So far, I heard people saying to "ghetto" But I just know I'm here to focus on my education. I wanna graduate. I wanna go to my father school since he graduated there in the 80s. I don't wanna let him down. So i think the reason people say it's ghetto cause how students act. I go there in one more year. I visit a few teachers there and they seem nice. Staff there were nice there.

Here's the thing. This school is filled with many different, diverse people, and is a school rich with culture and spirit. Every school has problems, and this school does as well, but I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

I disagree about the comments stuff on MBK. Meadowbrook High School is not the best schools in Chesterfield County Public School, but there are much stuff to learn everything about it. I've been in Meadowbrook High School about 4-half years before leaving it.

I hear all these people diminishing the school that i am currently attending its not ghetto. Thomas dale has had 3 drug dealers arrested there yet for some reason Thomas dale is a good school but MBK is ghetto. Its truly disturbing this innuendo people have of this school when they judge it for its past not its present and future

Most of my middle school friends go here as I go to L.C. Bird High and I miss them. I do come to the massive gym (L.C. Bird has only one court in the gym while here it has three) to practice basketball with my coach. That is one of the only two places I saw here, the other being the auditorium when my former babysitter had a concert years ago. Place looks nice but it could be deceiving after looking at the reviews.

The staff are very lazy about updating information for student attendance. If a child comes in late mark them tardy as it should be. Not absent causing the children's attendance record to be inaccurate. It's as if they'd rather the children have a bad record of attendance. It reflects harmfully on the parents and students,when indeed it is the staff's fault for not caring enough to correct such a minor issue.

It's what you make pour of it, this year we have a new principle and his his working hard to improve the school. Everything about this school with counselors, nurses, and some teachers sucks! I only have four teachers that are great and really care a lot about every single student, the others just dont care. My teacher for one of my third period classes grades things without calculation.. she just basically puts any grade she wants. This school really needs someone to check up on them really good. Everyone around the school knows the counselors, nurses, and some teachers do not care. Not saying this is the only school with this problem, every school has problems, but we need these problems fixed. Also, its not as ghetto as they usually make it seem. I mean sometimes yeah there are a few that do act that way, but not everyone. When looking at the menu, I've found that on their menu they advertise things better than they actually are. The milk are not even what they advertise it as. They don't even give you food tray liners, and they are required to do so. They give you you're burgers and chicken sandwiches on the cardboard trays and anyone can touch the trays or it could fall on the floor and get dirty, yet they still dont give you food tray liners. This week I have noticed the chicken and teriyaki chicken has been cold biting down into it. I go to this school, and what I have read from these reviews... its all true from these.

It's ashame to hear so many negative perceptions of Meadowbrook. I graduated in the '80s and received a great education at Meadowbrook, which lead to attendance at one of the nation's best colleges, then graduate school. I was very proud to attend Meadowbrook and have lead a very rewarding life as a result of that initial stepping stone. I never blamed other students, teachers, or administration for the education that I received. It is one's personal responsibility to study, educate yourself and create the environment around you which you so desire. Hopefully, future Meadowbrook students will take more accountability and make the improvements they so desire. Unfortunately, too many today readily blame others for their situation instead of taking control and personal accountability.

I went here from 2011 to 2015. All of these comments calling the school racist or ghetto are uncalled for and have no actual backing. You're just a freshman mad because a teacher made you go to class and hurt your feelings. Grow up.

Most people think that MBK is a horrible school and that the teachers and the students don´t care. Most of the students and teaches do care. I´m a student at MBK and walking the hallways all week and seeing the kids you sit back and think. MBK isn't trash like everyone sees it. MBK has bright and college worthy students. Just because there is a selection of kids that are bad and don´t pay attention doesn't mean that every child is bad. Yes, MBK isn't the best school in the world. We don´t have the fanciest things, but we do have love, dedication, and potential. This is not just a school for me, this is like a second home. It hurts me to know that I have to send my daughter to this school everyday. There is no control in this building. The administration in this building is the worst in Chesterfield County. The new one is never around when my husband and I show up. Pray your child does not have Karen Lee as her grade level administrator. Teachers are ALWAYS missing. The front desk is never welcoming. This school gets away with so much because they do not bet on having parent involvement based on the demographics of the school. They do not care that they are dealing with black or latino boys and girls. They use that to their advantage thinking the parents don't care. Parents PLEASE pay close attention to what is going on with your child in this school!! I bet you they won't try anything else with me after they realized I am way past involved. CCPS really needs to get this school under control, it is an embarrassment.
