Back to school night demonstrated the clear strengths of this unique school. I tell all my friends about my sons school and his solid learning experience both in the class and out. Thanks for helping him become a good citizen.

I tried to watch the best movie of all time “escape from pleasure planet” and the WiFi went out, this school has a terrible leadership committee, and the school is old and rickety

As a graduate and the mother of two current students, I could not be happier with the academic experience. Also a fantastic place to work!

Woodstock Academy hires teachers who bully and harass students, and even cause them to have panic attacks. The administration also does absolutely nothing about bullying problems. This year alone, 30 Brooklyn students transferred out of Woodstock Academy. These statistics solidify the consensus that something is seriously wrong at "The Academy." As if that wasn't bad enough, the campus is old and run-down and often wreaks of sewer. Most of the building are composed of gerbil hallways which make walking through the hallways the equivalent of walking down a New York City street. The school is extremely cliquey and one cannot go a single day without encountering an individual with a snobby attitude. Woodstock Academy is a school that values money and status over the well-being of its students. If you are planning to attend this school, please do your research. Attending this school will most certainly be a mistake of unfathomable proportions.Source- personal experience.

I graduated from here a while back, and at the time it wasn't terrible. I was lucky to have a good group of friend that I made, as we were all fellow nerds/outcasts. Most of them, of course, were not in my class. I will say though that I did not really make friends with too many people in my own year. Most of them were too clichey or simply saw me as too strange to associate with on more than an acquaintance basis. Keep in mind that this school is in WASP territory, so anything that's not a polo shirt and khaki shorts is seen as odd. Teachers for the most part were decent. They appreciate students who pay attention and don't text during class. As long as you show general interest and treat them like human beings you should be fine. I highly recommend joining clubs that have a class attached to them - I was in the Model UN club, and we had an Internation Relation class that was basically our study time. The art department was great when I was there. They really appreciate enthusiasm. And for Christ's sake, don't take Art 101 if you want an easy A - there are a LOT of students who really want the class to take other art classes and you're just taking up the space... If you come here ready to learn and not screw around, you should be fine. As long as you don't mind not having not a lot of close friends....

What an amazing school system. I love the school so much. The faculty and staff are some of the best there are. I really wish I could go back and do it again for them alone because they go above and beyond for every student.

The first home I ever knew. First welcoming (lgbtqa+) community I ever knew. Absolutely amazing selection of classes and culinary selection for lunches. I met a few life-changing teachers obv hs are tough years but if give anything to go back and apply myself fully. Best years of my life. Choose WA- best choice you'll make for your child

My three sisters and I visited the Academy and received escorted tours. A slight disclaimer as Henry Chandler Bowen was our GGG Uncle and he was one of the great patrons of the Academy in the mid 1800s. It is obviously a well run and well maintained public/private high school with a great facilities. We had our photo taken in front of the Bowen Building. it was a great thrill for us to see this Academy and get a tour.
