I am currently a Senior at Lexington Catholic and have attended this school for all four years. I can confidently say that this school is none of the negative comments which other people have said it is. This school is wonderful. Academically, LC really does strive to prepare you for college and challenge you through their classes so you are ahead of the game. The teachers are always there for anything you may need, and we even have programs in place, such as High Marks, that specialize in helping kids like myself with learning disabilities. I have never once felt afraid to reach out to the faculty if I felt there was an issue that needed to be addressed, such as bullying.
The student body at LC is, for the most part, a good group of kids. Of course, there is always a handful of students who want to cause trouble. But that is to be expected from any school. A large majority of our students participate in service activities, and complete a great deal of service hours by the time they graduate; some have even gone beyond the required amount before the end of their Freshman year. I also do not believe that this school has defined "cliques". There are kids who are probably more attracted to sports than the arts, but overall it does not feel like these groups are separated. I, myself, am very inclined towards theater and choir, but I also am the founder of the first ever Archery team here at Lexington Catholic.
Finally, LC is very accepting of everybody's differences. We are a very diverse school, and I am proud to say that I have made many friends here through our international program. We also have clubs made by students which invite students to come together as a community and learn more about each other, such as our Diversity Club and UKnighted Club.
I hope this review was an eye-opener to how wonderful Lexington Catholic really is. To any prospective parents or students, I recommend you come to this school. I promise you will have an experience that is both academically, socially, and spiritually fulfilling. Thank you.
