My son is about to finish his second year at WCDS. We could not be happier and neither could he.

We have been Westchester parents since August and could not be happier. The staff is very attentive to our daughter's needs. The "extra" activities like Big Cat/Lil Cat Cheer and babysitting services on day's off to help the seniors raise money are fantastic. We can tell she is learning and growing like she should and could not ask for anything more in a school.

The campus is beautiful, and they really are serious about educating students!

Nice private school option if you would rather your child not go to Davidson County or Randolph County school. Fast paced approach to learning with tutoring to help your childs success.

Really astonishing family-like environment. If you come to any events at the school you'll see how the children interact with all ages including adults and it is truly remarkable.

We did a lot of research before deciding on Westchester for our 4 kids to attend Pre-K to 12th grade. However after a tour you will know right away why we chose this school. It is truly a family. Everyone - teachers, administration and students of all grades - is happy to be there and wanting to contribute to the Westchester community. My son has only been there 2 years and literally every adult who works there and most of the students know his name. The school is very academically rigorous but places its largest emphasis on character development. I feel like my kids will be totally ready to stand out and contribute in the real world. From mentoring younger kids to community service to public speaking to endless extra curricular opportunities to group projects, even to expanding young kids' food pallets ... all the right things are emphasized. Even the moms have fun moms nights out that deepen the relationships! And it's affordable! Much less than other area schools we considered ... including sibling discounts! Just tour and you will see!!

My children have both attended Westchester for the past three years, after switching from public school. I can honestly say there is a world of difference between their former school and Westchester. One thing that stands out the most is the wonderful sense community we feel at Westchester. My children are supported and nurtured by teachers, administrators, and fellow parents, allowing the Westchester community to truly feel like one big family. The curriculum is challenging, and my children are given all of the tools they need to succeed. We discovered that my daughter has a learning disorder (was not identified at her former school), and thankfully Westchester offers an on-site tutor who helps her several times a week; the result: she continues to make straight A's. Had her disorder not been identified, I fear she might have fallen through the cracks and be struggling in public school right now, but because of Westchester's small class size, and how well the teachers know (and love) their students, she is thriving. I wholeheartedly recommend Westchester Country Day School to anyone questioning where to send their child. My husband and I are so glad that our kids attend this school and believe that the experiences and education they are receiving is worth every penny.

We have enjoyed a 16-year experience with this school. Our 3 children (2 graduates and 1 current high schooler) have all attended since K. Each child has been challenged academically, mentored and molded by attentive teachers and coaches, and pushed to stretch himself/herself inside and outside of the classroom. We highly recommend Westchester!
