Now being here since 7th grade and now i'm a sophmore , I have seen peace i the school barried inside all the negativity. So i have decided to stay at this school that lacks leadership and lead by example.Im going to change this school if it is the last thing i do!

They dont deserve any stars! Horrible school, staff is VERY unprofessional!!! They never answer the phones or they leave you on hold! Ive been calling for 3 hours with no answer. The bus never came to pick up the kids this morning. They had to walk home from school cause they didnt have a bus available!!!

Jesus Christ talk about a playground this school is stupid just like GWCHS they smoke and fight and talk back and spend time on Snapchat this is not a school it's a playground 12th graders ran back and fourth on the last day yelling at the top of there lungs like who does that i remember there was like 50 black kids in the hallway fighting what the hell keep this school for the retardeds

If I could I would have put ZERO stars. I have been at this school since 9th grade as the years went on the school slowly got worse. The school is ghetto as hell. This school is dirty. There is always fights, the school is low key segregated. No body is ever in uniform. This school is not for success, teachers will pass you just to get you out of the school. There are barely any teachers and if we need a substitute, there is barely any. I don't even know Algebra II, because I didn't even have a teacher. This school sucks. DON'T SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!

If there was a way to give this school no stars i would. Worst school i've been to ever! Constant fights, staff that act like children and talk down on students who try to carry themselves in a positive manner, and drama every single day. It's pitiful how much i've seen in the 3 years i've been here. Fights, trash cans being lit on fire in the restrooms, people getting jumped, students being suspended for not having I.D.'s present, security spraying everyone with mace rather your causing fights or trying to get to class and out of the way of fights, the list continues. The things that go on at Northwest is what causes students not to want to come. Northwest is one of the worst school's in Indiana! I look forward to graduation and not ever having to go near this school ever again. I'd never send or let anyone in my family attempt to go to this school. Bottom line go to this school if you want to see fights, drama and negativity instead of positivity, and help with being on track for college.

As a former student, my opinion will likely be biased, but this place sucks the life out of teachers that really care about kids and undervalues students as a rule. Sadly the strict rules seem more like a punishment for being a kid than actual discipline. They get students out of there, but it really depends on how dedicated a kid is to doing well. There is too much noise going on here for most kids to really focus. I made it through because I studied and went home. Ask about sexual assault statistics and fight frequency to see if things are better. If I'm honest, those are things I think that parents should always ask about schools when they're thinking about sending their child there. -- There are always 1or 2 good teachers, but if a program (like band) were to accelerate and start doing well, they move teachers away from the school. I am speaking from the perspective of someone who went there during High School and knows this pattern to be fact. The principal has changed a few times during my time there and after my time there. I graduated in 2014. I have visited a few times since and kept in contact with other students. I honestly hope it's gotten better, but the truth is it's really not the worst school out there.
