I am currently a high school senior, and despite the fact that I was very skeptical at first, I truly recommend this school for incoming immigrants. It doesn't matter if you don't speak the language, because our wonderful teachers will make sure that you will be at least fluent in a couple of months. We as New Americans work 2 times harder than Americans whom were born here. If you are an immigrant, you will receive the same opportunities Americans have, and the limit is the sky.

Como en todo, esta escuela te ofrecerá muchas oportunidades, pero debes alcanzarlas, y para eso están profesores fenomenales que al final veras, se convertirán en tus amigos. Con su diversidad te hará sentir en casa, tiene profesores que al igual que nosotros son inmigrantes, como dominicanos, ecuatorianos, colombianos, peruanos, salvadoreños, entre otros de Europa y Estados Unidos. Mas que eso, tratan siempre de involucrar a los padres para que también conozcan el sistema, ofreciendo servicios hasta para aprender el idioma. En fin, la escuela lucha bastante para ayudar a cada estudiante a hacer bien tanto social como academicamente en este nuevo país, y estar dispuestos a dejarnos guiar, hará el reto más ligero. Nota: Hay muchos consejeros, si con el que te toco no conectas, busca a los otros. En mi experiencia iba a todos para diferentes cosas. :) También puede que como inmigrantes tengas que anivelar algunos créditos, pero Enfocate y triunfaras mas rápido de lo que piensas mientras obtienes una experiencia para toda la vida. Is the best Public High School in New York State. Im a graduated student and i had the best experience ever. I came to the US and i didnt know English, thanks to Newcomers HS i learned a lot in my own language and learned English at the same time. Im a college student now and i definitely give 5 stars to NCHS. Very clean, secured and a lot of beautiful and kind people working together for the best of the students. No matter where you come from, in NCHS we are all the same.
