The experience that I obtain at Aviation High School has been priceless !!! I attended from 1967 until 1971. My life has been bless with what I learned there. I'm now retired from the IT world of computers n networks. GOD bless this school.

A great high school! I mot only aircraft mechanics but many life lessons that I still use today. I stared out as in aircraft logistics and ending up working logistics for DoD. Knowing aircraft systems and components greatly helped my success in the logistics field.

Love the school but they seriously need to revamp the school and get more money from the faa program. As seniors we dont have access to enough tools to do our jobs. Alot of us struggle to meet job deadlines due to lack of tools. Academically the school is good and the classes are easy. Mr. Jackson is a good principal and hopefully he revamps the school. Also there is no air conditioning in most classrooms so summers with 30+ kids in a class are brutal.

Individuals complaining about the school small issues and not taking into account they are getting a A&P license for free!!! Hahahaha Saving that kind of money, buy your own tools... or go to another school and pay 30k plus!!! Great school and gives you the skills to live in the real world...

In short, besides the few staff that genuinely try to better you not only as a mechanic but as a person, aviation is severely lacking. The program is EXTREMELY underfunded, and the school barely has the proper resources to prepare its students for the oral and practical exam. Lack of tools and resources to train your students rarely works out well. Also, someone needs to look into the DMEs in aviation highschool. A lot of shady business takes place behind closed doors and ultimately it only hurts the students. It has become more about making the quick money off of an applicant than anything else. But hey, when the man who oversees the entire program is part of the problem, who do you complain to? Its also sad for the dedicated shop teachers who strive everyday to keep the love for the industry alive only to be provided with barely half of the resources to teach their students unless they pay for the tools themselves. All in all, if there are not changes made i would be surprised if the aircraft maintenance program makes it another 2 years.

My son is a senior there, soon to enter 5th year program. Once he has complete it he'll have his power plant and another licence not sure I forgot sorry lol. But we absolutely loved this school. Alot of program to offer student before they graduate.

There is no other school like other. Faculty and staff are the most professional people I have ever seen. And a big congratulations to Mr. Jackson who is a wonderful teacher with integrity and leadership who I know will continue to make Aviation a great place for students to learn and be in.

Graduated 2015. Beautiful place. A vast improvement over middle school. (Mostly) Everyone from teachers to the administration cared about the students. I regret not being able to graduate with one of the A&P certifications. If you want to be AMT or into vocational education this is the PERFECT school for you. If not, its still pretty nice and safe but you'll spend a lot of hours there, more than any other public school. So take full advantage of the opportunities there if you want an unforgettable experience.

Incoming sophomore currently -Friendly staff/teachers -School environment is clean and safe, as far as I'm concerned. -It's very hot in the building, even though in all classes the windows are open, it's very hot/humid in the building, I would suggest carrying a cold water ball around the building.

Graduated 1978. Great school back then. Joined the military but went on to work in the missile field, a different kind of aerospace. When I got out of the military in 1982, the training I received from Aviation H.S. helped me land a job with an American Airline affiliate and then, along with my military experience, a job with Lockheed for the last 34 years. I couldn't have done it without the training I received at Aviation.
