Nothing's but great things for us at this school. I love that the staff gets to really know your kids and their name. Everybody knows my daughter and she loves it there. Great things about Ms. Lovatto. She's always in the know of everything going on and has a great relationship with each kid.. kudos to all the staff!!!

The principle at this school is a bully, so I can see where the other reviews are coming from, My granddaughter is in special needs, and they do everything possible to make school a bad experience. She speaks to parents in a rude disrespectful way. We had the same lease as last year, which is a month to month, and she made my daughter go to landlord and have a new lease drawn up before she would let my granddaughter go to class. Why? It was a legal binding lease. I dread this coming year, to have to deal with her. I do want to say the teachers are wonderful and caring, they make it worth the effort. This principle is horrible and needs to be replaced,

Rogers is a great school. I've got a chance to volunteer and attend to several meetings and I can see that they have the children's best interest at heart. My son's teachers Ms. Meakin and Ms. Flores are great! They really teach those kiddos to be the best they can be.. We love Rogers!

Both of my kids went there several years. I never had one complaint. All of the teachers and staff there were very hard working, professional, and attentive to my children, and patient even when my kids were not the best behaved kids in the class. I believe Dan D. Rogers is ran by strong, fair, and dedicated individuals all deeply caring and devoted to teaching and nurturing Dallas kids.

This is not the school u want to enroll ur child in, I agree with the comments about the principal being rude, disrespectful and a bully! My child was enrolled in this school for only 8days because that's all I needed to realize that this school was not for my child! I'm sure there are "some" good teachers there but staying at this school, teaching and protecting under this principle can only mean ur headed down a bad road! Besides all of that, in short 8days, I seen so many bad habits this school has such as....in the a.m. 5th graders and unmarked staff members opening the car door and taking ur child out to be taking in to the school (how do the parents know these individuals are staff members) to be honest with you, I wouldn't have given them 1star but it's the only way to comment. Be very careful when checking this school out though, it will seem okay at first and the principal will seem very nice but it's all an act ((((((BEWARE))))))

I went to my little sister's award ceremony and the principal, Lisa Lovato, was really rude! She did not let us enjoy the ceremony! She was trying rush through the whole thing! No clapping, no laughing, no moving, wow I felt like I was the student! If she is like that with parents, I can only imagine how she is with the students. At the end of the award ceremony, she told all the students to go back to their class and told parents they had to leave. She was just really rude! She should not be working in an elementary school, she should be working as a correction officer in prison with an attitude like that!

My son has been attending Dan D Rodgers since pre K ,I love that the teachers push him to do his best. Mrs. Lovato and Ms.Bell are great principles.

Dan D Rogers Principal Ms. Lisa Lovato she is very awesome, understanding and caring person. Thank you for all that you have done for my son. I really like what you have done with the school having chaperones to watch over the kids when there being dropped off. This makes me feel my son is in a safe environment. I'm looking forward to continue having my son attend Dan D rogers until his elementary graduation. I appreciate all that you have done.

So I don't understand the bad reviews. People just go threw life feeling like they're important and need special treatment. Anyways both my daughters attend here the teachers are awsome and Mrs. Bell Mrs.Lovatto and Mrs. Juneau are the best they go above and beyond with the kids. I always see her involved in the kids. They do push them to do their best. My daughter is struggling with her learning they've helped me so much to get her the help she needs

My experience with this school had been HORRIBLE! My daughter was constantly bullied by the same kid for 2 years and nothing was ever done! They finally removed this kid from her class after 2 years of bullying. My other daughter was being touched inappropriately by another student. These kids have issues with exposing themselves and even looking at dirty things on the computers. The principal and vice principal blame the other children and also punish them for ANOTHER CHILDS ACTIONS! Makes no sense. The principal is very unprofessional and rude. On Wednesday may 31,2017 my husband witnessed her screaming at the top of her lungs at her staff because they got her food order wrong! In front of other parents and children. Do not send your kids here please! The teachers are constantly on their phones and takIng selfies. I witnessed a male teacher sneak behind a student who was talking and screamed at this kid "WHY ARE YOU TALKING!!??" scaring that poor kid! That's not how you address a child! Let me tell you if that would have been my kids he would have gotten his ass kicked! Out of all the time my daughter had been bullied the one time she stood up for herself she gets in trouble! This school is a disgrace and it's disgusting as are the people who work there!

My child has been bullied, punched in the face in the classroom, pushed down the stairs off of the bus and nothing has been done. I could very well pick up my child from the school, however, she enjoys riding the bus home. You never know when the bus is going to show up. The school bell rings at 245pm and the bus is scheduled to arrive at 310. giving less than a mile that should not be a problem. Numerous times the bus is late up to 30 minutes. On another instance after waiting at he bus stop until 415 (trying to get ahold of the school for 45 minutes) I finally reached someone who informed me that my child's bus never arrived to the school and they just found out it is running late. For over an hour I had no idea what was going on. No phone call, nothing. I would have gladly picked up my child from the school had I had known. When talking to the lady in the office with no identification, who refused to give me her name, she said "it was no big deal that parents weren't notified" Trying to work with the teachers is just a huge joke. When talking to one teacher, she laughed at the fact that I was concerned my child never had homework in her class and I never see completed class work come home. I was told if I felt she needed more development I needed to do it. My child is in the talented and gifted program, she has adequate knowledge for her age and grade, but she goes to school for a reason. The principle is disgusting the way she talks to parents and the children, and the clothing I have seen her wear to different performances is in no way appropriate for an elementary school. I can not wait to get my child out of this horrendous, unorganized school. Edit: I wanted to wait to edit this post until my daughter was out of this school forever. After his review I received a call from the principle yelling at me. She didn't like the review I left obviously. I was at work and gave her my email address and asked her to email me her concerns as I wasn't going to be yelled at especially not while I am in my place of business. She never sent an email. She did however send home a request to transfer schools with me daughter. I was at a school function with my daughter and the principal walked by and asked my daughter why she was still there, that she thought I was taking her out of that school. Completely inappropriate. I am so thankful to get my daughter out of that school and away from that negativity. I am curious as to how many others received angry phone calls after their reviews?

I do not reccomend this school. Especially for a child with special needs. Not getting into specifics about what i went through but the principle is horrible. She is rude and does not listen and seems she doesn't care what parent has to say because shes right you're wrong. I can only imagine what she puts other parents through. Cant wait for my son to be transferred to another school!!
