This school has a lot to offer. It is a great school for kids interested in technology and engineering, it also has fantastic teachers. The band and arts programs are great too so there is something for everyone. It is safe, the kids are nice, the administration is good. Kids can get involved at many levels, they can even do online classes or classes at Wake Tech for dual credit, you just have to ask. They are very accommodating. The robototics teams and academies are amazing. Also, everyone gets roles in theater, not just the top kids, the director cares about student growth so there may be more opportunity than say Enloe in that regard. There are lots of AP classes and I love block scheduling so students have more opportunity to take a greater variety of classes.

I graduated from this school in 2012. I was also a 3x varsity player for the basketball team. This school closely resembled an HBCU when I attended. You can go anywhere in the world from SRMHS.

What a joke, if you go this school you either go because you want engineering based learning otherwise it's for a ghetto school experience and I recommend switching schools

I go here currently and from my experience its not great environment classes are always loud (talkative) so its very hard to learn. I havent seen anything done to fix it and i dont think it will be fixed cause it looks like the administration doesnt know or turns a blind eye. Im sure it may have been a good school but now as it stands i find it a hard to accomplish anything here. It may just be me feeling this way but i doubt that.

These are the worst teachers in the world. They basically told my 16 year old daughter that she can drop out at her age and the ugly girls caught my baby off guard and jumped her. The school did nothing to help. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

Seldom able to speak to a counselor or administrator.There is a need to work on parent call backs. Counselors and teachers are not recognizing student needs. Band needs to be cleaned up. A lot of confusion, lack of instruction and promiscuous behavior happens. Academies are great, however! New administration is working hard to improve the culture of this school.
