This School is classified in the category of University.
My daughter and I visited the campus as it currently ranks number 3 for Veterinary Medicine. The staff was genuine, sincere and gracious. They setup one on one meetings to make the visit extremely personal. They appeared to have the students best interest at heart and even supplied a full day parking pass. The facilities appeared updated and state of the art. They were heads and shoulders above our visit at Texas aTm. The only prevention of a five star rating was partially our fault as we were unable to get a tour of the school of medicine.
My Computer Sciences classes are very hard but I love what I'm learning. Great campus (though pretty big and spread out), nice people, pretty good dorm food, awesome rec center.
I will never stop thinking about my 4 years at State and how much I loved it.
CSU does not care at all about their students. Everyday is a struggle to find parking, and now they're building a stadium on campus (which essentially was unanimously voted against by both the students and the citizens of the city itself) that is taking up at least two parking lots. Some of the professors are pretty cool and the student body itself isn't bad... but the administration couldn't care less about their students. All they want is your money.
Beautiful campus in a beautiful town. Prestigious state school. Proud to be a CSU ram.
Dishonest and reckless administration
Online it said that they offered free tuition for veterans, but unfortunately they rescinded that offer it would seem
I feel to American for this place.
I spent one year learning ESL at lovely CSU. I wish I could comeback to CSU. This university is awesome and it is good on both academics and athletics.
Study material is good
Love my experience with this school their awesome!
Loved my experience here. It was definitely 4 years of my life I will never forget. I learned so much from all of my professors and enjoyed the support I was given throughout my experience.
I'm glad I went to this university because it opened my eyes about university educational institutions. Overall, a good experience. Sometimes, however, the fact that I went to school and didn't pursue a professional career earlier on like I could have done catches up to me and makes employers shrug me off. I don't see a university education as all that necessary in our society anymore, as it is becoming way too expensive and less applicable to real-life situations. If you want an education that's going to benefit you, go to a technical college. CSU, like many other university institutions, is more concerned about your wallet than you.
One of the most beautiful campus in Colorado. The town is nice!
On March 3rd 2018, the AP reported that Campus police on this university committed serious human rights violations. Without any evidence whatsoever of any wrongdoing, they took aside, frisked and aggressively interrogated 2 brothers who were part of an admission tour, simply because they were Native Americans! How dare they! To make up the damage, the university should officially apologize, fire the police involved, and offer to cover their tuition.
Great campus! Loads of bikes, very fun!
It does not proper care individual eacy and every student. Buy I love it for friendly behave.
Nice place to visit and study.
Great college, even better community.
I love my vet at home, but this is the best experience I have ever had. Beautiful facility. Doctors are wonderful. The main thing is that the doctors here are also good with very complicated diagnoses. Lupus of skin and muscles, poly arthritis , auto immune disorders. They saved my shelties life because I was about to give up. Been to drs from NC to AK to Ca. No one helped like these. Highly recommend them
I am very proud to have a master degree in TESL/TEFL from this university 2014
I loved this school, and I had a good time, the only thing I hate is that it cost too much money.
I do an online program at CSU because I'm a working adult. I would suggest the school implement a Sunday at midnight due date for all classes and assignments. With the teachers having random due dates, it doesn't allow time for a working adult to study and complete homework. This makes it very difficult and stressful when the only time you have are the weekends to do your school work but your homework was all due on the weekdays. It took 4 months just to get into the school. Classes cost $1,332. Very expensive!
Great place to go to school
Great school. Great biking paths, great town.
I am only 10 years old but my parents went to CSU and they say that it is awesome!!!!
I went there with my sister and I loved it.
Had a friend who went here - beautiful campus - not great parking at times.
Top-notch university!
This place really rules, can't recommend more highly. Great school spirit, alumni support and uniquely embraced in a great community with excellent recreation nearby. Great sunshiney weather, active people and an amazing, safe downtown and nightlife. Professors care and are renowned in their fields. Good class size, classroom technology and an excellent student union round out a really beautiful campus. The business and vet schools are top rated; interesting natural resource degree offerings and a new computer science program magnify CO's largest university.
Awesome campus with great programs
my wonderful husband Ej, loved to tell about his college days @ CSU, how he was so greatful for his college education. He loved his sports referee participation, coaching middle, high school and teaching math in Southern California .
**** Professors and students are torturing animals here, at this so-called "University"...........drowning mice , to see how long they could swim. .....It must be a pretty evil staff of ignorant goons, that runs this "school", and calls themselves "professors."
So, when people want to know what your experience is, it's always a tough question... Driving prospect? Decent. Walking shields? Matt. Eating canes? Definitely leaving that on read. Please, if you would, drop your experience below and let me know what you think of your time here. For me? Yeah.
Best school in the state, hands down.
I have studied in here as an international student for one year, but now I transfer to another college. The main reason is the reputation of the CSU college of business. The employment rate of international students after they graduation is so low, and I rarely find one get even an internship. Although there are lots of nice people live here, you get almost nothing to do in this dull town besides hiking or playing with your dogs.
This school is amazing, there are really no words for it. The campus is beautiful, the teacher engaging and knowledgeable, there are more resources for students than you will ever need, the advisors are awesome and get to know you on a personal level! the food in the dorms is top notch as well as the dorms themselves! CSU is a fantastic school! GO RAMS
Don't go to a university that invents their own Newspeak to use on-campus
I had a pretty poor experience here. Not worth the costs. I went to UNC and CSU, in hindsight UNC has better systems in place to focus on success of the individual person. CSU seemed like a giant business with a revolving diploma door, as long as you can pay to pass through. While alumni to CSU I am, I unfortunately would reconsider going here if you’re in any way a non-traditional student, transfer student, mature student, or financially tight. The new stadium is nice but when I went there it was high priority over classrooms falling apart, a sad fact of Tony’s Business School.
Had a tour. The tour was great, pretty campus, but the tour seemed a bit "out of touch". The tour guide was nice and answered questions easily, but wouldn't explain each building. Would stop every 5 or 10 minutes and turn around and talk, but that was about it.
As a U.S. Marine I got to travel a lot and see numerous colleges and there ways of handling business. So far I have been completely unimpressed with CSU. There employees are normally very rude toward anyone who has any issue what so ever and at times I wonder if the professors would have even been able to teach at a high school level. The parking is always an issue especially for commuter students and the price of a parking permit to this school is one of the highest in the nation which makes very little sense to me considering there is barely ever any parking available. As far as classes go it really is hit or miss. You'll either have a professor who truly loves what there doing and has great passion in it or you'll find the complete opposite individual who you can tell is just there for a pay check. I'm currently speaking with the P.R. dept. in regards to there parking services which has some of the rudest individual's I've ever met.
Better university i like it
Why not! Great resources to study and develop your skills. Great professors. I am in the Business School.
Phenomenal school. The science programs in particular are top notch but combined with one of the best Recreation Centers in the States and high quality of student life (clubs, Mongolian bbq in the dorms, etc.) make this an outstanding institution. While there are a couple deadbeat professors the vast majority are hardworking and brilliant. You get out of education what you put into it, and CSU will give you the resolve and resources to put in a great deal.
Absolutely beautiful campus. Everyone is super friendly.
The campus was great, but the campus police were very rude. We saw them sneaking around writing tickets to students on bicycles. We also saw multiple areas where they were hiding trying to write speeding tickets.
Not much to offer here. Some community colleges provide a better education.
CSU great hosts for the National Collegiate Landscape Competition. Beautiful campus and wonderful people!!!
Colorado State University has been a remarkable experience. I loved meeting so many great people. The professors who taught me were incredible too. CSU definitely has been a good time and I am sad to leave. I was involved in C.R.E.W.S. and it was easily my favorite part of my time at Colorado State University. Gwen and Emma definitely helped make each member feel welcomed! The only negative thing I can say about CSU is their Financial Aid office is a disaster. I have gone into that office so many times since August 2014, called, written emails, etc. The responses I got from the people who work there were rude and just not sincere. It made me feel as if my financial situations didn't matter to them which is why I decided to leave the school. Green and yellow will be a part of my life until the day I die (even if I only could stay for a semester).
Racist school!
Picturesque part of the country
Nice big university with a beautiful campus.
I just recently graduated from this institution in May. Overall, my experience at CSU was really positive. I am aware, however, of the concept of higher education being a scam nowadays. I feel the shift in financial burden onto the students primarily is a cruel way to enslave people with the shackles of debt. I don't think everyone needs to go to college to be successful, the University has its positive attributes as well as the darker elements.
I love this university because I sought training from Dr. W. James Warner and Dr. Timothy Gate and found love from them. They are always in my heart and memories. May God shower his blesses on them.
Great campuses, great Veterinary Hospital, and great place to plan your company's retreat or their children's education's. Also, they have a fantastic Athletics Center. If you have swimmers in the family, a cyclist or two, or even, God forbid, LOL, a multi-sport endurance athlete... You may want to consider sending your kid to school here. Likewise, becoming a professor here. Or even better, a graduate student. Ride safe! Keep On Walking please... Drive even more safely please. Cheers,
I'm currently going here, and I seriously regret it. If I could I would give a 0 star rating. Terrible teachers that try to fail you purposely. I've only been here for 3 weeks and I've only been given a terrible and horrible experience on and about everything. If you are thinking about applying for CSU, please do yourself a huge favor and think twice. But who am I to be listened to? No one ever listens to my advice.
They force you to live in the crappy dorms first year so they can make money - in the dorm I was staying in, it was in a state of disrepair and nothing ever gets fixed - two of the three shared bathrooms on my floor were broken for half a semester and nobody cared. Tuition is ridiculous and increases every year. Tony Frank only cares about the football team, and sunk a bunch of money into a new oncampus stadium (even though Hughes is perfectly usable) that everyone else voted against and the football team sucks. There is nothing to do in Fort Collins except hike, be an alcoholic, or do drugs. Came here thinking people were nice and more laid back - they're not, Fort Collins is becoming Boulder. You're as employable coming out of CSU as you are any other college, except you're paying more for a mediocre education. Unfortunately, I cannot say I'm proud to be a CSU Ram because I'm not.
Its so sad that all the trolls were leaked by the danish and their troll trace thing i star =1 prayer
Literally put out a list of words you arent allowed to say.....or else! F this place. Im out
awesome i wanna go here
Horrible for any attempt to do reasearch, go to CU.
Great place to study
Top Facilities (Y). Ideal place to study.
Going to CSU was the worst decision of my life. I hate this school.
Beautiful campus in a beautiful area. Cost is a bit high
All the bad reviews about this school are 100% accurate. If you actually care about your career don't attend this school. You don't get any real job training so you're essentially useless to employers. If you actually have an ounce of creativity in you or can come up with an original thought then don't attend this school. The professors will only stifle you and tear you down. If you actually want to have a home, a family, a normal job that pays you fair and gives you vacation time then don't attend this school. They'll only overcharge you for tuition and lock you into a field that doesn't have use in today's world. You'll have debt for life and a meager paycheck. I am a victim of this school's predatory behavior. Don't fall for their trap. My field needs lots of people, we train, we pay more than what the PhDs make at CSU, we don't need a phony degree, and we don't put that nasty pressure or negativity on your plate. Just work hard, learn, improve yourself, and you get to go home at a normal time so you can focus on the better parts of life. Don't let CSU steal your freedom. The truth hurts. This school is garbage.
Attended as an undergrad in the 90's. Good school, nice small town atmosphere
I really enjoyed my time at Colorado State. The University has made significant investments in infrastructure and facility upgrades to make it one of the most beautiful and functional campuses in Colorado. The education I received at the CSU Business School left me very satisfied, and I was able to obtain a job one month before graduation, in part thanks to the strong CSU alumni network in Denver. The city of Fort Collins is very inviting, includes tons of recreational opportunities, and is a wonderful place to live.
Takes. You back the schools was.nice lay out
Went to college here in he 90's. Incredible education and experience!
Facilities are great, staff is super friendly, and I was happy to stay there. I do not recommend the dorms in any way, but am happy to wake up and go to sleep with virtually any food I want with amazing buffet options!
Very pretty campus. Parking was a bit difficult though
By far the best school in the state for the best students in the country.
I wish to go to this school in my future. I have heard any excellent things about the school. In my future if I am too attend this school I will bring my enthusiasm for learning and my hard-working attitude.
Nice campus. Very wide and expansive. I know there is a lot of history around the Oval area, but the greens pace around Lory Student Center is worth a stroll.
Good to see positivity-----starting my masters this year
Lovely campus!
A beautiful campus!
Do not go here for the art major, most of the staff is very rude at the art apartment and will gang up on you. They only like to show off their own art and not give a damn about students and is not good at helping. Me and my friends couldn't stand being an art major at CSU so we switched to what CSU is really good at, bio, chemical, etc. Go to Csu for those majors, not art. Other than that CSU is pretty cool.
CSU has a 29% acceptance rate in 2016 for Undeclared Mechanical Engineer Freshman...OVER a 70% chance of failure. PLEASE do not only ask about the curriculum but the exact percentage of students admitted into the Mechanical Engineering Program. I believe your money and your students self-esteem would be better invested elsewhere!
This school does not care about the needs of each individual student but rather how much money they can make off each student, just like you'd expect from a large university. They try and mess up transcripts so that you have to take classes you don't need so you are stuck here longer and so they can make more money off of you. They did this to me and quite a surprising number of my friends. Terrible school, so sad I wasted time and money here. Joke of an education. Also got food poisoning 4 times from the dining hall food after being forced to live in the dorms and get a meal plan so the school can use me to make even more money. Lots of SJWs here, if you aren't a diehard liberal and say anything that they deem isn't "politically correct" you will be labeled something ridiculous and insulted just for having a different view and expressing your views in a peaceful way. Go to a community college and save money and receive an education from people who actually care about teaching and not just how much their salary is. Also lots of hate crimes on campus and in Fort Collins, probably in retaliation to all the annoying SJWs. Such a miserable school and Fort Collins is a boring and depressing small town pretending to be a city, save yourself the trouble and don't even bother applying here.
I applied to work at this establishment in the facilities department and was instead of treated as person who has worth I felt by the way I have been dismissed as a number instead of a potential team member. I would like to say that I use to be a fan of the school but after the way they treated me I wouldn't recommend working for them. Thank you to those members that work so hard and make the campus a better place.
Great campus. Beautiful scenery. Lots of activities around town. Almost went to this school myself. Would recommend, especially if looking at any type of agricultural careers. New stadium, however, is not in a great position geographically. Staff seemed nice
The Foundry is a great place to work and eat
Great events, student services, and education! I love that the psych program is so research-oriented here. Unfortunately, it is pricey (as many universities are these days), however I would say that the experience of CSU has been worth it-- even as a self supporting student.
Great School. The lecturers are great. Prof Constance DeVereaux is the best lecturer ever. Her human relation is awesome. I love LEAP Institute for the Arts.
I have never been to this place.
regarding the Native American boys being inturrupted from a tour due to white fear and privilege, PLEASE compensate those boys for BOTH TRIPS!! TONY you better give them a gosh darn personalized tour. Officers asked to “check their pockets”? Please. HarrSsment and entitlement.
It is not worth your time at all
Love this place! Cool temps 65 and beautiful. Eating at Blind Pig. It's awesome. So Coloradian! Lots of TVs with football on. Waiting on CSU v UNC. Go BEARS!!!!
I love my school. Tons of indoor food options and study areas.lots of activities and everyone is ready to help you.
Took a tour for my daughter looking for a college. Loved the campus. Modern, diverse, and had a very Colorado vibe. I think it will make her short list!
CSU is a great school when it comes to some of the academics, however their financial aid office is useless. They do not help at all. Also, a lot of the degrees say "graduate in 4 years," but if you are going for a degree that you need to qualify for in some manner then I would expect longer that 4 years; more like 5-6 years. The campus is pretty, but most of the dorms are old and look run down. Fort Collins is a beautiful town though.
Awesome school, awesome town, lots to do. Major school spirit. I love Colorado!
what a sexy school
IT SUCKS TO BE A CSU RAM #GOBUFFS
i dont know how to review this.. im only 15, but i want to go here. can someone please tell me if i really should or not?
good
Am currently a freshman, and I will sum up the issues that this school has. Ridiculous tuition: I was one of the unfortunate few who thought this school was different. CSU is literally just a basic university with an inflated price. DO NOT fall for paying 50k a semester because I promise you that you can get the exact same education anywhere else. The dorms suck. They require you to live on campus in year one to ‘build character’, but it’s really just so that you have to pay even more money than you already do. The food in these dorms is awful (few options and durrell failed their health inspection), and the things they provide (electricity, water, cleaning supplies) are outdated and awful. Even the toilet paper sucks!! We’ve had a stain on the floor all year that the ‘dedicated’ cleaning team hasn’t touched since September. But I’m sure they’ll charge us money for it after the year ends. Parking is impossible to find (you have to pay for this too, adding up to hundreds of dollars per year). they refused to build a parking lot next to the stadium, as they are so afraid of something bad happening that they are habitually anti-fun, barely even allowing people to tailgate. They claim to have ‘unlimited resources’ for the students, saying that “we” have a brand new Health center and physical + mental health services. But, you guessed it, you have to pay $150 + for each of these sessions, because apparently the millions they make off of us isn’t enough. The town itself is incredibly boring. If you aren’t 21 and don’t like to bar hop every single weekend, your options are to hike or sit in the dorm. If you like to party, I would also say go somewhere else, as (we keep coming back to Anti fun) partying or drinking on campus is strictly not allowed, and unless you are in a fraternity or on a sports team, there’s no way you will get in to the Off campus parties. I’m not sure how a school with over 30,000 kids is so incredibly boring, but they’ve managed to do it. They pour millions into the sports teams each year, and outside of the facilities and jerseys, they leave much to be desired. Nobody seems to care about the Basketball team as they finish well below .500 almost every year, and the football team disappoints as well. Finally, if you are coming here because you like the outdoors, I would again say pick somewhere else as we are hours away from true Colorado. Tuition also increases each year by the maximum amount, yet they never give the professors a raise (average salary hovers around 30-40k, while tony frank makes well Over 7 figures each year). Additionally, if you aren’t a die hard liberal SJW get ready to be constantly alienated, as the kids on this campus get so offended over petty things, it makes expressing your opinion difficult at best. Long story short: ever since tony frank took over, This school has contintued to put a priority on profit rather than their students. The only reason I’m giving it two stars is because the stadium and facilities are nice. After that, literally every single aspect of this school leaves much to be desired. I beg you to go somewhere else, because this place sucks.
Too many hippies. Undie run, tho.
Awesome campus! Very fun!
Great College! I am very impressed as to how diverse this college is when it comes to courses. They have a strong music program for organ as well as choir and other music classes. The campus food isn't too bad and overall the campus is maintained quite well. The notable "oval drive" is a landmark in front of the old library. As for RA's and housing.. That's a different story. Campuses across the US and not just this one, need to seriously evaluate their RA's and how corrupted they are. Sort of like "secret shoppers" for businesses. Students should not be a sub governing body, much less the "Police" of housing, due to their negligence, lack of responsibility and maturity. Being a corrupt RA shouldn't just be a school penalty, it should be a Felony charge. If Renters and Housing for the general public have to follow strict guidelines, with accordance of "Reasonable expectations of privacy" so should the RA's and the housing department. Speaking of crimes and such, Crime-rate for this area is relatively low and impressive at that for how high the population is. A partial review not regarding CSU: Fort Collins has a serious lack of intelligence when it comes to lane flow of their traffic on the streets. A traffic cam perched infront of a turn light that allows only 2 cars through or a 3rd crazy driver is no way to go. Obviously the person that set that light up, did not attend this college and needed to. Great college, nice campus, bad housing (typical) and okay food, with great programs and classes.
Worst college ever seen... you can never find any available ,payable and LEGAL parking spot except the library if you don't have permit. So what should I do if I want to park somewhere around the dorm?????
Un American and dorms were disgusting
A brand new stadium, tuition that keeps increasing the maximum 6% annually, and good ole Cam the Ram, what's not to love at CSU!
Colorado State University (also referred to as Colorado State, State, and CSU) is a public research university located in Fort Collins, in the U.S. state of Colorado. The university is the state's land grant university, and the flagship university of the Colorado State University System. Luckily, I have been here in August 2012 and stayed there for 4 months. It was a great time in my life!
I absolutely love Colorado state!
My best buddy jazz and Weston both attend here, excellent scholars and great men, both built by this good school but that kid dylan smells like a cactus
Taking my son back to CSU. He is finishing up his first year and doing great. Love this school.
Price was a bit higher than I'd like but the ambiance was great and it was pretty clean. Decent customer service and the owner has a cool beard.
The dorms and cafeteria are amazing and the views are fantastic.
Amazing campus! Beautiful and the students here are so nice.
Stayed here during a company retreat, not bad for a cheap nights stay. The rooms and beds are small (dorms) but it was conveniently close to food, gas, and most important... breweries. There was a nice ping pong table that kept me entertained for hours.
Beautiful campus with a lot of greenery and great buildings. Prime location as well.
Great ag school with the most incredible vets I have ever met!
This school is horrible. I wish I had done some more research before investing 40k for the MBA program. They don't care about the students at all and only care about money. Policies and procedures are not clear at all. Some classes are seriously just a PowerPoint presentation with the teacher talking... Invest in your education somewhere else..
The business school is the best in the state, and has high quality business come recruit. Highly recommended attending this university and enjoy this premier town.
I am who I am today because of CSU. Best.Experience.Ever. GO RAMS
