You have the reviews of people like you who have information of the products and services of The George Washington University (School) in Virginia.
As of day the business gets a rating of 4.0 over 5 and that score was based on 268 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is quite high, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we can think that the score is very faithful. If people have bothered to rate when they are satisfied with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This School belongs to the category of University.
This has become an awesome DC city campus since I was there in the late 90s!
The MPH program is largely focused on issues of the DC area and not on public health as a whole. Expensive. Student association fee $400 every semester....did I mention expensive? Most of the teachers work full time and only teach at GW for extra money so their focus is not on grading assignments or answering questions. I would say look elsewhere if you are truly passionate about your graduate degree....
Great school
GW is an astounding university and I think it truly does deserve a 5 star rating. I am currently a student in the School of Engineering and Applied Science and I truly think I am getting a quality education. GW is ranked in the top 10 U.S. universities in many of its programs such as international affairs, international business, political science, law, public health in addition to countless other programs. It is on the rise as a university especially in engineering with the newly opened Science and Engineering Hall that GW invested $300 million dollars in to build. I am confident that in the next couple of years, GW will be recognized for the strides it has taken to solidify its reputation in engineering and many of its other fields. Overall, I would very much so recommend going to GW. You'll be right in downtown DC in a highly energetic area surrounded by motivated intelligent people. Most students I know lead busy but fulfilling lives and will intern for companies while being involved with clubs or fraternities/sororities and keeping up good grades. GW and DC offer so many opportunities and the key is to take advantage of them. I am involved with numerous on campus organizations, am interning at a company while dedicating most of my time to studies. Most of my peers regardless of major have similar schedules. I've had an easy time finding internships both in NYC (where I'm from) and in DC. (GW was ranked #1 by Princeton Review for Best Colleges for Internships and it is clear why) I am confident I'll be able to excel in my career with the knowledge I've gained here. The alumni I know who graduated from GW and went to my high school had job offers lined up before they even graduated with 100k+ salaries. Academically, GW is certainly challenging and is on par with any top school but you could always find the help you need if you look for it. They are generous with financial aid and scholarships. I was accepted to many similar city schools (NYU, BU, Northeastern) but chose to go here because I got a great financial aid package and scholarship and even though some of these similar schools offered nearly identical packages, I felt at home here.
A very pretty campus with lots of restaurants and bars to check out. Also, it's a very close walk to the touristy parts of DC and shops at Georgetown.
I love GWU
GWU is one of the best universities across the United States. They offer great degrees for social sciences. The only negative issue for me to mention is that they do not own a 'regular' university campus.
I attended GWU from 2006-2010. I can solidly claim this to be the worst investments and regrets of my life. I truly don't have the time, patience, willingness to recant this traumatic experience....but here's some highlights: - THEY'RE THE LARGEST LAND OWNER AND EMPLOYER IN DC (Other than US Gov). Their priority is NOT education. That is a lie. - Very poor academic advising. Be careful not to put your life in their hands. - The average teacher is depressed and unmotivated. - The student culture is terrible. The school's culture is replaced with the city's culture. That can be a good thing to some people, and awful for others. Either way, the school itself is not responsible for any engaging social activity. You'll have to look elsewhere. -The students are generally disappointed in the quality of education. I was warned of that by graduates but I didn't listen. - Incredibly expensive. It was, at the time, the most expensive school in the country. I also attended Baltimore City Community College on summers, which is literally the cheapest (for me). As it turns out, the BCCC teachers cared more about me and were better at their jobs than the overwhelming majority of GWU teachers. - Washington DC has no soul. More specifically - it will steal yours. - The administration has the same effectiveness and efficiency as their neighbor, the U.S. government. - The ONE shining light here was that it was painfully easy. Easier than high school by a large margin. I averaged 40-100hrs of actual work/studying per semester. That allowed me to join groups, clubs, and activities around the DC area that truly allowed me to grow and develop. Since I was never working or socializing with the school, I was able to adventure around. It worked for me. But many of my peers fell victim to the mundane alcohol abuse of the college stereotype experience. But look, this is all just my experience. Maybe you can gamble here and walk away a better person. I doubt it, but it could happen. My point is that it's much much more likely to happen somewhere else. Do not go to GWU. Save yourself the money, frustration, and regret that I and all my peers experienced.
The university campus is huge large & it provides quality education.

Someone please tell me more about this campus, I'm on my way to the USA for a Youth leadership Conference that will held on this Campus
Excellent. The university campus is huge large & it provides quality education.Great university in the heart of Washington DC.Solid reputation and great location .
Excellent.
I am a PhD student in Electrical Engineering. There are no projects active in EE therefore there is no funding in EE at all. If you have your own funding even then I wont recommend this school. Because it's hard to publish research papers, which is one of the major goals in PhD, without doing research on cutting edge on projects.

Very great institution and citadel of learning right in the heart of Washington DC! The environment is lit up with beautiful greenery and lots of attractions and fun spots. It's a nice time being here. Lovely people everywhere with the most amazing gestures I've ever seen. Great facilities too!
Just another Democrat party enemy filled University, that poses itself as an American institution of learning. When you want to remove the founding Fathers name from your building, that is an act of aggression. al qeada uses this same tactic with every country they invade. When your neighbor can no longer tell the difference between a Democrat and an Isis fighter, you can no longer "pretend" to be an American with loyalties to the Nation. This place and Hofstra should be shut down immediately, and it's facilitators charged with lending aid and comfort to American enemies.

Nice campus. They are very difficult when trying to organize a public event. You are much better off using a different university.
Garbage
Yes one the
Having an anti white Christian seminar is a great way of supporting diversity and freedom here in the United States apparently to liberals. What a joke, this is why we voted Trump.
Please stay away from this school unless your child is mentally retarded. Do not believe 5 star reviews here. Horrible experience for my daughter! She participated in this summer science program for college credits. She was the only pre-college student in the program. Her classmates mostly were 1st or 2nd year GWU students. Shockingly these students are severely challenged academically. Unfortunately my daughter had to be teamed with them for learning and doing experiments. Everyday in the program was a torture for her. Learning new knowledge was of course impossible. By the end of the program, she not only felt a total waste of her time but also felt a 20 points decrease in her IQ. How could these students get enrolled in GWU or even graduate from high school? It is obvious that GWU does not have high quality students!
cool
Whichever or whoever wants to do work for this garbage university,THINK TWICE! The woman in charge of the transportation/chartering buses don't pay her bills.Unless things runs perfectly, she don't want to pay. This jerk makes it a habit of stiffing people. I feel sorry for the fellow workers and students. She's a real (you know what)

I was told by a black student that the university didnt want any more white students when I walked by him with my daughter.
I landed a wonderful fellowship and cardiovascular engineering lab research opportunity in my freshmen year alone. I recommend joining the engineering school just because there is room for lab participation, but do not expect great academic standards from ANY of your classes. Although I had a great freshman year, the university can do a much better job working in the interests of the students, not just its financial gains.

Great university even if I am paying higher fees!
The one. The only. The best. Raise high!
I am pleased to have graduated from The George Washington University. It made the difference for me and led to my success. I attended GWU part time, working full time for the Federal Government. What I learned at GWU assisted me in advancing in the Government and enabled me to qualify for numerous positions. I was able to apply what I learned to much of the work I was doing. In 1976, I received a Master of Science in Administration from the then School of Government and Business Administration. I was fortunate to be admitted to its doctoral program, and in 1983, I received my doctorate in public administration. The program was rigorous and challenging, and I continue to refer to many of the textbooks I used. The program at the doctoral level emphasized critical thinking, which continues to serve me well today. I cannot say enough about GWU and am proud to be one of its graduates. I recommend it highly.

Really interesting university. Located in central DC, more opportunity, strong in international relation, poli-science and law. Also the engineering and science are also booming up, check the new SEAS building, It's amazing. People may like the peaceful city environment in the campus. It is not like the super big urban-town campus with football count, nor like the campus sitting under skyscrapers. It's a decent university among the VA,MD,DC area.
Well, after 2 years and over $100k, GW decided to cut the program my daughter was studying. While I understood they couldn't support the program with limited enrollment, their handling of the situation was awful. GW's offer was to teach her out with classes from a different major, but still give her a degree in the major they were dropping. Bad? Yes, but it gets worse. GW decided over a year in advance that they were cutting the program but withheld the information until 3 months into the school year. My daughter could have transferred A FULL SCHOOL YEAR before she did. The administration, including the Director of the College to the Dean of the College to the Associate Provost of the University all stuck to the company line that they handled things properly and that GW shouldn't pay any of my daughter's tuition back. Ridiculous. My only recourse is a lawsuit, which is the next step. Don't believe GW if they every tell you that they care about your child, they don't. They care about your money and their endowment. RUN AWAY. RUN FAR, FAR AWAY.
Great university in the heart of Washington DC
If you are not local, the communication is crap. The online services are impossible to navigate through. Every other month it seems I have a new person I need to talk to and no one ever actually helps. Every person leaves out vital information I need to finish my degree. I've dealt with them for 8 months with only supposedly one class needed to finish my degree. "Oops. We told you the wrong one. Noe you have to take another one." To put it lightly, I am very frustrated.

I attended GWU from 2010 - 2013 for a master's degree in project management. This was the best decision I ever made. It is one of the most respected programs in the world. I studied with talented people from all over the world and received a 1st class education. I am now a successful business owner and glad that I pursued an advanced degree at GWU.

Every single department here is a joke. No quality in providing students with basic necessities, out of textbooks for virtually almost every class before the beginning of the semester, you have to request anything at least three times to get it done (simply changing your SSN is done by a human which gets "lost" in the system sending in my SSN three whole times), overall waste of money for education and campus life. Advisers not helpful either, registration is locked until registration day, you get informed all holds have been lifted from your acocunt just to find out as soon as the registration server opens, that they haven't removed the holds :). Overall lack of responsibility and incompetence at the most basic level of service to students that are paying well over $65,000 a year on this joke.

Incredibility disappointed regarding an interview with John Mai, Director of Faculty and Staff Tech Support. Unprofessional and disorganized.
Wonderful education for your career and your life. A good foundation for graduate studies. They accept transfers both for the Spring and Fall semesters. I have very good memories and besides, the city is amazing.
Study online instead. Employers don't take this school seriously.
GWU is a respected school, but the Disability Office is terrible. The people who work there (Susan Mcmenamin and Gary Stoddard) were really mean to me about my testing accommodations. They do not even care. Avoid this place at all costs if you are a student with disabilities!
Haven't been there but my husband sure has ...he loved the time he spent there mean I would
While the food was descent, the service was so so. Once the cashier finally paid attention to us and we were able to order, she was very friendly. But prior to taking our order, she continued to talk to another employee and chat about non work stuff and ignore customers. The sweet potato fries and grasshopper shake were very good.
Mediocre School. Students are incredibly rude.
The office of undergraduate admissions leaves one wanting...

Is this a democratic convention or a commencement ceremony? Why do the speakers believe it's appropriate to disrespect our leaders and voice their political opinions on stage? This should be a celebration or educational achievement, not another opportunity to speak out against President Trump. Very disappointed.
Poor Communication On All Fronts: Resting a handful of degrees beneath Ivy League, GWU is a lovely and relatively prestigious institution. What is not lovely about it is communicating with anyone. When placing a phone call, expect long waits with several mechanical menus of options to surf through before selecting an option for live humans. The employees are pleasant enough when you get them on the phone - in a rather Stepford manner - but lack any sort of actual knowledge. They know just enough to direct you to a website or an email, but when asked pointed questions about applications, requirements, etc. they casually curl up and admit defeat before weakly providing yet another email or number to call. I spent approximately 3 hours on the phone being shunted from department to department, desperately trying to figure out how to log onto a Student Portal to apply for classes. A call into Admissions would be directed to IT, then transferred back to Admissions, then to Registrars, then to the Department I was applying to and back again, with no one actually knowing who to send me to and all employees politely divesting themselves of any responsibility to get to the heart of the issue. Instead they would calmly yet firmly indicate, "That's not really my department. Here, I'll transfer you to someone who might know something about it." Occasionally, I would run into a dead end of a voicemail, and with no ability to select a new option, would need to dial in again to begin the process all over. Overall, an extremely frustrating experience. Somewhat like calling your cable company and waiting in line at the Secretary of State/ DMV all rolled into one.
Great opportunities to attend public lectures
