My daughter entered Veritas last year, in 5th grade. She has been challenged by the academic expectations (which I appreciate) and welcomed into the Veritas family. Her teachers have been wonderful, caring not only about grades but also about the students. My daughter's art teacher was incredible last year, and this year she is enjoying a drama elective. There are opportunities for participation in sports starting in middle school, including tennis, soccer, basketball & volleyball. The school really does have a family feel, in part because the administration is careful with the admissions process. The parents and staff are NOT all Baptists (maybe not even 50%) -- but we do all hold to "Mere Christianity," to use C.S. Lewis' phrase. We are excited about our son beginning at Veritas next year, and highly recommend this school to those who value an excellent Christian education in a loving atmosphere.

I am reading reviews for this school. I am impressed that this Principle is sticking with Christian Doctrine and Values. I would wonder why non-Christian folks would want to confuse their children by learning one faith at school and living another at home? The simple fact is, Mormons do not believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God or God in flesh. Infact, they believe quite the opposite. Mormons can not be CHRISTians and Mormon. It simply is not possible. I do know that as a Christian that I would love it if it could be, because Jesus the Christ and other Christians would love for you to know Jesus in your heart, love Him and dedicate your lives to Him and Him alone. He came specifically to redeem you and love you. John 3:16 explains it perfectly. And, the same goes for the Buddist family, if you are Christian then why not be dedicated, why dabble in other religions? Truth is, Jesus is about relationship. He craves your love, time and deication. He simply hated Religion! And, proved it. He redeemed the world with His life, blood. He defeated the grave, He rose again and He lives. He reigns over all. He invites All. If we choose to reject Him, we choose that ourselves. I would consider this Christian School, if for no other reason, because they are true to their doctrine of their faith in Jesus Christ alone. That is not mean spirited, it is dedicated to the one True God. Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth and the life and noone can get to the Father except through me' John 14:6. That means no religion will get you to Heaven, it is trust in Jesus alone that does that. Either one believes that wholly or not at all. There are no in betweens. To deny this is to call Jesus Christ a Liar. And, He was not. Perhaps, the policy could change so that the $150.00 admission fee is waived, if the school is not a good fit? I am not privy of that process, but other then that, I see nothing that was done wrong. I see honesty and truth and prayer key. I don't see any other way to operate as a Christian, even if those that don't practice Christianity don't agree. The Mormon Church certainly has many rules, as do the Jehovah Witness Religion, certainly the Islam Religion and the Catholic Religion too, etc...If one wanted to attend one of their schools, there would surely be a protocol. I wish we all were followers of Jesus Christ and taught that to our children exclusively, but that day is not here yet. I hope this is accepted in the Spirit in which I intended it. I am not affiliated with this school or anyone there. I found it on a search for someone else and was shocked to see these things in the reviews. I felt compelled to write my own review as a Dedicated Jesus Christ follower and not as a follower of any sect of religion. Christians get a bad rap, because our Lord teaches peace, forgiveness, love. We try to be these things. But, Jesus also taught us to stand for and with Him alone. Not to do this would be Hypocritical, not the other way around.

My child graduated from Veritas and he and we loved our experience and cannot say enough about the wonderful staff and exceptional education my son received. We had been with the public school system for many years and after switching to Veritas, we saw so much improvement on many levels with our son. He has Mild-Autism and the School-Within-A-School was tremendous in helping him to grow educationally and socially and he was able to mainstream into regular classes as he progressed each year. We had a new son when he graduated. He is now attending College and have had so many compliments as to the young man he has become since attending this school. Thank you Veritas for your Many Lifetime gifts!

Having had one child graduate from Veritas and successful in college and one still at Veritas, I can say without a doubt that I cannot imagine educating my children anywhere else. It is a nondenominational Christian school with strong academics, and BOTH aspects of that combination are important to my family. Elementary classes are designed to follow a child's natural developmental progression. High school courses are college prep (including AP options) and prepare students well for college and beyond. The teachers and staff are Christians who love what they do, love the students they work with, and believe in what Veritas is all about. What the disgruntled reviewers below (Mormon and Buddhist) should understand is that students at Veritas study all world religions and worldviews in history, philosophy, and Christian studies classes. Far from trying to "shelter" students, one of the strengths of this school is educating students as to the fundamentals of other worldviews, then explaining why we, as Christians, do not believe them. In a Christian school, students will necessarily be taught that the Christian religion is true and that other religions/worldviews are untrue. This is, in part, what Christian parents pay for. This does not mean that we are not open, kind, friendly, or "accepting" of people of other religions....it just means that we think they are wrong in their religious beliefs (or unbelief, as the case may be). Frankly, I think it was kind and straightforward of the school's administration to tell you this up front rather than indoctrinate your children, leaving you to deal with the results of them being told, for 12 years, that their parents' worldviews are untrue. At any rate, I hope that your children are happy at their current schools. For those whose worldview and philosophy match the mission of the school (it is published and accessible), there is NO better place for your children.
