Athletic director is a two faced person. Tells the coaches he has their backs, the parents he is supporting their kids, and the players that he supports them. Reality is, he is a politician, and spends his time cultivating his political favors. The student athletes are merely pawns. Sorry Mike, people see the truth eventually.

I'm about to start my sophmore year there tomorrow. It's a pretty good school. They aren't as focused on sports, which I personally like, but they have excellent visual and performing arts classes/programs. I am not a STEM or VPA student but several people I know say they enjoy it. The school offers free breakfast, most of the teachers are great, a decent passing period. It's a good school.

HELP PLEASE WITH ADVICE I'm doing 5 stars to get the attention of those that have commented. I have a daughter going into high school next year. Out of any high school in Boulder Weld and Adams County.... she choose Skyline due to its performing arts program. Wherefore I'm seeking housing to rent in the school boundaries.... my question is this.... Is this school ok for a child that excels in performing arts all the way around... is ok academically HOWEVER, has an IEP that's active due to being "autistic, emotionally challenged". ANY HELP WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

This is a great high school! It has an amazing STEM academy as well as a stellar Computer Science program. Or, if you're more into the arts, it is home to the Vance Brand Civic Auditorium and has a VPA (Visual Preforming Arts) academy. Overall, you can't go wrong by sending your high school student here.

Very upset with this school as a parent! I had four students that attended Skyline High School. I find it funny when my four teenagers complain about being distracted in class and not being able to focus on getting good grades. If a teenager is complaining about the school and that they can't study or pay attention in class without being distracted? In my opinion, you've really missed the mark if teenagers of all people say the school is disorderly!!! I made the mistake of leaving them in all year long!!! If I would have taken any sign from the first two months of school when a senior boy stood up pulled off his shirt and tried to fight my junior daughter for telling him to be quiet in class and sit down. After he made a big disturbance threatened her for telling him what to do and I was called by my daughter and to the high school in less than 10 minutes and I work as a contractor. Unfortunately, when I got there the vice principal did nothing for discipline and nothing to assure our safety of our daughter in the future. I had to call back and get the kid transferred out of the class so that it wouldn't happen again. Unfortunately that is the best part of the story of skyline! There will be more to be told as it's on playing right now with the foolishness of Heidi as a principal leading a number 2 rated School out of 10 in the state of Colorado and she can't see anything wrong with it? Your school is one of the lowest ratings for the whole entire State of Colorado,let alone in the bottom 25% of the whole entire nation!!! But the saddest part of the whole entire thing is that when the parents show up both mom and dad which I could never see any parents at that school hardly ever. They don't work with parents? But then again when your school is a number 2 in rating you probably don't work with anybody who would help steer this in the right direction. Our 4 kids that we're rated in the top 3.75% of the school and as parents they still didn't listen 2R worries and fears about the school? Heidi the principal just assured me how great they are and then lied to me!

School has had significant upgrades to learning technology and improvements to the building itself, a much better choice than it use to be especially now that it is a performance art school
