Miriah Wixom

Going to school here is great! There is tons to do really close to campus. The town is small, but very diverse classes are not too big when getting into your major. Online program is wonderful!

Pang-Yun Chou

Very beautiful college environment, aside by the mountain, really impressed. Luckily to stay for an afternoon.

Carson Bodrero

Great college, but they won't allow 11-16 year olds.

Jeffrey Fielding

I'm just about to graduate with a Master's Degree and have loved my entire experience here. Awesome new buildings, cool old buildings, great professors, and great students who make for great campus life. And you can't leave out the superb outdoor recreation available all around. The PE classes are a blast! To anybody coming to USU I highly suggest taking up rock climbing, mountain biking, trail running, and skiing/snowboarding. There's even a new ski resort opening up that is only 19 minutes away. They just opened up the ARC (Aggie Recreation Center) and my wife and I love the rock climbing and everything else that is available in there. Complete party, great place to learn to become a learner, fun professors, useful clubs and student organizations, all around great place to get your degree or degrees.

I was a fan of Utah State until they recently added a testing center onto the library. This was the worst decision I have ever seen an institution make. Now professors don't have to proctor their own tests which is simply laziness, and students have to find extra time outside of class to go and schedule the testing center, then to wait in a line for longer than the actual test takes. They also give no directions once in the center. They give you a color and number, which to the new comer means absolutely nothing then you walk into a room with a bunch of junky desks and you stand there wondering what to do next with this colored number information. Once you finally get this extremely outdated laptop you sit for ten to fifteen minutes waiting for the proctor to type in the code. Why they just can't give you the code is beyond me. I guess they think you will sell it to the Russians. After you finish the test there are no directions as to what to do with the laptop. It is simply a poorly run program. The real problem is that it's just a waste of money that students paid. Currents students were not consulted in regards to the building and use of this center. Now I as a student pay thousands of dollars to a waste of a building. I know that my influence is really so small that it's practically nothing, but I will never recommend this university to anyone simply because of this center. My opinion is go find another school, one that may not waste your money in such a way as this institution.

Great school, not too big and I liked most of my teachers. Logan has a great small town feel with most anything you could want within 2 miles.

The staff was so rude and impossible to work with. They wouldn't put me on a payment plan when financial aid didn't cover all of the costs and they wouldn't give me any extensions on payment. I also ended up with holds on my account every semester for no reason (even they couldn't figure out why I had them). I had to go through this whole process of setting up a code phrase and being put on hold for a long time over the phone to get it cleared up. Halfway through my program, I found out that the state requirements for the job I wanted special education were changing and that I would have to add an entire major worth of math credits onto my existing course load to get the license I needed to teach special ed. If I had been informed of this up front, I would have chosen a different program. As it stands right now, I'm paying back the student loans with interest for college classes that are useless as far as helping me get a job. As if that wasn't bad enough, the program itself was crap. They stressed one method and one method only to teach the students. I told them that it wasn't working on my students and they told me to keep doing it and it would work. It never did and I wasted so much time in my classroom trying to teach students using a method that wasn't effective for their learning. I finally switched back to using methods that were taught to me in my gen ed program at a different university and things got much better. When I dropped out of the program they told me I had five years to finish or I would have to start all over. I don't have money to go back and get a whole new degree so I guess I wasted an entire year and several thousand dollars for nothing. In all fairness, my immediate professors were super cool and they did try to work with me to help me finish the program and work around my crazy life as a single mom, but since I needed only a fraction of the credits to get an endorsement to teach something (almost anything) else, it didn't make sense to stay in the program.

Utah State is an amazing college in a small college town. The campus is clean and beautiful with lots of greenery and open fields. The traditions here are so fun and get you involved. The only thing this town is missing is a Chipolte and a Target. GO AGGIES!

Dusty Haws

Love USU! The campus is beautiful and the sporting events are a blast. Best school in Utah. Go Aggies!

Michael Hatch

Nice people in a safe town. No complaints come to mind after spending three years here. Good education for the most part and didn't seem overpriced.

Brooke Wayment

Love Utah State University and my college experience here!

Lots of Mormons, the culture is a bit annoying. I made plenty of friends that would go drink or party but they're in the minority. There are cool Mormons as well but a ton of VERY conservative almost weirdos, the ones that couldn't get into BYU. The school has some good programs but it is pretty lack luster in many areas. If you're looking for something excellent, there are only a handful of programs that would fit that bill. The campus is far enough away from many students for them to stay home on weekends, but close enough that a large amount drive down. If you're gone, then you don't get the fun part of college, only the miserable homework part. In short, you are able to find a good education and fun here but it isn't the norm for a lot of people. If you want excellence in either of those categories, look elsewhere. There are pockets of it though so if you must go to USU, you do have the opportunity to get the best of both worlds, it is just difficult to find sometimes.

Amazing campus. Fun, education, food, and friends all wrapped under one beautiful Cache Valley skyline. Come here if you want to progress.

Keri Ponting

Very disappointed in a school that does not help it's own students. By it's own admission on their website they accept everyone but only 3% who apply but in accepting all these students to gain their money they don't even make sure that even basic needs for an incoming student is provided like enough housing or even parking. The shortage of housing verses students is ridiculous and even more ridiculous is that when they know there is an issue of overnight parking that they keep their parking lots closed to the very students they lured to their school making their lives miserable when they can easily help. They are quick to point fingers and claim it's not their problem. So thanks Utah State for being so good to your students. I would recommend to anyone considering this school to re-think if this is how they treat students.

Go Aggies!

Andrew Steinicke

Loved all four years I spent here. Great professors for the most part and just a solid community.

Brad

Decent education, but good freakin' luck getting help with registration, scholarships, etc. No one will even answer the phone. 20,000 students on campus and they apparently can't pay them $8.00 per hour to answer the phone and try to help callers. This is despite paying over $500 per semester in student fees. As a high school career guidance counselor, USU is dropping off my suggestion list. And I'm an alum!

DJ James

Does a good job suckin you dry through all the useless required courses that are required under the guise of "expanding your horizons". As a pilot I have to take a class on how people dress? Really? Would have never gone to college if I had known.

McKenzie Williams

Great college! Good atmosphere and amazing professors that really want to help you succeed.

Brandon Todd

I am currently a sophomore at Utah State and have been more then happy with the school. I have seen a few bad reviews on here and all the complaints sound like immature children who aren't responsible enough to be adults. Every staff member I've dealt with is kind and knowledgeable. I have had wonderful help with my academic skills from the Student Support Services. I changed majors a lot and struggled for a while but was helped the whole way. Not only that but my wife and I have been able to pay cash up front for me to finish and almost payed off all her student loans. When I graduate I will be debt free and able to earn a very decent living for my family. I once thought about transferring to another school and told one of my professors. He got almost all his associates in the program to convince me to stay and show that I was wanted and my success there mattered. With all these good things going it hasn't been perfect. I do think too much money is spent on the sports programs... but what University isn't that way. None would be financially stable without sports investors... which is society's problem not the university's. So I feel that any of these drastic complaints come from people who just haven't grown up enough to take responsibility for their actions. Utah State is a Grade A University that has always been highly influential in U.S. History. Take the time to give it the chance it deserves. And you won't have to go into a crap-load of debt to do so if you are smart.!

Jacob Strong

Great learning environment. I have loved all my time here!

adam johnson

Great place to learn!

Cameron Taylor

Great school. great people. Fun atmosphere. Good education. Good Location.

Kyle Neuberger

Friends, community and fun create a foundation for learning and camaraderie like no where else. Built on a beautiful mountain side, this University is a hidden gem.

Cameron Grant

Love this University. I got a great education from the College of Engineering and I loved living in Logan. I would recommend this school to anyone

Lyn Bru

Great campus! Great professors! Excellent learning environment! If you go to college to screw around, this isn't the school for You!

Jaycie Martini

Got my Bachelor's Degree here. Really loved my program (communications) and all the professors I worked with. Small class sizes and professors who care.

Benny Varghese

Beautiful campus set in a quiet town with tons of outdoor stuff to do.

CYQ776

Lower graduation rates, inneficient student services, outrageous parking, poor job placement percentage, non competitive academic standing, terrible university personnel compensation, massive class sizes, school loans keep me from anything else.

Klay Jones

I love USU. It really helps to make Logan great. They provide quality education, and are always making changes around campus to improve the students' experience.

Christopher Williams

Aggies! A beautiful campus tucked up in the mountains. There are trees everywhere and open fields to play sports or lounge around on a nice warm day. There are a lot of events going on campus wide to keep you busy. What is really great is how the entire community rallies around the university. It is a very unique dynamic and very very fun!

Marc Fuentes

Inexpensive, no weird honor code, and decent diversity for being in Utah. Great programs all around, especially in elementary and secondary education programs, accounting, engineering, agricultural science, veterinary science, natural & wildlife resources, business, and family life sciences. School spirit is very strong and there are great and many opportunities to be successful academically and professionally. The virtually-on-campus LDS Institute is the oldest in the church educational system with excellent instructors and activities if you're a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Top notch school over all.

Jingjing Wang

love there. Friendly people, nice environment.

Alex Salsberry

Utah State University combines the best in education, events and student life. The professors are knowledgeable and helpful. The town of Logan is the ideal college town because there's always something going on, making it incredibly easy to get to know new people daily! Loved my time here!

Joshua Larkin

Great university and wonderful professors. Also have a great engineering program, and lots of social events and activities for students to get involved.

Tyler Gregerson

You get out of it what you put in. I had the best college experience ever here and loved every moment of it.

kb41

I agree with the administration being rude and unhelpful. I thought my professors were all pretty good though. The town was awful. I went to school with my wife in Logan for 4 years and we moved out of state the day after graduation and got great jobs within a month. I'd say the school was so-so. The only thing I miss about Logan, UT is the Tandoori Oven indian restaurant.

Nikhil Math

Good place to be, I’m in the business building right now. Teachers very friendly. And would recommend coming here if you need to go to college for the career you want. Or even if you just want to learn. Come on over and take a free tour of the place.

Joshua Jones

While a university is never perfect. I could see that Utah State kept trying to improve and bring new and great facilities for the students. Overall my experience here was great.

Spring ChinaSpring

USU is really amazing. I feel lucky I can study and live here. I pretty love it.

Dallin & Nikki Johnson

AMAZING place to go for a solid education. The teachers here are extraordinary.

Cody Simonsen

Nice facilities but the staff leave something to be desired. Can't speak to the faculty. We reserved a building to use for a community event and they said it would be ready. We arrived and that was not the case. They had to send security to come unlock the building. It apparently, "was on the calendar, we just missed it..." I hope they forget to look at cars that don't have parking passes!

Brady Dalton

At a new college now getting a Pharmacy Degree and I miss USU every single day. Best years of my life were at that school.

Ghost Bro

Nice campus very friendly aymosphere seems genuine I hope it stays that way. Outdoor activities college; is always a plus, join clubs too meet social activities.
