I went to this school, it's ok. The special education program is ok. But a lot of the kids that are not in this program can be mean to us and you get a lot of homework that's up to 3 to 4 hours long. Some teacher don't really understand some of the kids when they get frustrated with the work the teachers give us. But I like a lot of the teachers at this school. Their is a lot of drama in this school, too many fights. But if you want to get high honors and good grades do what you're asked to do and do it. They have a lot of different clubs I like. The clubs are: Best Buddies Unifited sports: soccer, basketball, track, and cheer Unifited Theater Next steps Ski club Powder puff The principal is really funny and good at magic. He loves everyone

5 STARS FOR CONTINUING TO ADVANCE, GROW, RISE TO CHALLENGES YEAR AFTER YEAR, AND EMPOWER THEIR COMMUNITY, THEIR STUDENTS, AND WITH THE HOPES ALL SOUTHINGTON PARENTS, LEADERS, AND CITIZENS ARE AS WELL... THAT SAID, I am deeply disappointed in the prior reviews left here and I felt my voice might help empower some. Just as silence speaks volumes, the lack of words in some comments says volumes for those who chose to disregard how personal reviews are, and can be interpreted by All who read what has been left behind. Our children who by our means and our ways, do learn here and they are all much more interesting and intelligent than times past, and they are educated to the best of all the resources Southington has, -here. By the culmination and cumulative process of all of our means and ways. Not one student -anywhere in the world- attends any school -high, middle, grammar- hoping to achieve 'worst' student, nor does any teacher teach so that they may have the 'worst' students, nor do teachers teach being the 'worst' students. No School, no teacher, no student should ever be labeled 'worst' as an individual or as a group. Constructive comments and means are better left than those of a destructive nature. In my experience and in that of which the wisdom of my mothers, fathers, and my own children, including wisdom learned from my community, "It takes a village to raise a child." It is because of this very wise fact that we all are much more adept and capable to stand up, - face the challenges in our lifetimes by walking hand in hand (rather than apart and divided) by means of necessity to guide our children and ourselves through all times and all challenges we face- so that the children of our community are the leaders of tomorrow they desperately need to be for the well being of all of us. I am proud of Southington High School's progress. It takes time to get all things as right and as best as they can be. Southington has never given up, NOR have they ever stopped trying. As we all are aware there is nothing human that is perfect... So, Thank you SHS, for doing all you are capable of doing. School today is much wiser and informative than 40 years ago. ...Cheers to the best year 2016 can be! GO KNIGHTS!

Their Athletic Director must not be concerned about Girls Lacrosse. The coach is not qualified as is supported by her career winning percentage, which is less than 0.100. so disappointed :(
