Our daughter is a junior day student at SMS. The all girls community has been a perfect learning environment for our daughter. The small class sizes encourage participation in a supportive setting. The academic curriculum is challenging and our daughter has had the opportunity to take a number of AP and honors courses. As we begin the college search process, we are certain our daughter is well prepared for the next chapter in her life. Outside of academics, there are many social activities, athletic programs, clubs and volunteer service opportunities for the girls. The campus is beautiful and has a charming, small-college feel. We also love the many traditions of this 170 year-old institution!

We have been more than thrilled that our daughters were able to attend Saint Mary's School. They started at the same time; one as a Junior and the other as a Freshman. They were apart of the boarding community and made wonderful, life long friends. They received great educations; our oldest attends The University of Alabama and our senior hasn't committed to a school yet. I would highly recommend any young girl who desires a great education surrounded by a community of friends and supportive teachers to consider Saint Mary's School.

Every Saturday I am imprisoned here, forced to learn a language I don’t appreciate. It’s a nightmare! Too much homework! I hate it! The classrooms are soooo dull to! JLSR or Japanese Language School of Raleigh is the WORST school ever!

this is actually a very great school. I see some very positive experiences in these reviews. so I thought It was time I shared mine. im not a parent I am a student in 8th grade. I have adhd. it is very hard to find a high school that suits my needs, Saint marys stood out as a good choice. so I take the full day of testing, I tour the school, it seems great. my mom was even told that they could definitely work with me! we were confident this was the right school! they convinced us it was! then came the day we got an email saying that they were not accepting kids with learning disabilities into the school. no I wasn't offended that I didn't get in. but in all honestly having a learning disability already makes someone feel bad and they have enough trouble. hearing this made me wonder if they was something wrong with me. this then lead me and my family into a black whole. where the heck was I going to go to school. well we found a school an hour and a half away from my home and that will have to do for now. this seems like a great school, for people with perfect brains. sorry I this is offensive I am simply reviewing the school

Easy to see right off of Hillsborough Street servicing Raleigh and the adjoining areas of North Carolina. This is a High School for girls which also runs a program for Carolina Ballet during the summer. The facility has some Civil War era buildings which are great to look at. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Plenty of parking. We will definitely be going back.

Saint Mary's is a special place - it is steeped in history and tradition, but very forward thinking on learning, teaching and leadership for young women such as our daughter who is a boarder. She has been very challenged academically and as a result, will join the alums before her as well prepared for college and the challenges ahead. We totally believe in and chose the all girl environment because it ensures a caring atmosphere while building confidence and self-esteem - it allows her to really be herself. Likewise, the day-boarding environment is a non-factor and has been a great experience for all the students as each person brings something to the other. She is absolutely at the right school.

Absolutely awful. The show has not even begun and people are unprofessional and rude. The house in the auditorium was open and we got kicked out and sent to another building until the show began. Seats were “reserved” by scarves and pies on seats before house even was open to all of us. They should be better. Especially considering how much they charge their students to even be here.

I just confirmed my daughter to study here for next four years, because I was really impressed by its good facilities and staffs. There are some other excellent Chinese students too, which have brought very positive diversity to the school. Good luck to my daughter! Here will be her second home.
