I have been going to Doral academy for 5 months And in those 5 months I already want to transfer. The school gives their student a ridiculous amount of homework it’s unnecessary and very very time consuming the hallways are so small and crowded it’s awful there are test every week it’s insane administers are very strict and don’t let the kids live and have a good time it’s awful the classes are difficult and mind you i wouldn’t say im a bad student and it’s difficult for me. I wouldn’t recommend. This school will increase your stress level and all the school cares about is there reputation and money and all they care about isn’t looking good and caring less about there students and classrooms and a better education system .

This mall is great! Definitely would recommend coming here! They even have a pencil store! The food court is meh there isn’t even outdoor seating. At least there are booths inside. I went to Ms. Clark’s store and it was the best! I bought a table and a chair and I also got a free pencil! Every store has only one employee but they are all very helpful. Jk. They wouldn’t let me take the table home and they wouldn’t deliver either. This mall is huge and even has an elevator but not an escalator. Overall great mall! The sign at the front is messed up because it says k-8 center instead of mall! But I would definitely bring my future kids here!

Very good school, strict administration, easy rules to follow, homework is doable, and most, MOST teachers are good at teaching except for a few, after 4 years here, I have learned a lot and recommend the school. The bad reviews are from D students in middle school who got mad at their teacher for switching their seats and decided to express their wrath online in the review.

I love this super market! I was able to buy school supplies for my kids. I just hate the fact that everyone has no taste in real fashion! They are all wearing the same thing. One day I told my daughter to dress in fashion and everyone just kept yelling "DRESS CODE VIOLATION!!!"! How rude of them! Eventually my daughter was sent to the "office" of the place! Either way, the food here was great! I still dislike how everyone wears the same thing. The only problem is that the sign at the front says "Preparatory School". It should say something like "Happy Shopping"! I should run this place to fix it.

The classrooms are tiny and the books are cheap versions of real high school textbooks. Teachers are underpaid and students are not local Doralians. The street is full of warehouses. The place itself used to be a warehouse, you can literally see trucks coming out of neighboring warehouses. The sport facilities are bad and tiny. Every facility in this school is the cheap version of the real thing. The only thing they did well was to decently paint the buildings, which is fishy because those are the only parts of the academy that parents can see. This academy is a place that was manufactured to pull money from students and parents. Parents can even purchase community service hours. Doral teens are not enrolled in this academy. The teens are mainly from Hialeah Gardens and Hialeah.

I am a better today thanks to Doral academy and it's amazing teachers and staff. They are strict and give out home work and work your a$$ off so that you are ready for college and for the "real" world. if you want a challenging school, this is it.

This school is a complete scam. The source of the problem is the administration. The weak administration fails to meet the desires of students and focuses too much on unnecessary things. Not to mention the extremely notable favoritism that practically defines how the administration and many teachers work in this disgrace of a place. Money is spent on sports teams that dont even do that well instead of on repairing the two decade old buildings as well as the practically war torn books (that look like they survived Kristalnacht). To the person that designed the buildings (especially the B building and A building) please never design another building again. The admin of this pathetic institution try to act "cool", "funny", "young" and "friendly" to win the hearts of the students and milk them of their money. This school says it expects a lot from those who enter it yet more than half of the students who attend it are absolute vegetables that cannot be taught, disciplined and assimilated. Furthermore, for some particular reason, this "preparatory school" gets glorified by all of these foul and easily-bribed (corrupt) educational organizations that riddle this country. This school is just another failed attempt to fix the embarrasing education system in this country.

Doing advanced/AP/Honors is a pain and teachers expect so much from you. My 7th grade assignments were way too much. A 57 page civics assignment, and a 7 page math assignment of things my 6th grade teacher didnt teach me. One slip up = failing class. No time for extra activities with the amount of work.

i really dont want to be here. and its not like “oMg i HaTe scHooL tHerEs sO muCh wOrK tO dOoo” no. i genuinely hate Doral Academy Prep. everything about it. form the horrible florescent lighting, to the amount of work they expect us to do, to how hypocritical the teachers and staff are. its unbelievable. and they make you feel so down about yourself. tge enviorment is not healthy for coming of age teens. i cant stand going there. its so sad to know people feel alone in the halls full of students and counselors that want to help. but their egos are so damn high. they cant do anything right. DONT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!! they will be destroyed

It's a challenging school, and the courses are great preparation for college. The lunch isn't that good though, and the vending machines are overpriced. Some teachers are also inexperienced and aren't helpful, but I guess it's alright overall.

ive been going here for five years now, and im going to graduate soon, while this school does offer more than a regular school does, the admins and the teachers can be way too extreme on certain things, such as different colored pants, wearing hoodies, taking away phones out of pockets, and this upcoming year has been the worst due to so many reasons, the overcrowded halls, the constantly vaping in classes, the lack of interest into activities non-athletic, and definitely very little interest for the middle schoolers, yes, the work is overwhelming and indeed stressful, but i understand, it’s to prepare us for the world we will embark on after high school ends the majority of my teachers have been impactful, teachers like Margolles and Phanord are in my top five, they really push you to be the best you can yes, it’s definitely true that this school can be biased simply because you’re involved into athletic activities, and it does get annoying at times this school is saved by the teachers they hire because they make life so much better at school and it sucks because they’re so underpaid

I can not take it anymore. My problem isn't the teachers. Sure, some are better or worse, but I blame the staff and the system for my problems. The math system is absolutely terrible. I don't know which school or education site uses CARNEGIE for studying math. In Carnegie, let's say you get an answer right. Put an accidental period or comma at the end, the answer will be automatically wrong, your progress bar will be set back and you have to spend thirty more minutes doing something you already know. The administrative staff are just not experienced. These 20-year olds who probably just came out of the university just can't successfully run a school, I'm sorry, but that's not how it works. They don't realize how hypocritical and selfish they act. Dress code. What's the point of having both an ID and a uniform? Either or, both mean the same thing. And what about the size of those AP class Binders? How am I supposed to put them in my backpack? What, do you want me to break my back? Start teaching and stop asking for stuff. But again, it's not the teacher's fault in my opinion, because most of the AP classes are the exact same in terms of that. Parking and navigating. When it's raining heavily, and you get out of your final class, you have two options. Try to get out of the campus as fast as you can, and then get yourself or your hoodie so wet and damp that by the time you get in a vehicle to go to your house the water shakes off everywhere like a wet dog, or two, wait below the roof-covered hallway between buildings for 2 hours until your parents or bus have to go through the additional trouble of navigating through the mass of cars and rains to get to you. All the bus drivers are impatient little idiots, and I'm not afraid of saying it, so when it's not raining and you come across them, they beep ten million times for no reason and make the school a havoc. Lack of organization. Sometimes events are mentioned to you from the school, and sometimes you have to navigate deep in their website to find what's going on in the next few days. They ask you to print things and sign them to give them, and then you have no idea where they are. But oh, you can't email them and ask them, because they most likely won't respond. And finally, everything is just unfair. For instance, in school concerts, the organization of ticket sales is terrible. Everyone who buys the tickets online goes first, but it's a massive line. So the people who don't get to buy it online because of reasons have to wait a lot of time outside to get their turn through the giant line of people. Sometimes, they may even miss their own child's performances because of this terrible democracy. It's just absolutely disgusting how things get in here. I am not afraid of saying this. That's pretty much all the major problems there is, though, and the school has a little benefits. But since this is a NEGATIVE review, I don't care for explaining those. The amount of problems I have with this school outweigh the amount of things I admire from it.
