I pulled my kid out of this school because the administration is a bunch of dopes. They really need a new administration. My kid is in 11th grade in another school district and doing fine with an A- average and plans to attend Duke. I feel bad for those that have kids at SHS still

It seems the others posting a review are just mad, what shows is the lack of spelling. I had a great experience with the school being that I graduated in the class of 2013. The teachers here are great, the are willing to go one on one with each student to ensure that they understand. The staff is helpful to an extent, had a few bad experiences with them, but more pros than cons. The only thing I have to say that's bad about this school is how they handle certain situations. I was having a problem with a student and even warned the principal, nothing was done and when it came to a physical altercation in the school building I was the only one to get suspended. Other than that, it's a great learning environment. I'm waiting until I can go back to visit all my teachers who helped my life become a success.

Dear reader, if you are considering attending this school or making your child attend this school, I highly suggest otherwise if you have the option. The district in charge of this school, Dorchester district 2, has no idea what they're doing and their standards are awful. It's a wonder how some of my professors obtained a teaching degree in the first place; they don't have any base knowledge of the subjects they teach. They only go off of the exact information given to them by the district. I swear, they're learning the material as they read it off the power point. Worst yet, they have no control over the animals that are my fellow class mates, they have no idea how to discipline misbehaving students, only those who've done no wrong. And it's roach infested, if I could give this school 0 stars, I would.

This school was okay during my first year (2015-2016). My second year (2016-2017) was full of drama and when I went to the administrator about my problem they said that if something were to happen again and I were to stand up to the person once again that it would be considered retaliation. This school does nothing about bullying and I do not recommend it. The students here also do not keep the school clean. I have many times seen a bug crawl across the cafeteria floor before school while waiting for the bell to ring.

The school itself is not actually that big, the problem is that they have too many students, if you don't have a class to be getting to when the bell rings or if you are just a guest, beware of when the bell rings. The halls literally become just like traffic on the streets, people get stuck waiting and at times the traffic in the halls come to a standstill to where they have one big kid finally push through in order to make everyone start moving again. I personally think that if there wasn't so many kids going to this school then it would in all be a better place. I must also say that being a graduate from this school, even though i graduated from the evening school program, that it is strict. It appears as though everyone has built up stress and as a student there you feel like your being punished everyday even if you were doing what you were supposed to. But as far as the evening school program goes and some of the teachers and higher up staff, there not all too bad, theres quite a few good ones there and the evening school program is great, most amazing program for highschool graduates in my opinion.

I feel like half the poeple that gave it 5 stars were the jocks of the school who got everything handed to them. This places smells bad, some teachers are ok but there are too many that are asses and or can"t teach for the life of them. It's ok sometimes but honestly I don't recommend it.And personally, every day feels like a friday bc I'm so happy when I leave. Like I never liked school but I never hated it this much....

Seems to me it's a horrible school.Had been trying to get back in school and they lost all my paperwork after it took them 2 months to call back. I put effort up but they haven't even tried to help me get in. Basically I feel like this school would rather see drops outs then hard working citizen's. So my advice to any teen attempting to go back to school is summerville is not the place.

this is my first year here so i dont know; I've seen the reviews and only half of them came true after being here. Like some teachers cant teach as well as the others, but its fun. It really depends on how u look at the school and at the other students and who u make friends with. If u make bad friends they will make u feel down and get into drama, but if u make good friends then you would have a fun time. It really depends on who u are. Like im asian sms I like Pie

i got expelled from here. while farrel was investigating me he tried to blame another persons death on me. they also broke several laws during my expulsion. parents, don’t send your kids here. i’m being serious. when we tried to show the school proof of what happened they denied us, when we showed them the threats students were giving me, no action was taken. be safe and just don’t go here.

this school is horrid, the school is very biased with students, admininstrators are slack and do not actually care about students well being, the SROS never do their job, half the teacher make students sexually uncomfortable, the principle just started caring about students because of a school shooting, therers roaches all over the schools, theres costant drug busts here too. Over all the school is awful and as a student here i DO NOT reccomend sending you children here if you actually want them to graduate high school (because out drop out rate at this school is high)

this school is ok..i think if you stay involved and surround yourself with good people, you’ll have a good experience..the worst thing is how some teachers don’t know what they are doing..the amount of work they give is excessive considering they can’t grade them on time..they don’t take the time to really make sure students understand the topic and know what’s going on..i also don’t like how many students the school has..it’s CRAZY..you can barely get through the hallways to get to class on time..but more importantly, i really recommend staying on top of your work so that you don’t fail and have multiple mental breakdowns a week:)

If someone is bullying you. The school don't care. They won't help you. If you try to fight your bully. They would try to suspend you. We had a few students take their own life. But no one care. But everyone cares now because they don't want someone to shoot us up. The food is bad. Sometimes the food isn't cooked all the way. The school have bugs. The school need to fix a lot of things. People are rude here. Please don't send your kid here.
