This school has some great faculty and staff, and some terrible ones too. They strive to help successful students get college credits while in high school (for free), up to the point of earning your Associates degree upon graduation! Overall a pretty good school.

I have told of rumors about former students that are recovering from years of abuse from this school, One of the rumors was forced drugging by the coos county mental health system that is now facing a class action law suit.

I am getting ready to finish up my Junior year and dive head first into my senior year at NBHS. When I started my Freshman year I struggled socially and academically, a huge part of that was being out of school for an extended period of time for medical reasons. When I started my Freshman year I had the mentality of 'just getting by' with my math credits, just meeting graduation requirements and being done with it. A normal path for mathematics in high school is Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2. I took Algebra 1 my Freshman year and I struggled, so for my Sophomore year I was placed in Integrated 2, a mix of Algebra 1 and geometry, and this year, my Junior year, I was placed in Integrated 3, a mix of geometry and Algebra 2, after this year I will have all the math credits required for graduation, but due in huge part to the unwaivering dedication of my teachers my mentality about math has changed and I plan on taking Algebra 2 my Senior year. I will be forever grateful that I get to call NBHS my high school, because it changed my life. I now hope to one day teach physical education at the high school level, once again due to a teacher who took the time to teach me what he knows and show me to love P.E. In short, if you want your child to attend a school with teachers who really care about them and their futures, with extracurricular teams that absolutely shine (Foot ball state champs, band 4 year reigning state champs and, not state champs, but I am rather partial to the track team.) North Bend High School is the school for you. We truly are the best in the west.
