REVIEWS OF University of Washington IN Washington

I was only here on a tour so I didn't see all of the university. However, I can say that U Dub has a really beautiful campus, which is huge (one of the biggest I've seen). Most buildings were really modern and the faculty seemed really nice. Also, the famous cherry trees were in bloom when I went so that was awesome! I don't know what to say, I feel like it would be a great place to study and pursue a major.

Lucen Li

Big campus with nice views to Mt. Rainier in red square. Plants and architecture are also a highlight.

Nice campus, good afternoon visit and walk.

Isaac Frankel

Best university! Only great memories!

Eric Flapjack Ashley

Absolutely beautiful campus, with a photo-esque library that houses one of the world's largest books and a reading room that feels straight out of Harry Potter. Red Square is one of the best, most open areas to experience the busyness of campus life, and the HUB comes complete with a food court and a downstairs area with eSports, gaming, bowling and more. The only drawback is for visitors, the campus tends to be overwhelming and there are not nearly enough signs for walkers to point them to key hotspots. Pro Tip: Come to campus when the Cherry Blossoms bloom in April. It is an amazing sight to behold!

Such a beautiful campus in a beautiful city. The time I spent there was amazing. I love UW!

Joshua Monroe

A beautiful campus to visit. I hit up a couple of the museums when I was in town for a convention, and I was really impressed when I walked around.

Calvin Chen

Amazing view! Lucky for those who study here.

Shahad Almahdi

This university is actually pretty selfish. They don't do college visits or accept international students. I think they think they're as good as Harvard.

Peter Chung

Beautiful campus.

Kristine Choi

This will be my next school after graduating high school.

Wannakorn Yutthaard

Should be here when spring come

pragnesh parikh

What an amazing experience to enjoy the beauty of nature at the Cherry and Magnolia Blossoms at the University of Washington, Seattle this Saturday. Perfect weather- beautiful sun, blue skies and brisk spring chill in the air. Year after year these trees put up an awesome show of nature. Fragrant blooms and ever changing colors and patterns of nature. Pretty much every nationality could be heard in the linguistic chatter. Good or bad, it was hard not to distracted from admiring the amazing show of nature due to constant chatter, selfies and dramatic poses people prefer. If you are willing to discard lower 6' zone then one can really appreciate the colors, the blooms, contrasting tree branches against beautiful blue skies.

I mean, it IS allo'dat and those baggy chips errybodee yalways talking ont...so, yeah...Great place to work fo sho, both academically and operations/support, although best to share the same mindset on (all)things if you want to be successful (or happy)...swear-to-g... Pretty ok as a student, nice stuff n places, decent college activities, locale, fun. Most (95%) of the student body are completely brainded, often a class of hundred(s) finds 2-3 individuals conversing with the Prof or TA for the entire qtr/sem! Sweartog! And, its not like no one is there to participate...they all come to class but its like High, no Middle School. no, it's like a Middle School dance...u can smell the fear of 12 year olds who dare not speak, knowing ANY open-mouthholearea-ness will spew a moron-athon of 'dadumbz' and then snowflake tears will fall, no real reason required. Howevr, comma, it can actually be ok nice for the other 5%. Soooooo much to be taking advantage of: the system, students, infrastructure, trampy chix, staff n teachers, the weak(and their parents), all 'rules', + more, lotsa mores...sweartog. Serious note...not quite a large campus as campi go, but you will walk very muchly...dont bitxh lardbottom, and don't dawdle to next class, u might be late!

Marissa Miramontes

Beautiful campus!

Kevin Phan

It is a very nice place

Thom Fain

Easily one of the best places I've ever worked in my 7+ year professional career. The campus is, of course, architecturally and ecologically one of the prettiest in the nation -- and visits to the library were always super productive.

Jimmy Lee

Nice cherry blossoming trip.

Francis Yarborough

Great school

Joe Zacharin

Came for a BS in engineering. What I really got was 0.5 ply toilet paper, rain, numerous nights spent crying in the library, capacity constrained majors, a fountain that sprays aerosol goose feces, boundless failing (forward), 24 hour drunken benders on game days, U district shootings, rent comparable to the Upper West Side of Manhattan, snow days, tests curved to a mean score of 45, sub par mexican food, a dorm run by an organization more corrupt than North Korea, rain, a greek system with more sexual assault cover-ups than the Catholic Church, a football coach with a salary of more than $3,000,000, a president with a salary of more than $700,000, a new CS building right next to the other new CS building, a quarterly budget of $300 for textbooks, two unnecessary bell towers, rain, and a BS in engineering. However, UW does have the cutest mascot of any university in the country, and a pretty good meme page, so there's that.

Brian Park

The real UW ;] Great university, would highly recommend. A nice diversity/demographic and a department for nearly everything. Great location and food everywhere~

Sean Lahusen

Pretty good for an online university. Hard to tell if some profs are machines or sentient beings, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter.

J P

The campus is beautiful to walk through. There are a lot of cool buildings and the grounds staff do an amazing job with the landscaping.

minghao liu

The campus is large and there's plenty of spaces to park if you're driving. Also rates are acceptable. There are both new and historical buildings and you can actually go inside some of the buildings and have a tour, unlike some other famous universities. Since the main campus is built on a hill, it's also a good place to go jogging.

孙学胜

Beautiful camp

Ashton Smith

I had a lot of fun at the University of Washington the staff that was certainly friendly to me

thomas rodrian

As an alumnus of the University of Washington, I can easily say this was the best university experience for me. I loved everything from student housing to all my professor in the MBA program. Wish I still live in Seattle, but work and additional collegiate studies took me away.

Ryu Kevin

Final week is pain in my arse

Adi Pradana

Very beautiful view when blossom season

Independent Journalist

***** "Teachers" and "students" ........tormenting and abusing mice and other animals...........is that what these "multicultural" parasites do to animals? .......This "criminal" animal torturing "school" is funded by the "federal" "government".......not surprising.............and , also illegal immigrants get free tuition , to attend this hideous "school", as long as they keep abusing innocent animals.

Gilbert Santana

Having an old architecture building, similar with USC or Stanford.

Jeremy Espinoza

It is a pleasant campus to walk around and look at. However, the buildings are more spaced out than I feel they should be, and everything on the inside of the buildings feels terribly dated for as big-named as this school is made out to be.

Abby Weiler

It's expensive and crowded. I just want coffee and banana bread and to go to sleep. Instead, I'm poor and awake all night crying.

Clint Russell

I had an amazing four years at UW. Wouldn’t have changed a thing...

Global Teja

Awesome campus, great faculty and many activities happening around. Spectacular location. It’s a great tourist spot too since there are so many beautiful places inside the campus.

arianna mclaren

Couldn't find the main part of the campus, but I loved the vibe & the beauty of it all. To be honest could have done more research before hand on my part aha. Worth the peak though!

Good school, but can be challenging to work with. I appreciate that they’re willing to talk to you.

Nikki Bugriyev

This college is absolutely awsome! The building itself is nice and the education is great! 5/5 and i totally recomend it!!

M. P

Love this place. April is the time to go for cherry blossoms but it will be crowded. Pro tip, park in kane hall after 12 on the weekend and it's free. It's a great way if you need to go to the campus and get lunch on the ave.

Han Xia

UW has the best STEM and business programs in the nation. The campus is kept very clean and the scenery is beautiful.

S K

Has a beautiful campus that is full of history. The buildings are amazing! If I hadn't moved, this would have been my main choice.

Shrijan Sathish

11/10, best u n i v e r s i t y , would visit again, go h U s K i E s

Linda Lane

Do repeat what you've read about Seattle's 'freeze culture' - and please do not come here, you wouldn't like it - you will prefer some other state's school or a different country even better. I just know it.

Todd Crenshaw

Not such a safe place, students are pretty rude to locals.

Srinivas Katla

Great University with peaceful ambience

Jerry L.

It was really cool to see the reading room

Mike

Top notch university. Best in the Northwest, no question. High caliber programs, gorgeous campus, excellent job placement programs.

The top of the University in the world. There are so many classic buildings and stories. Go for a walk and take a picture of the campus, so nice.

Kirk Lestelle

Surrounded by a great amount of diversity and perspectives. I was fortunate to graduate from such an impressive and enriching institution. Beautiful campus. Great professors. Wonderful facilities.

Scott W Lawrence

Beautiful campus. Great quality education. Go dawgs!

Hitesh Gupta

It's like a replica of the Harry Potter!!! The buildings definitely look like that!!! It's really cool though!!!

Brandon Na

Possibly the best kept University/college secret in the US. Please continue giving it rankings below the top 10 so that people don't know about the value. Please continue to not place it as one of the best because I don't want more people to flood the beautiful campus and incredible facilities. And fortunately, very few people use google reviews as a criteria for selecting their college. I got in many years ago and decided to go to a University to the south because I assumed the smaller classes and more elite group of students would better serve me. I was wrong. I regret never getting my BA from the UW. However, I've gotten a follow up certificate and have studied in the libraries for years and also have enjoyed the campus time and time again. "It's simply amazing!" as Will Ferrell spouted off facetiously about Harvard. He should have said it about the UW. Because it is. Amazing. Simply. Amazing!

jojo jose

washington university is very good for education

Kevin Smale

Signed up for info about a coding bootcamp, was informed I would be contacted via e-mail or phone call. I managed to find the info I wanted online, but the coding bootcamp called me every single day without ever leaving a message, I had to Google search the phone number to find out who was essentially harassing me. The numerous phone calls made me wonder if the coding bootcamp is based off of a commission.

Amanda Westbrook

I visited the grounds for the recent cherry blossom bloom. I was impressed with the architecture around the campus - old mixed with modern buildings. I would love to attend if I had the money to!

Jeremy Tyler

I love the fountain, roses, geese and the historical architecture. I will definitely be back to photograph the roses more now that I know when they are there. I have always wanted to go to this college for their bachelors level photography degree. Maybe someday I will huh? I hope my luck hangs in there! Thanks Home State!

Franklin Walker

I came upon the campus from the west and was underwhelmed as the building seemed to have been built in the 60s and 70s and were a bit dated. However soon I made it to the main part of the campus which had classic building that reminded me of Wash U in St Louis and Harvard in their style and design. The fountain area was lovely and open and the walk down to the bridge was lovely. I got to see the Huskies’ Stadium as I walked by too

Yingjie Cheng

The internet here is freaking trash

Brenda Foster

Shout out to Tom Phillips for be my favorite Professor. He actually cares about his students and hooks everyone up with future jobs opportunities. Your the best Tom!!

Leo Poon

very beautiful campus! This is almost like a historical town that fuses with modern architect. It was a pity that the library was closed. will come back just for that next time!

Yohannes Wubu

this is a very great campus and a very highly competitive college

Legio V

Awesome!!

Ajay Nioding

Had chance to visit during the Convocation in June 16. Beautiful Campus with stunning view of Mount Rainier. Quality of Education imparted prepares students as future leaders in their respective professions and the culture makes them good human beings.

Bosno Hrvâskoï

Homeless tents everywhere. Students you meet (to earn as friends) will not talk to you all the time. Most students are flaky for study times. No encouragement offered from the school

Dillon Robinson

Has an Animal Torture Facility for “research”. Maybe those same losers “researching” the animals are the ones who deserve to be tortured. Watch your backs.

Natasha Jahseh

Best investment of my life. I was terrified as a 18 year old high school kid coming here. I blossomed and grew into what I am today and couldn't have done it without U of W. From my spouse who I met there to the job that I have now that I give full credit my education there. Thank you!

Saila Gonzalez

The environment was really nice, a nice place for a sweet reminiscent walk and it was free when I went in so even better!

Pooja Anoop

If you want to see the Cherry blossom. This is the place. It's so fairytale types. You can get pictures there too. Pet friendly place too. Parking for visitors of Cherry Blossom should be on E1. I visited on a weekend. Parking was pretty decent.

Matt Park

Having participated in a couple clinical trials at the UWSOM at the UWMC, I can attest for the professionalism and expediency of the employees there. From the clinicians to the study coordinators and reception, everyone is diligent and respectful. As a public entity, the institution finds a great balance between serving the public and improving our health while consistently delivering high quality academic advancements from many of the clinical trials that happen at the UW.

Marshall Means

my sister goes here

Ankur Aggarwal

Excellent place to see cherry blossom

Oro Shin

Drugs, Homeless, Assaults, meth, heroine. Watch "Seattle is Dying" on Ytube if you have any doubt. UW can care less about your degree. They make money out of student apartment rentals. Selling loans to loan sharks. The campus is here to make sure you end up in big debt. This is what loan sharks are after. Gullible rich kids. Beware international students. Look beyond the cherry blossoms.

Gloria Yu

I visited this university for the first time and I really love it. Didn't know how big and beautiful this place is. The library was huge. I ordered a Starbucks in the library and charged my phone in the library. The students are working very hard haha. The cherry blossoms are not there yet, probably it was still the start of the March. But one tree is already flourish. The ground is green and many college students were playing on the ground. The transportation from university to airport is also convenient, you just need to take link train. There are many yellow O2O bicycles there, really convenient and amazing. The purple cloths are everywhere. Enjoyed the sunset! Also might a uber driver who is a student in this university. She is also hardworking. If I came here one year earlier, I would consider applying to there graduate program.

吳漢堡

University of Washington is reputable for its classical campus and outstanding performance in scientific research. It's quite a worth visiting spot in Seattle.

Wei-Hsiang Hsu

Very beautiful university~~

ALEXANDER SALDIVAR (STUDENT)

It is pretty good, we went to see a game, and it was VERY lovely and staff were very nice!

TheBestSisters

WORST SCHOOL EVER (WSU IS BETTER GO PULLMAN COUGS)

Nicholas Kullman

Worth a stop. Specifically, go check out the HUB, Rainier Vista (+Drumheller Fountain), the Quad (especially if it's cherry blossom season) and Denny Hall, Union Bay Natural Area, the stadium, the new light rail station, the atrium in the computer science building... It's a pretty campus. There's a self-guided campus tour and a self-guided tree tour. Both entertaining. Oh yeah, and they're a top notch university.

Sean Kim

Beautiful school!

Kaho Chan

Great plaza full of cherry blossom and people. Actually, too many people :( The red square is also interesting.

SoCal Punx

Big campus. Very easy to get lost. Lacking in department oversight.

Asha

Best University

John Love

Bruce Lee and a friend of mine both separately when to college, he has lectured for world's leading mathemeticians years ago and is a teacher now

Josh E.

A pretty nice campus close to the Pacific Ocean. I enjoyed walking through it on a sunny day. I've been at more impressive universities but this one is worth checking out if you have the time.

Ken and Alicia Lund

Gorgeous campus and an excellent urban university.

Naveen Khan

I go to school here. I feel like the professors really push you to find what motivates you. So far I have felt all my professors to be very competent with high standards and a good work ethic. Therefore they expect the same from you. …

Derp Josh

I'm an International student from Asia. It's a good school in terms of academics. But I feel this school is too liberal, and hostile to student who are conservative or have a religion. To a certain extent limitation of freedom will hinder academic development, hope they will understand that.

Niaz Nafea

Great staff, great views, great campus.

Laura Brooks

Beautiful campus. My son attended this school. Very pricey hence the good education.

NewEarth

I attended this university decades ago. The hard academic training still resides in my soul and who I am. The campus was so beautiful I still can see the breathtaking beauty of the architecture in each season when I close my eyes. I created the most romantic and intellectual memories there. It took me years to realize all that looking back.... I have visited so many different universities internationally since, but UW is just so special.... This is something.

yao tong

I love the library here.

Jared Smith

Charging certain groups exorbitant "security" fees (5 figures) to have a someone give a speech and not charging others is prejudiced. It's a great example of colleges not respecting the 1st amendment or the local taxpayers funding their liberal circus.

Jason Hammrich

good football team

punjabi humanity

nice university of Washington

Lin Yang

No wonder people keep saying UW is one the most beautiful university in USA. We visited during early October. The walk up and down the mountain, in and out the trees, around the elegant architecture is such fulfilling journey.
