Love this school. They really care about the students. Every school is not for everyone. Academics are important and Viz strives to have girls be well rounded. Faculty and staff care about student and look out for them. I have worked here for 18+years and still love it.

Best all-girls school in Saint Louis. Focus on education but they also have solid athletics.

We shopped around exhaustively for schools and this one had was "hands down" tops for academics. The (surprisingly) best part however was the kindness we were shown which was unique to Visitation. .

I give two starts because The STEM program is pretty good and there’s a handful of nice families at Visitation. At Viz the student body and success is all because of legacy; at least at the lower school and middle school level. Hence, they have decent students because their parents push them to go to the same school they graduated from and hold them to competitive standards. However, teachers punish young children who take longer times to complete their work by making them miss specials...What a way to get a child to hate school. Not to mention the core of the learning day is mostly completing the same workbooks and cutting out and stapling printed sheets. They can do that anywhere. My daughter went to a wonderful early childhood center and pretty much started hating school when she went to Viz. Leadership is uncooperative and do not give a poop if your kid stays or leaves their school. A chunk of the teachers feel like they are supreme to parents and 50% of the girls there are stressed out. I even saw two high school girls smoking vapor cigarettes in their luxury car as soon as school let out. This school is a little costly but far from “state of the art” as far as the facility. It’s a clean and well kept school but nothing special. It lacks diversity except for a small Indian population, no wonder why their ACT scores are a few points higher than other leading Catholic schools...The visual arts are mediocre, music is fairly low quality and the athletics are so and so. Save yourself the money by hiring an ACT tutor and put your child in PSR or a local parish etc. If you’re looking for exceptional high quality check Oak Hill, MICDS etc. I’m sure they will turn out equivalent or even a far more well rounded student. There are a few groups of very nice girls at the school but some snobby ones too. All in all Viz isn’t wasn’t worth the stress.
