Certain teacher excel at their jobs. Others are lackluster. You could have the time of your life in your class and learn, or be bored to death and not understand a thing. The students are the main problem, however. Rowdy, loud, and often forgetful, it's not hard to become a teacher's favorite as long as you sit down and shut up. Nearly any substitute will provide you with a nightmare story of his/her days here. There are some pros to look forward to. The students who do well at their job are recognized, and rewarded to provide an incentive to all students to do better. While a majority of the students are unmotivated, the chunk that is dedicated will work until all is done. Overall, a decent school. There are certainly better schools out there, but if you are stuck in this area, this is the best you'll get.

I am a parent of a child attending LR. I can truly say this school will only prepare your child for nothing. All parents that have a child here please be advised to go out there, check on your child in the class, see exactly what they are doing, and the teachers. I don't doubt that there are a couple of teachers who really are doing their job, but the rest of them could care less. The children there who really do not care about their future, have damn near made the teachers conform to their way.....this is sad. I PRAY that a slew of caring people will come in and change this school, put their foot down and say no more excuses for the adults(teachers) and the children(students). No more tolerance for ignorance , and don't care attitudes, we have to do something. Parents lets help shape this school up to be what we know it can be .All school resource officers need to also keep in mind that you don't work at the jail , you are at a school , don't treat the kids like inmates, that will only make them act that way, Our kids are depending on us.
