Teachers like to call students liars, the teachers don't care about the Bullying and don't do anything about it. They expect the child to do homework on the internet but not everyone can afford the internet !!! The kids have NO RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY !!! Or each other. I noticed that if a child is absent a lot the school treats them like crap , ever think that maybe just maybe that student has ANXIETY or is being BULLIED or just SICK of boring classes and they don't get a break to go outside and gather their thoughts before going to another class ? They are still children and need exercise and fresh air to be able to concentrate . I never see or hear about the principal talking to the kids individually and asking them about their problems and helping them solve any problems. This is what I see and hear at this school !

I go to this school and I have noticed that the teachers do nothing about the fighting and the kids there are brats that do what they want for example I child randomly pulled the fire alarm for fun so in conclusion I honestly dislike this school

i’ve been here for three years. i’ve had good teachers, like mr maserati, emerson, mrs dangora, and seminara. i’ve also had bad teachers. and that’s from the sixth and eighth grade. i hate it here. it sucks, they don’t care about us. whether we’re good or not. we’ve lost good assistant principals because of the kids that go here. i wish it was better

The teachers just want a paycheck and the kids are brats. There have been suicide attempts, fist fights and extensive bullying issues no one does anything about. This school is in need of some serious help. There is nothing I can do about that, but consider this before moving to Rochester.

I go to this school at this time and the teachers are very disrespectful along with rude. (This goes for some of them) Half of the kids do drugs along with many fights and rude children that need to learn manners. The children along with the teachers need to learn proper English and how to deal with kids with naughty behavior and actions. The teachers insult the students and overall this place is just complete trash. Please if you are considering choosing a Middle School for a child do not pick this place.

So here’s the thing. The teachers are really Nice and are good at doing their job but some of them just do it for the money. The guidance office is also a terrible system. I had a bad problem and the guidance office said they would take care of it.its been a month. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. THEY LEFT US TO FIGURE IT OUT BY OURSELVES. Not to mention there have been countless times that we’ve had fire drills because a kid was either smoking a cigarette and threw it in the trash or something goes wrong in the kitchen.

detentions for no reason and pointless punishments. kids use illegal substances and the teachers are total idiots and give punishments for no reason. I stood up for 1 minute and got in trouble. apparently because it was a "distraction" even though i didn't do anything. a teacher said he owned the students at the red ribbon formation during red ribbon week. would not suggest for a kids "school" I heard that there were suicide attempts here and the teachers are as mean as the kids here. they are all CLODS!!!!!!!!! they all just want money and to yell at kids. don't go here, just please don't.

If you really want to know what it is like at Rochester Middle School (RMS) you should learn from a student that actually goes there. I go to RMS and I can tell you it's not a very good school and I will tell you why. There are physical fights between students almost daily. Our kids at the school are so bad that we have a recourse officer around all the time. We have our own computers at RMS but we can't even take them home like most other schools would let you because they can't trust the children. The academics are horrible there are good teachers here and there but you would be lucky to get in there classes. The rest of the teachers don't seem to know how to deal with children. Some teachers hate us and will show that they hate us by never recognizing the good and only pointing out the bad. I don't seem to learn very quikly at RMS and neither has other kids compared to other schools. We are probably have the lowest grades in NH. RMS handles bullying and troubled students horribly and nothing gets taken care of. The kids there are so immature too. The sad thing is nobody seems to be nice there I was raised and taught to be nice to everyone but it doesn't help you at RMS to be nice because everybody is mean to you in return. I really have no friends at RMS because I have a really hard time fitting in with the kids because they aren't nice to me and are ungrateful. There is drama at RMS all the time no matter what so if your child goes here they might come home crying to be honest. I really don't like the way this school treats the kids. Another thing is the kids with learning disabilities or autism , or ect. Are treated differently and you would think well ya they are because they need special help but that's not the only reason why i say this because the teachers seem to poorly judge those kinds of kids and I feel bad for them. In our school the kids are separated in teams so for example there is 4 6th grade teams (UNE, BC, FPU, NE) those teams are all separated into groups of kids there are usually 70 kids on a team and there are usually 4 teachers per team ( social studies, math, English, and science). The troubled kids get placed on a different team called Texas university and you'd think ya that's good but they may get some of the help they need I guess but it is failing them for real life and socially they are treated not as well as the others because people seem to judge the kids on that team. And another thing is that most kids at RMS take drugs and the reason I know that is because of seen and witnessed it. Also to be honest a lot of kids hide monster in there lockers and drink it between classes. These kids are out of control that's all i am saying.Rochester middle school is not a great school for your child of your child is into sports. RMS does sports but our teams are horrible we lose all the time because nobody is very dedicated. So that's all. I told you what goes on at RMS if you are a student. That's how student life at RMS is.

When they send you to the office they make you wait for 3 hours and even though i actted in self defence under a camrea the other kid got way with it and i got suspended

this school is nice the teachers teach well and are nice especially Mrs. Riordan she is my favorite. but my least favorite teacher is Mr. Ott

This school doesn't pay attention to the needs of the students. When we need help, they also seem to push us aside and either say "ignore that person" or "move on". How is this supposed to help? I, personally, was taught to show respect to the authorities of schools, but I can show respect if none of the teachers show me respect? Horrible school, won't be surprised if it gets shut down... :)

I owned a home in Rochester and sold it because this school was so poor. The fact that other home owners call this school "Gen-pop" says it all. I do not think I have heard one parent say anything positive about this school. I have an autistic child. This school and this district did nothing but lie, and cheat my son away from getting the help he needed. I had to be at this school every couple of months to make these teachers comply with his 504 plan which is a legal contract. They also told me if we implemented an IEP he would not relieve a diploma, I have since found this to be a complete lie. When I caught staff members in a lie, I was yelled at and degraded by male teachers. I have since moved. The new school guidance and 504 coordinator let me know that everything in my son's file was illegal and done completely wrong for a 504 student. We are also seeking out IEP and he WILL receive a diploma and go to college with IEP. Think twice before buying a home in Rochester with schools like this one!
