We have been a member of Rosemount community for 8 years. ISD196 is amazing. Rosemount HS offers a well rounded education in the Arts, Academics and Athletics. The faculty is very genuine and works to help each student succeed. In total we will have had 4 of our children graduate from RHS. We would highly recommend RHS!

My 3 sons attended and graduated from RHS with honors. They got the best possible public education available. They had opportunities to take College in the Schools classes for college credit and take all the AP courses they wanted to take. With that, they learned a world language (French), participated in several sports, and made many friends. They are successful adults in well-paying careers. Furthermore, I taught at this school almost 10 years, and loved the school, the faculty, the administration so much that I am back to teach there full time from this year on. This is a testament to how committed the RHS staff is to make the school a great place for kids and adults.

Graduated im 2015, decided now to come back and give it some love on Google. I had some great teachers and made great friends, and the building itself is fairly nice. People who say "I didn't go here, but..." literally dont know what they're talking about, so pay no mind to their reviews

I like this school. Don't listen to that guy up there. We have a 4 level school with a new student center added. We have languages Mandarin Chinese, German, Spanish , and French. The student council is very involved in the school and are constantly making improvements. Our marching band is superior and will be performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Gov. Mark Dayton has declared a day for our school and has told us himself we are one of the best in the state. Rosemount is an excellent school.

A place I will always call home. Aging facilities are made up for by the some of the best faculty in the nation. Excellence in academics, arts, and athletics. AP and honors opportunities are top notch. Teachers and coaches care about students and are elite in what they do. If you walk away from Rosemount without a deep sense of Irish pride then you did something wrong. Anyone who went to Rosemount and worked hard to get an education will love that old building more than imaginable. Go Irish

Great academics in all subjects. The band is one of the best in the nation, the sport teams are always doing great, and teachers are, for the most part, good. We also have numerous students that are in Honors/AP classes as well. I would send a child here in a heart beat. The whole "the school looks like a jail" part in Goat Kiddie's review is quite inaccurate. It is not a one story, grey building. It is a three story white building. I doubt Goat Kiddie has ever stepped foot into the building.

I don't go to Rosemount, but coming from a school that competes against it, I can tell you a few things. 1. They are mostly brawn and not brains. Their school sports teams are AMAZING (at least the varsity teams), but in their MCA scores they have consistently come in the last couple of spots. Let's be honest here, we send our kids to LEARN, not to get buff. 2. I've been to their school to take the ACT, and it looks like jail. I'm not joking. Look at the building! It's one story high and entirely gray! School should not look like jail, right? I feel that this may impact how the children learn. The inside is better, but still fairly depressing. 3. This last one is entirely speculation, but I noticed that even though their Varsity sports teams are above and beyond, some of their Junior Varsity teams are rather lacking, at least the ones I've faced off against. Are they getting the attention they deserve? Are the coaches also paying attention to the students not in the spot-light? I do not know. In conclusion, if you want your children to actually learn, but stay in district 196, I suggest going to Eagan or Eastview High School, who have battled for the top two spots in most of the MCA subjects, and also have very interactive and fun sports and arts departments.

It seems that most of the negative reviews are from people that don't even attend Rosemount High School. Hm. Well as a student, I love the school. The environment is fairly friendly.

Everyone needs to chill about the pep fest, it was a big prank that later was exposed, however ignorant people gave our school one star because of it. "This school supports public humiliation"... Please stop right there. You probably just watched the video on YouTube, and decided to write a terrible review because you have no life. For all we know "A Google User", you could be in Arizona, Florida, etc. Rosemount is a great school, and unfortunately its reputation has been hit hard by the pep fest, but IT WAS A JOKE. Seriously people relax. Been going to this school for 4 years, and I've loved almost every minute of it. Great teachers, great athletics, and great education.
