this place is definitely better than middle school

i am a current sophomore at this school. im going to give an honest overview of the school. the teachers are absolutely great. i have yet to have a problem with a teacher. the music, theatre, and art classes are top-notch. i only mention those three because the school is best known for those classes. thats one of the only positive things i can say about this school. the other students here? awful. the bullies outnumber the nice kids by a lot. i have been threatened, yelled at, ridiculed, insulted, and even beaten up since i started the 2014-15 year. theres at least 5 fights a month. i saw 4 last week. it gets worse as time goes on. and security at the school is a mixed blessing. they break up the fights, but then the victim gets into as much trouble as the bully. ive seen and heard of some awful things happen here. at one point, a senior threatened to shoot a teacher for taking away his e-cigarette. at another time, a bully stuck a pencil underneath his victim as he sat down at lunch. i kid you not, the victim was sent to the hospital with a pencil in his buttcheek. it is scary to go here. theres also racism, sexism, and other hatred daily. im sure i will get bullied for making this post, i may even get in trouble with faculty for making this post. and making the school look bad. but i just want to warn the parents considering bringing their teens into this school. it has many awesome teachers, but many students are rude, disrespectful, and violent. i just want to get that message out there , and its at my own risk. thank you for reading.

I graduated from North Penn way back in 1985. I moved around a lot so I attended many schools both public and private. Out of all of the schools that I attended North Penn was the best one by far.

My experience at this school has been fantastic so far. Every one of my teachers have been very nice and. helpful. This school has an outstanding arts program with a top of the line TV studio. There are a multitude of clubs which makes finding something of interest and getting involved incredibly easy.

I attended here for 10th through 12th grade. I was class of 2007. This was the best school that I attended. I wasn't bullied by anyone. There were kids that got drove me crazy from time to time. But nothing major. My teachers were all very pleasant. They didn't overload my class with work and homework. The best teachers that I had was my aquatic teacher in 10th grade. I was terrified of the class, but the teacher was there for me. He did everything he could possibly do to get me through the course. I was able to pass the class at the end. I wouldn't have graduated if it wasn't for him. The next year in 11th grade I was struggling in math. The teacher met with me and he helped through the work. He even gave up his prep period to get me through what I was struggling on when I was in study hall. Another great teacher. Yeah I would highly recommend parents to move to North Penn school district to send their kids to North Penn High.

I began the best years of my young life at North Penn High School in January 1964. I was made to feel welcomed and a part of that particular group of people known as the "Class of 1966". I was never popular or in the special "clicks" but I was a member of the class of "66". As I look back today, 52 years later, I remember the school layout, the graduation on the football field, dating Paul "Moose" McGuiigan, Terry Lewis, my best friends Diane Bennett and Sandra Hill. Couldn't have never asked for more than what I received at NPHS. My maiden name is Di'ana McCowan and proud to be a Knight. Thank you
