If I could give this school a no star rating, I most definitely would. I've been quiet for a long time about my son's experience there, but it's time to give my thoughts.
My son is autistic, and even with an IEP implementation, the school right properly FAILED him. He was bullied every day all day and had to witness racial slurs and racist foul language constantly. The teachers didn't care, as most of the children are unmanageable and unapproachable, so in my opinion, they probably feared being assaulted.
He hated going to that school, but this is where he was assigned to go by our address. I couldn't afford to keep him in a private school, so he had to sludge his way through this poorly managed and even more so poor on academics, school.
The school boasts nothing to be proud of. Unless you pride your school on allowing violence, drugs and weapons into it. Where the monies to fix up Christina School District Delaware?? My son had become so anxiety ridden and scared, he simply quit and dropped out. Not at all what I ever anticipated from a kid with a 168 IQ. The principle is an idiot and useless. She didn't even try to put up a fight for my son. Be very aware of sending your child with special needs to any school in this district. Because they absolutely and unequivocally don't give a rats behind about your child in any capacity!
