BEST SCHOOL IN THE WORLD FOR BING KIDS

My 11 year-old son has been a student at Perkins since he was 6 months old and entered the Infant-Toddler program. He went through Infant-Toddler, Preschool, and has now been a Lower School student for a number of years. We could not possibly be happier with the program, the facilities, the expertise, and most importantly the Love he has received at this world-class institution.

Honestly this is a review of their adaptive playground, which is AMAZING. We've been to several in different states and this was one of the best. The accessible merry go round, that my son would go into in his wheelchair made me super happy. It was the first playground I've been to that had the restraints attached to the adaptive swings, so that was new and really nice. They had lovely grounds and the xylophones were cool to play with. My son loved touching the Braille. Seriously, one of the best parks we've been to and I usually hate going to parks because while some say they're accessible, they really aren't. This one actually is!

Excellent organization with a wonderful history I rate this four stars because I’m not sure if deaf and blind program still has high expectations Helen Keller ended up being really successful and got a college degree and I’m not sure if that’s expected at least for the deaf blind program otherwise I would have put a five star rating as this has always been a great organization and have had many memories here I was never a student as the state would never have funded it but I’ve been to many different weekends and events and can say this is a school that respects the blind and multiple disabilities as well and is very inclusive glad to see them investing in transition programs and public school services

Finally my teacher began teaching me to read. I first read raised letters and later on read with Braille. I learnt to write With both ordinary as well as Braille type writer. I was well on my path to becoming a well educated person. I was provided all the possible opportunities to develop my abilities and I made the maximum use of them. ' I developed great confidence and I even visited the president, Cleveland at the White Hoflse. . In118901 at the age of about ten, I moved to the Perkins Institution. Here my teacher Anne Sullivan continued to teach me. I could make friends with other blind children here. My loneliness began to disappear and my progress of learning improved quite well. I learnt Latin, German and arithmet'c. In 1896, I moved onto the Cambridge School for Young Ladies in Massachusetts. This was really a great achievement for a lady like me who was blind, deaf and could barely produce sounds for communication. I began writing poems and stories. Shortly before my examination, I lost my father. Although

As a worker I might not work directly with the kids but I can see how well cared for. The staff are truly the best. And I as a worker feel very appreciated safe, and always happy to be apart of that school. I would rather no other way!!
