As a student who is currently a senior at Stranahan High School and has been there since my freshman year, I can honestly say that I do not regret coming here. Am I a student in the Science & Pre-Engineering Magnet Program, who has earned college credit towards her major through dual enrollment and AP classes. Also, the teachers that I have had and met are passionate about what they teach and are willing to offer extra help if a certain concept is either difficult to understand or the student just needs more practice, if the student is willing to do the work. Plus, Mr.Formoso is an awesome magnet coordinator.

I'd rate this school a one star because of its content in teachers not doing there job effectively literally just give up in one single mistake a child makes also stranhan structure is just not for your child. I hope you listened to me and I think every other child in stranhan feels the same.

Expensive Pasta

Tbh Stranahan has no type of sponsors at all, and when the school receives money they use it irresponsibly, some of the teachers are disrespectful and hates their job, while other teachers actually care about the students but are penalized for not teaching the way administration tells them too. Because it has a steady Medical program, most students from communities such as Miramar and Miami actually enroll to this school but soon switch to another because of the school environment and faculty. Unfortunately, I must say, Stranahan could do much better than it is currently but don't know how to use their resources and some of the teachers are unqualified to teach their students. Also, they have a horrible problem with keeping band/directors (some dirty ass little girl had the audacity to frame our best qualified band instructor for rape or something like that) but other than that, I wouldn't recommend this school for your child (especially if you live outside the Ft. Lauderdale area). Trust me I'm a current senior, take that chance and send your child to Miramar High or Carol City High. DON'T SEND THEM HERE!

DO NOT TAKE AP WORLD HISTORY the "teacher" waited until the third quarter to teach my child about the essay portion of the exam. All the class does is watch some kind of online news program while the teacher sits on their phone, and only teaches when administration enters the classroom. The children are NOT prepared for the exam! Don't ruin your child's chances!
