This school and the school system is one of the worst i have dealt with. I am a junior and have been to 8 different schools and 4 different counties since the first grade, and i have never been so disgusted with the staff at the school. Now there are some good teachers but the majority of the teachers are either rude, don't care, or just do not know how to teach the kids. The edgenuity program is a good program. If we fail a test we can re-take a lesson on edgenuity and i really do like that, but once a week going into a lab to do edgenuity and missing a day of class? It would be different if we were learning the exact same thing in edgenuity, but we're not. Its either a lesson ahead or behind of where we are in class and you could say that it just prepares us for our class, but in all reality it just impedes my learning. It throws me off of what we are doing in class.

Personally; I moved from what I considered to be a horrid school district in Tennessee, and upon arrival I had high hopes for East High. Keep in mind, I am a senior, I graduate this december, an early graduate. And I have a few shot nerves about this school. For one. The counselors in the office have no respect for the students. I went in with a serious issue, that involved financial issues. Not once did the lady working the desk even look up to properly address me and my situation. Nor did she help solve the problem. Another thing that has me nerved about the school is the lack of overall disrespect. This goes for both students and the teachers. Along with the edgenuity issue. Yes it is a great program. But do you really need to give referrals to students whom are looking at their feet? I dont think so. Not to mention that classrooms are over-run with kids. And many of the students get kicked from those course, and are even put into courses they do not need, already had, or just stuck in the hall. I transferred here with 23/26 credits, and they tried sticking me back in classes I had already passed. You would think as a school. Seniors would have first priority to classes they need to graduate.
