I am reading reviews for this school. I am impressed that this Principle is sticking with Christian Doctrine and Values. I would wonder why non-Christian folks would want to confuse their children by learning one faith at school and living another at home?
The simple fact is, Mormons do not believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God or God in flesh. Infact, they believe quite the opposite. Mormons can not be CHRISTians and Mormon. It simply is not possible. I do know that as a Christian that I would love it if it could be, because Jesus the Christ and other Christians would love for you to know Jesus in your heart, love Him and dedicate your lives to Him and Him alone. He came specifically to redeem you and love you. John 3:16 explains it perfectly.
And, the same goes for the Buddist family, if you are Christian then why not be dedicated, why dabble in other religions? Truth is, Jesus is about relationship. He craves your love, time and deication. He simply hated Religion! And, proved it. He redeemed the world with His life, blood. He defeated the grave, He rose again and He lives. He reigns over all. He invites All. If we choose to reject Him, we choose that ourselves.
I would consider this Christian School, if for no other reason, because they are true to their doctrine of their faith in Jesus Christ alone. That is not mean spirited, it is dedicated to the one True God. Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth and the life and noone can get to the Father except through me' John 14:6. That means no religion will get you to Heaven, it is trust in Jesus alone that does that. Either one believes that wholly or not at all. There are no in betweens. To deny this is to call Jesus Christ a Liar. And, He was not.
Perhaps, the policy could change so that the $150.00 admission fee is waived, if the school is not a good fit? I am not privy of that process, but other then that, I see nothing that was done wrong. I see honesty and truth and prayer key. I don't see any other way to operate as a Christian, even if those that don't practice Christianity don't agree.
The Mormon Church certainly has many rules, as do the Jehovah Witness Religion, certainly the Islam Religion and the Catholic Religion too, etc...If one wanted to attend one of their schools, there would surely be a protocol.
I wish we all were followers of Jesus Christ and taught that to our children exclusively, but that day is not here yet.
I hope this is accepted in the Spirit in which I intended it. I am not affiliated with this school or anyone there. I found it on a search for someone else and was shocked to see these things in the reviews. I felt compelled to write my own review as a Dedicated Jesus Christ follower and not as a follower of any sect of religion. Christians get a bad rap, because our Lord teaches peace, forgiveness, love. We try to be these things. But, Jesus also taught us to stand for and with Him alone. Not to do this would be Hypocritical, not the other way around.
