I was in the Niles school system all my life until my senior year when I transferred to Clay. Unlike Niles, who only cared about the rich kids or those with the traditional Niles family name, Clay cared about their student no matter who they were. The staff encouraged me to think big and be a go-getter to a point that I couldn't wait to get back to school the next day.

Clay is a very diverse school that has lots of potential. The older staff members are Colonials at heart and do everything they can to see students succeed. Academics at this school are amazing. Through dual credit and AP classes I have received college credit before I entered a post-secondary school. Sports have been lacking in the past decade or so, primarily due to the elimination of neighborhood schools and school of choice. Clay has been a great source of education to me and I would highly recommend this school to parents who want their children to be involved and enjoy their high school career.

Clay High School isn't the greatest school. I went to Clay for my Freshmen year last year. I will not be attending for my Sophomore year. I feel as if South Bend Schools are getting over populated with kids. When I went last year in my Biology Class I had 32 other kids in that class. Its hard to focus in such a big class. Especially when half of them aren't even wanting to learn anything, so they are being disrupting. A lot of kids need that one-on-one experience to learn better. But that wont happen since they have 20-35 kids in each class. I recently moved, and I'am attending Triton High School, and I started 2 days ago. I love the small school. I have 4 kids in one of my classes. I have 2 in my Child Development class. It is so good!!!
