This is a Catholic High School, but you don't have to be Catholic to go here. And it is reputed to be one of the finest schools in Oklahoma City. If you are looking for a good Christian place to place your child, a place where you know they will be taught Christian values, perhaps you should look at Bishop McGuinness.

My experience as a villain has so far been one of the greatest years of my life. As a freshman here I have been able to be involved in the school community. The community here is very kind and loving and everyone cares for each other. The education you are able to get here is amazing, as a smaller school every teacher is able to get one on one time with you if you need it. I really enjoy being a part of the Bishop family.

Bishop McGuinness is a school like no other. With rigorous classes that prepare all of its students for college, this school is academically strong in all subjects. As a student, I am challenged every day to work hard in order to succeed. Thankfully, I will be able to bring this same mindset to college while others will not have the same discipline instilled in them at the beginning of their Freshman year. Bishop has many other aspects as well. For one, our athletic program is very strong with teams competing at high standards in one of the toughest conferences in all of 1A sports in North Carolina. The sense of community at Bishop is also very strong. Opportunities to volunteer as well as engage in various hobbies are abundant at our school. This plethora of options is apparent during "Club Day", an every other week event where students can visit and participate in a number of organizations. Without a doubt, Bishop McGuinness is truly a diverse and enjoyable school.

I am currently a sophomore at Bishop McGuinness and I love it. It is a great school and I have learned so much in my two years here. The classes are a good size; small enough for all the teachers to know every student personally, but not too many students in one class. I have many friends that have graduated from Bishop and they say it thoroughly prepared them for college.

As a current senior at Bishop, I am 100% confident that I am completely ready for college next year because of the great education I have received. While I have certainly been challenged here, it has totally paid off as I have gotten into my top choices for college. The smaller class sizes allow for a great learning environment where the teachers really make their students' success their top priority. Bishop McGuinness has definitely prepared me well for the future and has taught me the study habits required to be successful in college and beyond.

I am grateful for the time I have had at Bishop McGuinness so far. This school has provided me with many opportunities to grow, not only as a student, but also as a whole, well-rounded person. As a rising senior, I feel prepared for the college application process that I will start this summer, and I also feel confident that I will have a smooth transition into college because of the way that BMHS has prepared me. The classes are appropriately challenging, the community is welcoming, the school spirit is contagious, and the taco salads are delicious. Bishop McGuinness is truly a a great place to be.

I am now in my second year at Bishop McGuinness and I have enjoyed every moment of being a villian. The teacher student ratio and the small class sizes opens the door for students for a great student teacher relationship. It is truly a family at this school and both in the classrooms and during extracurricular the kindness and unity is shared among students. I will always be happy and loved as a Bishop McGuinness villian.

This Catholic Prep High School is highly UNDERRATED. I believe Bishop McGuinness is on par with Thomas Jefferson Polytechnic High School here in Northern Virginia regarding academics. My son's freshman year at Bishop McGuinness prepared him well for a 35% increase on the PSAT 2015 and a 3.85 GPA at Bishop O'Connell. Coach Sickelbaugh ' s Wrestling Program is second to none. My son's work ethic and maturity was influenced by Coach and the late Head of School Mr. Repasse. Bishop McGuinness embodies the principal of kind mercy.

Bishop is a great place to not only make amazing friends and receive an amazing education but also straighten your faith. I started at Bishop my sophomore year and it has been one of the best decisions I have made in high school. I feel like it is really helping me prepare for college by the amount of homework we are assigned. Also because it makes us work to the best of our abilities. I really love Bishop and I'm very proud of being a Villain.

Bishop McGuinnes is the most amazing school. I have learned so much from all the fantastic teachers, and I have made some great friends at bishop. I have been able to grow in my faith, and Bishop is preparing all of their students for college perfectly. I am so happy that I was able to attend the best school.

I am currently a student at Bishop McGuinness. It is a great school. The teachers are excellent. The work is challenging but Bishop does a really good job of preparing their students for college.

Bishop Bad

Don’t believe the five star ratings on here, the student council was given an assignment and were made to write five star reviews (which is not surprising of the people on student council and the teachers who run it, and it’s probably the most productive thing they have ever done for the school) - a kid who suffered through four terrible years at this catholic school that runs on favoritism of the rich kids and their parents money

All told, a staple of going to Bishop is complaining about Bishop. While challenging, it makes college much easier. It’s the start of the semester and I’m already ahead of the curve in several classes. That’s because of this place

Academic, spiritual, and unique--these are just a few of the words that describe Bishop McGuinness. As a current Junior, I am proud to say that I have had a great high school experience thus far. The best part of the school is the teachers. They know us all on a first-name basis and understand our schedules with extracurriculars. They work with us to make sure that we understand the material and pass the class with flying colors. Not to mention that the classes to a great job in preparing us for college. The social environment at the school is also second to none. Students here get the opportunity to make friends with all kinds of people. The vast opportunities in clubs, sports, and the arts also provide us with a way to express ourselves to the best of our ability. It is the perfect place to try something new and build character. Finally, the spiritual life of the school is very beneficial to the students. We receive an in-depth understanding of the Catholic faith through our religion classes. In addition, we participate in a number of service opportunities that help with community development. These service efforts also help us develop our personalities and strive to serve others. If you want a student to get the best out of the high school experience, send them to Bishop McGuinness.

As a current junior at Bishop, I can report from firsthand experience that this school not only offers an outstanding curriculum but also the welcoming environment it promises on the website. With academics designed to challenge and grow the mind, I feel Bishop has provided me with a work ethic that I will not only carry into college but one that I will carry with me throughout my entire life. This statement has been confirmed by many of my peers who have graduated and are now sailing through college with flying colors. Just like it promotes, Bishop's definition of a college preparatory school truly speaks for itself. Additionally, Bishop's community is unmatched. It is hard not to get involved with one of the many programs that appeal to every interest. I have gotten to express myself through programs including but not limited to Key Club, cross country, and student government. These programs build leadership and promote relationships among the students here at Bishop. We encourage any prospective Bishop families to take a tour or attend one of our open houses so you can experience all of what I have reported firsthand.

Currently, I am a Junior at BMHS and I can tell you that my experience here has changed my life for the better. Not only am I consistently challenged by difficult classes but also encouraged by teachers to push myself to excel. My freshman year, I came in expecting to hate every moment of being a student at Bishop, but I soon found that I really did enjoy challenging myself, both academically and athletically. Every year I have played sports in the Fall, Winter, and Spring and I have become a leader on every team. In the 2014-2015 school year my Cross Country team won states for the third time in a row. And while doing well in sports I was also taking the most challenging classes and getting mostly A's and some B's. I have taken Classical Guitar since freshman year, and prior to that I had no musical experience but this year I am a part of the Guitar Ensemble, which is only for the most capable guitar students. Also, since last year I have been a part of Student Council, which has allowed me to get more involved in the school. Truly, your experience at Bishop depends on your work ethic alone. If you are willing to work hard and push yourself you WILL excel at anything you put your mind to. With the help and guidance of teachers you will expand your horizons and continue to go on to college and other places with the experience that you gained at Bishop. At this moment in the school year I am preparing for the AP exams and preparing to close out my third year at Bishop, and as reflect on my time at BMHS I can gladly say that it was and is the best place for me.

I am currently a freshman at bishop mcguinness, and I have two older brothers who also attend this school with me. I can honestly say that this school has provided us with the necessary work loads and class room experiences to prepare us for college and beyond. The environment is welcoming and friendly, and the teachers and staff are always open to helping a student however they can. I can honestly say that my high school experience would not be as enjoyable if I did not go to this school.

I would say it's verygood academically and if your planning on collage it's a good fit the principal is not very intune to the kids. commuting can be difficult on the highways. great v.principal. real good sports. The front office people are alittle rude at times not happy camper.

Jenny Iruela

Bishop McGuinness is a great school with a great environment. Everyone is kind and genuine and all teachers are willing to help you. As a current student I feel like I am preparing to succeed in the future by attending bishop. There are so many opportunities for students here from sports to service ministry and so much more.
