite Elementary school teacher, Mrs. Schwanke, well yeah...embarrassing reveals here...so be prepared to be psyched out. For first year and future attendees, the bomb shelter located in the basement, although now primarily used for office space storage, may be needed in the near future for apocalyptic events or if another cold war should break out. If needed, consult with upper classmates on the nearest stairwell with access to the lower levels. Remember, EVERY point matters. It will make or break a final grade. There aren't "extra-credit" opportunities often so when they come up, rise to the occasion head first and earn points to slack off later. Proper tracking and balancing of grades makes a student efficient instead of lazy. Although not as up-to-date as NORTH in terms of amenities during the time of my attending, parking accommodations have now far exceeded WEST's non-existent student parking. The construction plan implemented a decade ago now bear fruit to epic sporting events on epic sporting event fields. There is even a more accommodating parking lot with excellent lighting for those late night extra co-curricular get-togethers as well as designated parking for the mostly trustworthy faculty. For fourth year attendees, there may have been debate of the legendary Senior Projects class or the alternative with lots of literature. The class, also known as MARX-OLOGY 101, is NOT a typical class. Unlike MOST of Geometry involving sine, cosine, and tangent, the latter parts of Advanced Calculus (you will at least use calculus to figure out a solid budget to purchase the latest and greatest tech), and most of the AP classes (from veni vidi vici to 12 straight years of U.S. History), MOST of the things learned in THIS class will MOST definitely be needed for MOST of the post academic life. From resumes and cover letters to rent versus mortgages and even all about loan applications and lines of credit, ANY questions about life, especially after graduation, should be asked when taking this class. (Although Health will be a better class for the making-of-a-family-type questions.) Rated this place 4 out of 5 stars for the lack of a map for the maze underneath the basement bomb shelter; walking the whole maze with the right hand on the wall took almost 4 years to get through. The one redeeming feature, though, is that classes are always to the right or the left after exiting the stairwell when heading to class.

Good teachers, and students get a good education. Not a fancy new shiny high school like Kimberly or North. If that's more important than the education to you or your kids then East is not for you. As a whole the students here seem to get along well, not the amount of bullying and differences as other school districts in the Valley. I think it starts with the grade schools and middle school being more diverse so the students at East have grown up around other cultures and parents from many different financial situations.

Have two kids now there and everything seems to be good. Learning is apparent, lunch is good, extra activities are plenty
